He’s a monster, Cindy isn’t in the playoff picture without him. That says something. He just needs to be in the room with a smart coach and analyst, and he’ll figure it out.
Ridder, the boat is now yours to Captain!! Us Falcons fans believe in you and know you're ready for the task. I can't wait to see you on the field against the Aints on Sunday!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾
That's basically a high-low concept with the x receiver running a clear out route, which most of the time is called a "post-corner" or a "9" route straight up the field. Then the Z-receiver runs a choice route (seam/shallow crossing route) depending on the coverage being single-high, "Tampa 2", ect. If Ridder couldn't diagram that one I would be really worried for the Falcons, but he did it accurately.
@@Antbeast23 But....for this task to evaluate the QB, Steve is giving them the exact same play for every QB in the draft over the last 5 to 6 years. I could draw that play and still know nothing about it.
Hell be a top 12 QB in 4 Years… his strengths you can’t coach and his weaknesses you can coach. Pre snap, processing and the way he takes care of the football is enough for him to be at worst a game manager. I think he’ll end up being a better version of Alex Smith (Kansas City version)… or a much better version of Ryan T. (Tennessee version). I think those are his floor comps. He’s a better athlete than both of them.
@@FalconsWhiteSox I was hoping that we'd still have Matt Ryan. But this guy fits what Arthur Smith wants to do with our offense, so I knew he'd be a perfect fit.

I think the Ridder pick to the Falcons was a bad landing spot for him and in some ways a bad pick for the team is that the Falcons are going to be bad and picking high again next year and in a loaded QB class are probably going to take a QB high. that leaves Ridder in a tough spot and leaves the Falcons without a player that they could have drafted in round 3 that could have been competing for a starting job on a weak roster.
@@pauliej345 we need pass rushers, and what in the Saints and Titans history with Fontenot and Smith shows any precedence of drafting QBs high? Saints had Brees, but never went after a high draft replacement, Titans had Tannehill and never drafted a high end replacement. The philosophy on both ends matches developing Ridder vs. drafting and reaching for a high pick QB.
@David Willis this was posted 10 months ago prior to season. Also he's a 3rd rd pick and usually unless they have a russel wilson pro bowl season the team usually brings in competition. Now the Falcons may stick with Ridder I actually hope they do becuase I have watched ridder in college and pros and like him. It just seemed like it was a rough spot for him. Why does Steve mariucci still have a job? He’s like the worst analyst and is a horrible person. Not to mention this stupid video format has been repeated at the combine for the last 10 years. Get creative NFL!
He's also one of the fastest QBs in the 40yard dash this combine year.

Why does Ridder look 40 years old
Mooch uses this play every year man. I could probably run the concept by now
It's a commonly used play that's why
I like how he asked him about his daughter to distract him from the play lol
I like this! I like this type of test. I’m even more of a DR fan now than before.
Welcome to Atlanta
I love this guy. I think him and Willis will be the best QBs in the class
What about Kenny 2 gloves

I've become a believer in Ridder. He's definitely being slept on.
He's going to be laid on with no o line.
He’s a great Qb he did so good here in cincinnati for the bearcats now he will do so good in the nfl 🏈💪
I've checked, and Mariucci uses the same play for Goff, Winston, Wentz, etc. All they have to do is watch RUclips to remember the play.
Its also not that difficult of a play to remember tbh
Sometimes the protection or play call can be different

Hoping they trade back, but stay in the 1st round. Pick up another pick and pick up this man.
Lololol enjoy Kenny “Tiny Hands” Pickett!
Favorite qb coming out of this draft class. 💪🏾
Cmon NFL at least get his name right ffs 🤦♂️
He sounds like a confident QB. It’s yo world now Desmond
No o line buddy. Get ready to panic scramble every play.
The NFL comment section is funny reading it cuz of how vastly different takes are
RISE UP!!!
Why he lookin so old doe 😂
He has a kid
Everytime I yell at the TV that a quarterback sucks...I then see this video and remind myself why those guys are in the NFL and I'm not!
SPYDER Y BANANA THO
I wanted Washington to draft him but he's too good for us, I want him to be successful 🙏🏾😔
id love to hear tom brady break down plays
And his name is actually DESMOND RIDDER 😂😂😂😂😂
@SK ten I wasnt making fun of his name you idiot the nfl posted their video TITLED DESMOND RITTER BEFORE EDITING IT 🤷♂️💯
@SK ten nah, the title of the video had it “Ritter” rather than “Ridder.” That’s what he’s talking about.
😂😂😂
I don’t think people realize how smart these guys actually are
Need more of these please!!
If he somehow makes it to the 2nd Round, the Falcons MUST pick him up. Let him sit for a year or two, and let Matty Ice pour into this kid.

How’d you predict the future?

Very intelligent NFL caliber quarterback.
Get it dude. Make Cincy proud.
Let's go Ridder, Falcons rise up!
His career stats are similar to that of Dak Prescott. Someone could have a steal.

I say he goes to Seattle or Washington
