You have made such a valuable video. I don't live with my family and i have found nopales where i live, In rural wisconsin. I wanted to cook them so badly!!! Thank you for making it possible to cook with my family from hundreds of miles away
EXACTLY!!! I see all of these white people cleaning them, and all the mexicans bombing the guy in the comments ..."YOURE GONNA GET A BUNCH OF SPIKES IN YOUR MOUTH!" Lol this lady did it with EASE!
The comments on this video are absolutely lovely. What a wonderful community. Thank you for the recipes! Mi bisabuela would make nopales for me as a child but she never got the chance to teach me how to make them. Felt like I was watching her cook again.

Mmm nopales are my favorite food. I love them with black beans, cilantro, garlic, and tomatoes. Usually when I make them I use the leftovers with eggs the next day. I never thought to have them with potatoes, but I’ll definitely be trying that this weekend! Thanks for this great video
Hi I just cooked the second recipe in this video. Also it’s my first time to eat nopales. I love it and will be cooking this again and again. Thank you so much.
Thanks for showing the picking and peeling. I like nopales but had never seen the prep. My favorite was made on a campfire by a young lady from Sonora who sliced the leaves along one side to make a pita like opening, then grilled both sides while cooking spicy sausage then stirring eggs into the pan. The nopales were opened and filled with the sausage/egg mixture and some chopped green onion. The whole thing was wrapped with a flour tortilla. One of the best breakfasts I have ever had.
I miss this so much. My son grandma from Monterrey always made this it was so yummy I can't wait to make it again from your recipe Thank you so much 💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛🌹🌹🌹🌹
