@@theatricalityanddeception Ridder doesn’t stink and neither does Fields, but one of them got traded while the other is said to have no market. That says something
Little by little Ridder is improving it is noticeable. He's got a ways to go but their is 100% talent there to work with for the long haul. If for nothing else numbers wise he has given the Falcons pretty much the exact same numbers Ryan gave them in their 1st 11 games.
He can still be great. I'm happy with Pickett on the Steelers but would've equally been as happy with Ridder. Both guys are gonna be huge for years to come.
@@huddy7659 It's only his second year and it isn't all on him. He's shown good things but he has to minimalize his mistakes. That isn't impossible and I still believe he can do great things

Desmond has looked special at times in the preseason. I just have a real problem with the Tom Brady comparisons like no other QB seeks to be better but Brady.
I LOVE that he acknowledged Brady’s “ rocket arm “. Because he just might have the most underrated arm in league history. Simply because he was so incredibly intelligent. That he never tried to showcase his arm strength. He was more about taking what the defense gave him and living to play for another down. Rather than making extremely risky passes when they’re not necessary. He was a “ game manager “ ( some think this is a negative remark towards QB’s and it’s not at all ) with a “ good enough arm”. Then Randy Miss showed up and Brady’s arm talent was put on full display. Then they said he was a “ field general “. Randy left and we never had another superstar, field stretching WR that lasted more than a year or two. Brandon lafel had very good season one year, Brandin Cooks had a solid year with us, Malcolm Mitchel had a few Flashes during a season or so, certainly can’t over look Troy brown and a handful of others who have contributed in smaller roles like Josh Gordon. ( Who should have had a much better career had the NFL changed the rules on marijuana a very long time ago. Because they would rather guys be juiced up on all sorts of pills for pain, anxiety, sleep etc. than to smoke a plant, extracts, butters and gummies. He knew the cost of using the stinky green good goodness. So it’s solely on him and Some say he threw his career away from an addiction. Not me, I think he chose his mental health, having a normal life and family over football and made the right decision for his future. Even though he could have went down as one of the greats ) anyway Back to the point. But for the most part we had small, undersized slot WR’s, a hand full of great for a couple seasons RB’s none of which stayed around for too long, a couple pass catching RB’s who were essentially more slot WR’s. Most notably James white and then… we had Gronk! Flash forward to what Tom had in Tampa as far WR talent, bring in AB, Gronk etc. and he went from being seen as washed to the should have been been MVP one if not two of his seasons with Tampa as well as winning a Super Bowl ring and Super Bowl MVP. While also breaking record after record after record and leading the league not just in yards and completions but also is air yards traveled and several other things even breaking records his last season. when the team around him just completely fell apart, Mike Evans was off his game, guys were hurt left and right and the run game being the worst in the league. But even with all of this the majority of people NEVER talk about how big and strong his arm was. He just didn’t care about it. He didn’t care about stats. He just cared about winning. Dude three 500+ yards in a SB and lost. Threw less than 200 yards and won two rings and there’s not a solid out there he believes he would rather have the SB passing record over that ring. He would rather throw for 50 yards and hand the ball to a RB than to get all the glory and lose. I know this isn’t a Tom Brady video. It’s just one of the few that someone who knows the QB position as much as anyone else. Actually admits Brady had an absolute ROCKET of an arm! There’s not much about Tom that could be say is underrated after the second SB victory but this is definitely one of those instances
The Falcons have a new head coach, and his old head coach is apparently going to be the OC at Pittsburgh. Ridder is likely to be a backup going forward if he isn't cut.
He was a young QB thats what happens teams give a rookie QB 2 years if he doesn't take them to super bowl. well lets get rid of him because he struggles a little just set him out a few games make watch them interceptions he throwed over and over and when he comes in next day put him in the film room and watch them again. Nick saben. done that with his QBS and they didn't throw a stupid interceptions in the red zone again if they did he set them on the bench he done 3 of his QB'S like that one of them is starting QB for the eagles.
this didnt age well at all. However I will still give Des the benefit of the doubt because Arthur Smith didnt have a QB coach. If he gets traded to Pittsburgh Tomlin will have a QB coach for this dude no matter what ARthur says.
@@GodlyZOfficial it's coming bro. The way they are building the team is how the Broncos built their 2015 SB team. It started about 2 offseasons before the SB win. And Arthur smith is bringing bully ball back to a finesse pass happy league. Just like how nick saban did to college football and now kirby smart is taking the same formula and dominating. The falcons are about to shut up a lot of ppl.
He’s got everything (physically) to be the best of his class, but I’ve always felt that he doesn’t take the best decisions when throwing and he risks the ball too much. He’s an excellent runner but runs more than what he should, which could risk his health and I think that that’s what’s gonna make him the 3rd or 4th QB selected this year, and not the 1st…it’s just my pov
