Good video. I’m glad to hear Starlink is going in the black as far as their financial situation is, so that’s good news. It’s too bad they had some problems with the last launch of the cell phone satellites. Sounds like they will eventually work around these problems, but hopefully this doesn’t put them in the financial red zone because of the problem launching those last satellites. Keep up the good work, even though I’m not a Starlink customer at this time, I might be some day.

A couple years ago they lost around 50 satellites to a solar flare. I worked on a satellite project in the 80's, so I know a bit about what they are doing. They have learned a lot it that time, but the government is still 20 years behind in their use of technology.

Ion drives give one, maybe two, butterfly sneezes. The reason Ion drives work is because they can deliver force over a long period of time.
If you were in space and you put your hand into the output of the ion drive, you would die instantly because you are in a vacuum, duh. Ok, bad example.

can you imagine how perfect these launches and ships are gonna be in like 5 more years let alone 10 years. dam things probably be safer than air planes.
i make random things out of scratch for this and that purpose, things i "engineer" lol... are a good 80% good to go from the first version and as i use them for their purposes a few time, i tweek them out each time and by their 5th or so use, they work near perfectly. but then the actual strangth of the parts meterial i use will prove to be good or not so long lasting so then i use other materials that work better and last longer. so i see exactly just how well made something can be or not be and its all about the valume of trial and error. neat stuff really when you think about monster things like SpaceX stuff.
i tell ya though. its actually crazy how much time you can drop down on some random what seems to be fast and easy to make things. like the stupidest stuff, you think it only take like 2 hours. but then 3 oclock in the afternoon rolls around and you finally got it just right. its like wtf lol
like this for example. i got a 300 gallon rain tank sitting on a 3 foot base that gets the roof run off. i figured to actually gather that much run off into one down spout, i'd secure and seal a piece of angle iron to the roof in key points that flow the water all to that one down spout, but as straight forward as it seems to be to do, it took 3 adjustments to get it flowing and properly secured to make it opperate at 80% its best. then another few times of messing with it abit here and there to get it dependable. went through 2 or 3 tipes of angle materials along the way, trying not to have to put any screws into the roof, which i didnt but to prevent that, thats where most of the hickups came from. using differant glues and sealants ect.
so its wick actually just how much time it takes to get things working good and last long.
to think what they got their hands on at SpaceX and Musk has his head wrapped around.....WOW!!! its like im the one you runs NASA, in comparison lol
