A solution I use for the red lobster thumb guard is to but a ziptie under the tip plate of the thumb, this way the thumb inside the glove feels tight but when you use a thumb grip or sword grapple it brings the plate with it and prevents exposure.
Nice video! Which one would you recommend to a beginner in longsword ? I often get hit on the back of the hand/knuckles, but until I get better I'd like some protection :D Thanks for advice If I can offer some criticism, the music bits are a bit too loud compared to your voice. Other than that great job.
@Schwertschwinger: Do I understand correctly that instead buying Lobsters 2 you would rather go for old ones + blast cap? And still you think new ones does have enough protetion for longsword or not? Its probably in movie, but I can't understand everything :(
:0 what do you think of the pro gauntlets? will you get them? I kinda feel that having fingers separate is not necessary, better to have armored mittens- for longsword at least. but I am beginner! Unfortunately I can't find the Red Lobster in a small size, but my normal SPES are doing okay!
Hi, I'm not in love with them. I will wait. It seems that they are pretty good fingered gloves.... but cant compete with Spes Heavy or SG. Yeah some realy good people have them and will use them, but I think these people dont get hit often in the hand in the first place 🤷♂️ On one hand I will wait and see, if they are good or not. For now, there are some problems, on the other hand they have a good design and who nows, maby they will become better and better. The normal Spes are fine, just protec your thumb with plates, there are few mods out there 👍

I would always go for the Spes Heavy XL in combination with an own thumb protection.
