Rafting the Grand Canyon | pt 1

Hiking the Hayduke through the Grand Canyon was an unbelievable experience, but while I was down there I couldn’t help but think how cool it would be to come back and raft the whole thing. So when a last minute opportunity came up to join a 20 day private trip this November I hopped on it!
Rafting is definitely a bit different than backpacking, but over the course of the 280 miles I started to get into the swing of things. I learned so much, got to row some (smaller) rapids, and enjoyed hanging with our awesome crew of like minded, outdoorsy folks!
This video covers the first “half” of our trip, from Lee’s Ferry to Phantom Ranch including our side adventure up Silver Grotto, Redwall Cavern, Nankoweap Granaries, the Little Colorado, and more.
