I was a UHOP member for many years. God has truly open my eyes. I have five sisters and two are still faithful members. I also have several cousins that are members until the day they die. My aunts were members until the day they died. My one aunt would tear off a piece of the Daddy Grace Magazine and eat it if her throat was sore or if she wasn't feeling well. There were a lot of things that I didn't understand. I will keep praying for my sisters that their hearts and eyes will be open.

Hearing them change the words of songs is probably the most disturbing part. I heard them sing "Daddy,You're The Center Of My Joy,Daddy is Love,Daddy Will,and even saying Daddy in The Blood Will Never Lose It's Power". A close second is the way members start shouting at the drop of a hat. This is most definitely a cult.

WOW !!!!! They all sound brainwashed like I did when I was a member of the United House Of Prayer for ALL people..... I pray for a spiritual eye opener before it is too late for the rest of my family who still attend this church but for me I am so glad that I got out when I did..... I was truly messed up and it took much prayer and fasting to GOD to get my mind deprogrammed and clear enough to seek JESUS who is worthy of ALL praises not " DADDY".......

This just in: The Bishop just go $68,000.00 last weekend in Los Angeles. 34 people joined a program called sign me up or the Daddy's Club! This club want you to pay a minimum of $2,000.00 so Daddy can call your name in service. I hope all the members get the blessing they "PAID" for, I'm old school I still PRAY for mine.
God doesn't need money. And just to hear your name in a service? These people are sheep
I have attended baptist pastors anniversary services where church groups have $100,000 each and there was a treasure chest for individual members to place “ cards” of appreciation and I know from the ministry roll call he walked away with a million dollars in cash and gifts …. When one has been educated you realize people love being apart of something , UHOP is no different that any other formal religion and we mush take into consideration , two men like these where one is newly churched and is a minister or sorts himself is always jealous at the church that is prosperous in ways his is not and the UHOP has members from birth to 100 years old that are fully committed financially ans they participate and for these blessings I say these two men are kinda jealous , we all fall short of thr glory if God , do not pick apart someone’s journey while there hard work will earn them the entrance into heave while you watch from outside the gates ..!!!
how about " YOU " join another place of worship. You can't can you? You will always think that many people are not understanding of what goes on in the UHOP but they understand how contradictory the things you say and do concerning GOD's word. You are always on the offensive and only say what you have been programmed to say. It took me several months to be cleansed of the CULT teaching that was programmed in me from the UHOP and today I can truly say that my mind is free !!! THANK YOU JESUS

It's actually not sad. If you really view that particular discussion with an open mind it's clear to understand that the success of the "spiritual worship" of the service is based on the thousands of musicians that have given their uncompensated time the UHOP. Notice when you search the UHOP on RUclips only band videos come up and nothing involving any of "Daddies' " sermons. Shouldn't their words be available to ALL PEOPLE no matter the media platform i.e. internet, social media.

It's interesting that hop members are saying read your bible and you'll understand why we do what we do. @5marionaa gave several scriptures that have absolutely no ties to the theory of Daddy and the church building named the House of Prayer. I've read those scriptures several times and I have no clue how/why they are being applied in that church.

There is a very clear and precise indication that when man, who is finite, is lifted up to or above Jesus Christ (who is infinite), then this is demonic and this practice is a cult. Acts 4:12, "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." People, the bible talks about the blind leading the blind.. People of the house of prayer really do worship their leader, sweet daddy bailey, i seen it with my own eyes. The problem is that the members of the house of prayer been there their entire lives, which makes them ignorant to the truth. You must understand that all have fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) including daddy bailey. Daddy bailey is not omnipotent, and last i checked, he didnt die on the cross for the sins of the world, nor was he risen back to life 3 days later.. I rebuke daddy bailey.. I was a HOP member for years until my eyes were open. My grandmother and aunts were members until they died. My aunt would tear off a piece of the Grace Magazine and eat it if her throat was sore or if she was having stomach problems. I am so thankful that God has opened my eyes. I attend another church now who preaches Jesus Christ.

The part in the book about slaves, DO NOT have anything to do with black people. Our ancestors was in slaved. If they were to honor the slave master, then why God sent Moses to free the slaves. Why not let them be slaves. So many people don't understand the bible that's why so many people are lost or confused. And we Judge all the time, but we supposed to do it with righteousness.
I atteneded the house of prayer from 1998-2001.ididny understand the whole daddy concept. So years after i left the house of prayer. I had a vision with the late bishop sc madison. In this vision i asked him what daddy meant. His response was" God the FAther forbreakfast, lunch, and dinner" as some may get caught up in the man and worship the man. Even though i dont attend there anymore, i honor bishop sc madison as atrueman of God.

