Sorry about the focus issues in this videos... for some reason my camera wanted to focus on the tree behind me! But I couldn't re-film because I had already filled out my calendar 🙄
Seriously great idea. Absolute game changer. I’ve been planning monthly and still loathe it. I’m definitely going to try it this way to see if it works. We usually shop our pantry and freezer first and then determine what to buy for so we’ll have to figure out that aspect of it.
I've watched your series, but I still got a question that you probably already answered in the video. Maybe I just don't get it because I'm thick headed. My question is: How do you use it on a day to day basis or weekly basis. You've planned out the entire year, but do you look at the calendar and you see a general "theme" for the day then you go look up a more specific recipe from your themes lists then you go grocery shopping? For example the calendar says "Pasta night". SO you then look at your more detailed chart with specific recipe in it? How does this work with the grocery shopping list?
Hi There! I don't actually put "Pasta Night" on the calendar. I have a rotation that I created for Pasta Night and I put the rotation on the calendar. So for my pasta night I have Macaroni and Cheese, Super Quick Tomato Cream Pasta, Pesto Pasta and Mexicali Pasta. On the first Monday I would put Macaroni and Cheese, on the next Monday I would put Super Quick Tomato Cream Pasta, on the next Pesto Pasta, and on the next Mexicali Pasta. Then I would just start over! Does that make sense? I go into more details about creating the rotation in this video: ruclips.net/video/3FFxfALcq1A/видео.html

Let me know if you try it and if it works for you! I still shop my pantry and freezer first before I head to the store, so you can keep that up!

Then with the grocery list I just look at each of the recipes and create the list each week :)
