I found that-particularly in books 4&5-the sex seemed to take center stage over all other aspects of the story arcs to the point of banality. Maybe Martin needed to get laid so that he wasn't so damn obsessed with sex. also in book 4 he mentioned that he "just kept writing and writing" and felt he had too much to say to put it in one book and decided to write a fifth as a result.

Those would be the security personnel. Specifically in this case they are the guys dressed in black suits who are sent by the studios to prowl the hall looking for people who try to record movie clips. They were gathered to the right of the hall prepping for the next panels which were sreen gems and sony movies.. So they weren't even there for GoT.Most of the security are pretty cool/considerate. But others at times not so much.
We tried to get them to quiet down but it didn't help much. I probably won't be shooting from that side of hall h anymore. Too busy in that area. On the following day I switched over to the other side thats why you see my Hobbit, Man of Steel etc panel vids being shot from the left which I have to say I like better for a couple of reasons.

Alfie sat through the thing like a 12 year old forced to spend an afternoon with his auntie! :-P The rest of the cast was awesome, but there seemed to be a lack of energy at that panel, nothing new to show, and even though they bragged about being one of the biggest cast on TV, they only managed to get 5 actors. Oh well. The Walking Dead panel right before it however rocked! Still no regrets... the GOT swag we got was awesome! :)

He is 64-years old. I think he is allowed and entitled to some rest and relaxation and to simply seek out enjoyment in his autumn years. As much as I adore the books and can't wait for the next one, it is his life and he can take as long as he likes. I'd also rather that than he rush it merely to appease people like you.
Because Comic Con has become more about good works of fiction and other things related to the geek and nerd world rather than just focusing on comics. They could change the name, but really that would be pointless since it's still the same event and Comic Con is more or less an icon more than anything these days.
I really really wish he wouldn't have killed off Ned Stark so quick. he shoulda sent him to the wall, then when stannis came in Eddard could have taken to his side like he intended to before the yellow shite stained prince took his head. I think she was great in season 1, but in Season 2 she was just over the top angry and frustrated the whole time. Too intense for my vision of Catelyn. Maybe that was the writer/director's fault but still, I think Nikolaj is the closest to my vision of the characters in the book, even if he is Danish!

He is 64-years old. I think he is allowed and entitled to some rest and relaxation and to simply seek out enjoyment in his autumn years. As much as I adore the books and can't wait for the next one, it is his life and he can take as long as he likes. I'd also rather that than he rush it merely to appease people like you.
Because Comic Con has become more about good works of fiction and other things related to the geek and nerd world rather than just focusing on comics. They could change the name, but really that would be pointless since it's still the same event and Comic Con is more or less an icon more than anything these days.
I really really wish he wouldn't have killed off Ned Stark so quick. he shoulda sent him to the wall, then when stannis came in Eddard could have taken to his side like he intended to before the yellow shite stained prince took his head. Sean Bean was the best actor to grace the show so far, all the other are superb as well, but he was the best in my opinion.

He's more of a pathetic, pitiful character than a repulsive one like Joffrey or Cersei, I don't know if you have read the books but he acts the way he does out of a need for approval from someone, specifically his father in Season and Book 2, which causes him to do some truly terrible things.
Of course it is. It's a great show that can only be watched legally by people willing to pay a sizable monthly fee. I understand the whole draw of HBO is the lack of censoring or advertisements, but I'd gladly watch ads to legally watch every uncensored episode.
I think she was great in season 1, but in Season 2 she was just over the top angry and frustrated the whole time. Too intense for my vision of Catelyn. Maybe that was the writer/director's fault but still, I think Nikolaj is the closest to my vision of the characters in the book, even if he is Danish!
No, I'm saying George Martin's performance was horrible this year. Last year was good, this year, not so much. Don't worry I know my place, I'm just wondering if you know yours because apparently telling people to shut their damn mouths is rude and quite honestly, out of line.
most fans have a hard time making that distinction between character and actor. especially if they're really into the show, like a lot of GoT fans are.

This panel was awful, which was mainly the fault of the moderator. GRRM is the mountain that does not write, and he has a weird, childish fixation on sex and sex questions -- the kid in charge of "boobies?" Seriously? Creepy. I like GofT in spite of him and his incredible immaturity.

Sorry, "obviously not appropriate." Now I'll be criticized by his devotees, but his constant, repetitive sexual stuff, like asking Emilia Clarke about her dress (no boobies!) is just pathetic and humiliating for the actors. HBO should have done better.

Same here, i pirate it, but it's either pirate it or not watch it at all in Kazakhstan, and im a fan of the books, have two sets of them on russian and on english, so i want to watch how the books are transfered to the TV.

I agree with the earlier posters. Please PTB don't let George moderate these things. He is not a skilled moderator. He asks (awkward) questions awkwardly, and he of course keeps talking about himself.
