We drove by this yard a few times and noticed it kept getting longer and longer. I decided to stop and knock on the door but no one answered. Turns out after conversation with one neighbor, she just came up missing one day, they didn’t talk to her but noticed the yard was getting out of control. I asked him if she was still in there and no one knew she was in there and the neighbor said he looked in the windows and didn’t see anyone.
While I was mowing, I noticed a man that kept driving back and forth on his bike and he ended up coming up and asking where his neighbor lady was, he hadn’t seen her in a while but heard some noise over here and wanted to make sure no one was breaking in.
I explained that I mow yards for free and just cleaning up the community and he said “Oh you are that guy, I’ve heard about you!”.
All the neighbors were great people but it remains a mystery where this lady disappeared too. Do you check on your neighbors frequently? If not, I’d encourage everyone to check on neighbors, friends and family!
The Neighborhood loved how the yard turned out. I’m going to contact the city to see if they have located this lady or can do a wellness check.
It’s reasons like this we love helping others! Thanks for your support, be sure to subscribe!

Hawk Man was the two words. One neighbor has lived by her for 10 years and says nothing to this lady. A second neighbor rides up on a bike calling her his neighbor. Wow neighbors are not what they use to be. No one lifted a hand to help out by keeping her yard caught up hoping for her return nor did either ask you if there was anything they could do to help you to get the yard back in shape. What has happened to society???? Bless you Sir and your son for All the hard work especially your son, knocking it out of the park today. You are teaching a young man to be a man. I get so disappointed in people not checking on their neighbors and helping out. I live across from an independent senior housing apartment complex where I see so many people get dropped off by their loved ones only to visit them for a few hours on holidays, if that. They are so lonely and need help and companionship. I help by cooking dinners for them or dropping off fresh fruit and veggies, and taking some of them to the Dr.'s. If more people helped out it would be a better world. It just takes time to say hi and get started from there to get to know their needs. Thank you.

One of my neighbor ladies died on her lawn mower. I live quite some distance away and I kept thinking "that mower is sitting in one place running, I wonder why?" He brother and his whole family lived feet from her and never went to check on her, never noticed the mower wasn't moving, nothing. Another neighbor came home later I heard and saw her slumped over the steering wheel and called for help, but it was way too late by then. I bet that mower ran out of gas, and her lazy no good family never even looked out the window. Thats some sad stuff right there.

The guy was on disability and one day his daughter's boyfriend came over and entered and saw him sitting on his couch, unresponsive. He knocked on our door, freaked out thinking he might be dead. My ex and I went and checked on him, and he was cold with no pulse. Called 911 and paramedics and cops came and verified he had died. We had just seen him the night before. He seemed a little out of it then, but he was usually pretty heavily medicated so we really didn't think too much of it at the time. Then the next day........ It was sad. the dude was a nice guy. I think he was 57. Not fun finding him that way, for sure. Just glad we found him when we did.

Spring 2017 I anonymously reported a neighbor for an overgrown yard, but in the comments I put "He might have died in there, because flyers are piled up near his door, too".
Sure enough, two days later the street was filled with police cars and detective SUVs. The house was all opened up with police tape across the driveway. You could smell death a block away. His next door neighbor hadn't seen him for about six months when visitors had been at the house when his roommate died. The neighbor just thought they had moved him to a nursing home or something.
The next door neighbor and I were both new to the neighborhood at that time.
