That room was actually suppose to be help commune with spirits (called a psychomanteum) by using the mirror in a dark room. Of course the mirror being broken does spell disaster tho lol. Only learned that when I played the game and bought the Castle two days ago.
The man just eeked at the painting then proceeded to bear the full weight of fucking capitalism on it with a Sell Gun and then fucking smashed the walls apart. I can honestly say that Jerma easily beats any horror in this world.