Just an FYI the mountain in the scripture literally referred to a mountain the geographical land mass. It's not talking about the area with the empty chair that has Daddy's spirit sitting there. Do the UHOP members actually believe that there is a phantom spirit that occupies that space you call a mountain in all of the church buildings when the Bishop is not there?

Praise God and welcome back Everyone. SO Glad for this open forum. I saw Overdose reply last night and couldn't wait to return, but my work schedule is hectic. Now I see we are all back together. Yes God is in control. Very eloquently stated on all fronts. Overdose, I want to thank you for thoughts. Its highly respected , If I have any concern about your response it would be that "these men seem to target the house of prayer solely" .

Of course they enjoy giving because they are taught that by giving money/time to the UHOP they are pleasing GOD even when they don't want to. That's when the "sacrifice" word is thrown out. Read this statement carefully: "You don't have to give money in the UHOP, however when trouble knocks on your door you're going to need works in order for GOD to find you worthy of a blessing." It's a contradiction. I've personally heard this said in the UHOP a few times.
The fact that you acknowledged that this is a common occurrence with many of the congregants is really admirable of you @MsMy215. The question is can this practice be corrected and if so how?
Probably not. People get stuck in their ways and even when they realize they are wrong, pride will not allow them to change. It's sad actually.
SMH at the world we been going strong for 90 plus years, If the UHOP wasn't right then this thing would have been torn down. I thank God to be a member of the sweet HOP in the words of Daddy McCollough "See the world go down and the HOP rise"

All churches have a throne or a big chair that sits higher than the floor. And the person that sits in that chair is the same person all the time until they leave. Pastors Bishops overseers Pope's etc.
And they all collect money. And they all get acknowledged as that leadership.
House of prayer just doesn't hide the fact that they appreciate and acknowledge their leadership.

Daddy Grace, Daddy McCollough, and Daddy Madison were all men who did not want the position of Bishop. For the record, Grace hair was set on fire, McCollough nor Madison didn't want the job, but they were chosen, by the people and elected by God. My brother my friend, You see we in the House Of Prayer serve a true and living God. We always say, "Lord, we thank thee and we Praise thee." We all serve God in a different, way, but God is God. No matter how you feel, we serve a Good God.
It's only one way to serve God..
You say what you want, but be mindful. You too have to give an account. All you can do is what God has for you to do. Do not look down in everyone for someone(s).

@MsMy215 with respect, what you're saying is a contradiction. I completely understand the scriptures you've used to support your arguments. I can use scripture to support stoning a disobedient child to death. I think what is being said is that the UHOP's application of scripture seems to be based upon the doctrine versus the doctrine being supported by scripture without the extras. The UHOP does not teach Acts 4:12 that I'm certain of, and that should be a red flag to any believer.

@MsMy215 I'm not sure if your questions are directed at me. I don't think I implied anything about you specifically worshiping satan. My last comment was directed at the segment in the video when they were discussing how religions fill a need/void in the communities which often makes the members disregard or overlook doctrines that may be egregious or erroneous. I thought they made a valid point that's all.

Andrew, we can't just stop worrying about who Daddy is because it's the Spirit within the man we're referring to. Yes, we know nothing's possible without Jesus (which is why he's our Chief Cornerstone), but if the people following Moses would not have learned who he truly was, they would have been lost. Remember, they decided at one time they no longer wanted to hear Moses, but when the voice of God shook the earth, they changed their minds! The man also plays an important role when he's chosen!
Religion is a tricky subject, your story on the UHOP, is in line to what I was thinking, living in Harlem I was feeling the same way about your story. One thing I can say them sisters and brothers sure know how to cook some soul food. My people have a lot to learn, there is only one savior and that is Jesus Christ not “sweet Daddy” Amen lights

It still says AN house of prayer there's a difference when you change it to read THE. Of course that only matters if you're using the scripture as written.
Well it's not Daddy Bailey that we worship it's the spirit of god that comes through him. We have a bishop because God only uses one man to lead his kingdom. Samuel was God's only prophet when he anointed Saul to be king. Just like Moses was the only prophet when he was leading the Israelites.
I appreciate what you're saying, but please answer a question for me: How come it had not been recorded or commanded that Saul, or David for that matter, was required to 'worship' God THROUGH the prophet as it is done in the UHOP towards the bishops? And also, doesn't the word of God clearly state that there is only ONE mediator between God and men, the man Jesus Christ? (1 Tim 2:5)
Didn't Jesus clearly state that we are to "call no man your father upon the earth: for there is one Father, which is in heaven."?

