I have a really hard connecting a password protected url link to power BI. I have user name and password for the website but it gives me error of "webbrowser content only anonymous credentials". I tried using anonymous, windows and basic under "web access content". Nothing is working. Worst part is that no one is talking about this solution over the internet. Please guy in a cube make a video about it.
Hi Patrick, I enjoy all your videos. I have seen this video but I have an advance issue regarding importing tables from web. I want to import 19 table from this web fantasy.premierleague.com/statistics . There 19 tables on this web but you have to click through the 19 pages. I would have appended this tables if they have different Url but in this case they only have 1! how do I get name on the second sheet 3rd and 4th etc... Hellllp! I trust you would come back with something. Thanks in advance.

Hey Patrick! Great Video! I was wondering, could the invoke function in a column feature be used to execute a SQL Stored Procedure using values in the PowerBI Table as parameters to the function and subsequently the Stored Procedure?
Yes, you can do pretty much anything with functions. So let's say you have a stored procedure that has one parameter year, and for that year it returns Sales. If you have a table with years, you can easily make a function that will execute that stored procedure using the year from the said table. You can then expand the new column (which has a "table type", the result set coming from the stored procedure), and you will have all your data in one table. Obviously my example is pretty dumb but you get the point likely :).
Yes you can. Just replace Get Data from Web with doing a stored procedure call to a database. Then you would follow the same steps by creating the parameter and replacing any hardcoded values in the Advanced Editor with the parameters. Everything after that is the same, Create Function, Invoke Function to add column, etc...

I don't see why a schedule on the service shouldn't work. Check your data source credentials and refresh history for errors. I have a sqlsaturday dashboard community.powerbi.com/t5/Data-Stories-Gallery/Pass-SQLSaturday-Dashboard/td-p/489529 that has lots of functions and web extracts which updates daily. If you cannot get it working post a question with a sample to the community forum they will help.

There is no security in a powerbi desktop doc. Once in the server or report server users cannot be restricted. Dataflows could also provide a way in the service to secure your function

what if to refresh fetch data? so to get new data come into web? again repeat steps or refresh button will do all task
