The Breakers in PB is top-of-the-line of course. You pay for the location, the elegant Circle Room & of course a wide selection of excellent dishes. Not the best overall selection but leaning on the high-end Caviar, Stone Crabs, Lamb Chops & Lobster offerings. Desserts looked outstanding! Tim, I've never seen you eat so many desserts!
Wow! That all looked scrumptious. I am not a fan of lobster or caviar, but you made it all look so good. The desserts were amazing. I am really enjoying your videos. You really describe the food well.

It always amazes me that people will go to a classy restaurant, appreciate the beautiful surroundings and upscale food, but dress like they’re going to McDonald’s. I guess I’m from a different generation…..
@@prairiedoggy1 T-shirts are acceptable everywhere these days. Indeed, the days from a different generation 99% of the men were clean shaven. And it didn’t matter if they were waiters or dish washers or accountants or lawyers, because they all looked good & professional without the beard and mustache on their face!!!! Unfortunately, it has been a trend for men to not shave and grow a beard and mustache for more than a decade. This bad trend doesn’t seem to be dying anytime soon unfortunately!!!! It’s great that Tim is always clean shaven, and looks good. Tons of people have made comments that he is polite and address the employees by using their names. Men do wear a suit to a funeral even though they won’t shave off their beard and mustache.

The Breakers is a lovely place but given my choice I’ll pick the Nordic each time. Their lobsters and stuffies can’t be beat!
I love the breakers! It’s soooo dreamy there during Christmas-haha I’m Jewish and don’t even celebrate Christmas, but it’s still so nice going there! The other restaurants are also very nice. Very pricey for sure, but for a special occasion it’s a nice splurge 🥰

i haven't been to a buffet in years... there was a very nice one in the casino near my house, but it shut down permanently after being closed for 2 years due to, you know what...there's still a nice Chinese buffet in my city but it's about a 40 minute drive away...so i guess I'll go to buffets vicariously through your videos

no need to apologize for the "banging" bang bang shrimp joke! we are all here for that great Tim Lee humor (was cracking up when you put that peanut butter moose "out of it's misery")😄 also, this may be an odd thing to point out but when asking for a fatty piece of prime rib I wonder if the carver might confuse "fatty" with cutting it thicker. The fattier piece may very well have been the one that was cut off but it might help to say "a piece that has more fat on it". I point this out because I too love the fattier bits lol. as a loner who has no friends im asking since you went alone did people look at you like you were some kind of social reject for being alone in a fancy restaurant? i always want to go to fancy places alone but i feel that everyone would stare at me and view me as the social outcast that i am, did you feel this at all?

This is the most beautiful Hotel! The ambience and food choices are to die for. It's the desserts that you can't walk away. The Servers and Staff are very friendly especially at this High end Hotel... Great job with picking shrimps and lamb with caviar!!
Hi Fay, yeah, it's the desserts that get you.. you're pretty full by the end, but you just can't help getting a few extra pieces.. always my trouble 😉

I think it's so much better when a buffet has staff to serve at each station. It stops people who think a buffet is an excuse for acting like a pig and either making a huge mess of the food...or taking 50 pieces of 1 item in 1 visit to the buffet. If everyone acted normally and had some consideration for other diners then everyone would get more than enough of what they want to eat.
And great job Tim...as always! Ps...you gotta get over to Macau and review the casino buffets there! Don't think any of the bigger reviewers like Wiens or Chen have done them yet!
You have a great idea. Macau is just like Las Vegas with many beautiful casinos, and even normal things that are usually not legal in some countries.

It's August 13th, 2024, just about 2 years after this video was posted. I called the restaurant today to make reservations and the price changed to $195.00 per person plus 7% tax and 22% gratuity is automatically added to the total. Total comes to $251.55 per person. My Google search says that restaurants may charge a service charge or automatic gratuity to cover the cost of service and ensure that their staff is paid fairly. These charges can range from 10% to 22% of the total bill and are often mandatory.