There is no where in Scripture wherein it is stated that we were to thrown money at any of the 5fold ministers or church officers like a PROSTITUTE. No where in the bible was it approved that any minister or child of GOD was to be set in the EKKLESIA or the TENT OF MEETING or the TEMPLE on a THRONE! +Flip Tonez Hello, Flip. I understand where you're coming from, I used to repeat these same words you have said here, because I was being taught the same things. It was when I began to dig deeper and truly read my bible, that I realized that I was not being taught about Jesus Christ in the UHOP, which is highly problematic since He is the only way to salvation. What they neglect to share with members is that C. M. Grace still considered himself Catholic after having started the uhop; which explains the undeniable similarities linking the uhop and Catholicism. Did you know the C.M. Grace even had a picture of himself in his middle age, that is nearly a carbon copy of a picture the Catholics still use portraying the Virgin Mary'? In these pictures, they both have a halo around their heads, and a glowing heart about their chests, with one hand lifted, the other, across their chests. Not merely coincidental. Also, did you know that the uhop is not Christian? I saw Bishop Madison saying this from the platform in Dallas, TX, that uhop members are not Christians. But I digress. There are many unsettled holes in the uhop doctrine when it comes to God's Word, and was easily perpetuated in their beginning, due to lack of education. Simply put; many of the original members could not read and understand the bible well enough to realize the inconsistencies they were being taught. However, I know the ENTIRE bible is neither read not taught in the uhop; only scripture fragments (never a full chapter) that, on the surface, seem to reinforce erroneous teaching. My question to you: have you yet considered why they always seem to maximize the accomplishments of the bishop/s, and minimize Jesus Christ, even though the holy ghost has never competed against His glory, nor has the holy ghost ever pointed anyone AWAY from the name of Jesus? Why isn't the Blood of Jesus being preached in the uhop when the bible clearly states we must be washed in the Blood? Doesn't Hebrews Ch. 1 (please read more than one scripture there) speak of how God the Father in sundry times spake through the prophets, but now speaks through HIS Son, and His Son being Jesus Christ? Why is 1 Tim 2:5 never preached in the uhop? Or what of the fact that according to the word of God, the current bishop (Mr. Bailey) does not fit the biblical requirements for a bishop? Is he not a brawler, a striker, being known to physically hit grown men? And much less a Godly prophet being his connection to Masonry, which was founded by a man of the occult, believing Lucifer (Satan) to be the 'light source' they seek? These are just a few questions you must ask yourself and be unafraid to seek answers to. God does not require you, me or anyone one else to work for their salvation. In fact, we couldn't if we tried. He requires everything to come through his Son, Jesus Christ, who is the only way into His kingdom. What? Should we believe that God the father watched HIS only begotten Son be falsely accused, beaten bloody beyond recognition, covered with the sins of the world, DIE on the cross of Calvary, & rise again, with the scars on His body, only to 'revise' His own plan for salvation in these last days? To trust another man and believe that man is the key to our salvation is an uninformed attempt to invalidate the Cross of Jesus Christ. Please take no one's word but God's word and do your research. Research the uhop and how the doctrine keeps evolving. Learn about the aged women who were young maids during bishop Grace's day, who were forced to know him intimately and who continue to carry those scars till this very day. They are still around, your older counsel men knows if them, too. Many of these same men were sitting in Grace's patronage when another young maid, you know her as St. Lady Dee Madison, came to get a maid, because 'Daddy doesn't like to be alone in his room'. Many turned their heads and still do. Others will acknowledge it's truth, but then say those girls were blessed because the 'man of God' had need of them. But don't take my word for it. Pray; read your bible, not just those go-to verses I.e. Isaiah 56:7 and do your own deep research. You will find solid, proven, irrefutable evidence. One last thought: did you realize that much of the real estate you pay towards with your g-class is the personal names of either C.M. Bailey or Delores Madison, but not in the name of the UHOPFAP organization? That's public record.

Also if the tithes pay for all of those amenities you listed what does the g-class and Bishop's club money pay for? I hope my questions are not offensive. I've visited the UHOP a few times and I have been asked to join by close friends that are members but as an on-looker the emphasis on money obligations is overwhelming. You said the bishop gets the free will offering. However for NT covenant believers my question is what other type of offering is there? 2 Corinthians 9:7
Unfortunately you as interviewer and your guest seem to come with a negative, prejudged opinions to start with as you all decided to attend service. I know that you all do not know the Word of God the way you think you do. God is not a perspective, but He is a matter of fact. Go go back and study. You will find that the UHOPFAP is through the entire Bible, not just the old testament Mr.Guest. God has not changed since day one according to His Word (Mal.3:6) The Word of God has His ways in it, however man has created their opinions to fit them. Continue to pray and fast, ask the Almighty to give you more understanding about His entire Word. Do not rely on what you learned as a child or in school, but strictly through God's understanding. Solomon clearly said to lean not to our own understanding.
I'm not sure if you meant to @minava2290 but you just basically said "my church is better than yours so leave ours alone and worry about the other ones with the boring preachers." You certainly gave a great first impression of your FAITH. Your sarcasm is very familiar to those of us on the outside. It gives validity to what people observe of your practices.
In the marches that is what we call 'love gift' because the bishop does not get a salary, he gets what we give him... 1 dollar at a time. "Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces." (Matthew 7:6). just pray for them
Welcome Overdose, I'm so glad to see another admitted active member with an open mind up here. I too appreciate your take on the conversations that has been going on, your mind set is very important to many who are still in the HOP. My question to you is this, for the many members that struggle with the actual findings these men have voiced on this video. How can the existing struggling members receive understanding in there search for a closer walk with God?

