Ironically or not the movie rendition of the book shows Joan bringing Christina home from Chadwick where a writer from Redbook was there to do a piece on Joan. The article you have found gives evidence of the very public feud already brewing between movie star and daughter of movie star who wanted very much to be a star at that time. I no longer wonder why she was cut out of the will, and neither should she.

Joan couldn't get the agency to send anymore help. The agency said the maids refused to work there.