G class and tithes have separate accounts for the purpose of keeping track of both. You get gifts for your gclass works but tithes are considered an obligation while gclass is an optional program to help with the "upbuilding of the churches"
Pardon me if I implied that the tithe goes to the Bishop for his personal discretion. At the same time please be open minded, the Bishop has the ultimate decision how your tithe is spent. If Bishop's club and tithes are spent for the same general purposes should I assume that the members pay a double tithe. According to your logic the tithe is mandatory or a necessity. 2 Corinthians 9:7 clearly teaches not to give of necessity or under compulsion.
@112kinga as far as needy/community/homeless; each house has their own way of doing "outreach" so i'm not sure how to answer that question. We, at our congregation, have benevolence committee, youth outreach committee, clothing and food closet... etc. Soo... does that help you?

I would like to share a little with you about the uhop. I was born & raised to go for service nightly but always right b4 a sermon they will read a special letter from the bishop stating,the members must do. But the Bible teaches that we must be subject to the higher Power, which mean Jesus Christ alone.. So in the uhop the bishop use some scriptures to make it sound good as long everybody still fill his agenda.
They talk about the people praising the "daddy" but thats no different than them praising a guy who never existed at all!!! 6 on one hand, half a dozen on the other...

I was once a preacher within the UHOP. These men are only telling about what they witnessed as they heard what what said at a Memorial Day service.
I have seen and witness things in my life that others wouldn't believe. I have been healed off of the very same products that you talk about. My daughter was a still born at birth, but it wasn't until I myself, touched her head with Blessed olive oil that she began to cry after not breathing for 3 minutes. The God I serve is a good God. Now, everyone wants to talk like we don't believe in Jesus. I don't know about you my friend, but tell me one time that you have seen Jesus face-to-face.

Going further please share your thoughts on why things that have gone too far are not being corrected.
Do you know who Daddy is? Daddy is not the flesh. Daddy is the Spirit of Christ that dwells in that Man. If I catch you before you fall off a cliff am I not your savior? If I save you from a burning building am I not your savior? Daddy's preaching and teachings through the years have Saved me from certain death. They have established my place in The Almighty God, he introduced me to Jesus and God. When Our Precious Jesus gave up the mantle on that cross, his work was finished. He needed a man to carry on. There was Daddy Peter, Daddy Paul-- the major prophets throughout and down the line. Sweet Daddy Grace. House of Prayer literature is very accessible it just wasn't available to non believers.

My last statement was a typo. I can't clear it up at this point. However, what I was saying is that Jesus wanted everyone to be included in salvation and grace not just the jews. So this separation of the UHOP from the "church world" as you say is false. Therefore, according to you those in the UHOP who teach that or have taught it in the past are the very ones that Jesus spoke against.

When/if the argument is disputed with scripture the rebuttal typically is something along the lines of "well I know why I do what I do and everyone else may not understand but it's a self journey." In my humble opinion it becomes difficult to spread the good news when it is polluted beyond recognition unless one is taught the system from birth. At any rate thank you for your patience.

So I show my gratitude and honor to that person. But my worship and heart lifts high to god. Because without god none of that would have been possible. In my life his dB constantly reminds me of what is in scripture to live holy and righteous. There has never been a day in my life that I would think of anyone more highly than Jesus. As any good leader, they have to do what’s best for the people. Regardless of what anyone says. That is what I believe he is here as the bishop of the hop.
I know the truth. I have seen so many leave just as you have. I have witnessed how the Grace of God has left them and their burdens became harder for them. I have also witnessed how many asked for things and God made them go through something to get wisdom,knowledge, and understanding. If you were a HOP member and have the Holy Ghost you wouldn't be concerned about what others are doing & you would know for yourself that Daddy is real. You would understand that the HOP is a battlefield and that you must fight what is in you. If you have conflict with what you have seen then the conflict is not with others but what you believe. I can not turn from the HOP because God said it in His Word coming from Isaiah 56:6-7. Even Jesus backed that up in Mathew 21:13. If others are misled it is up to us to except the truth. To defragment the truth from the lies. To grow knowing that if the scripture tells us the truth and we a bound to no other church and except the HOP way, to be born again. To let God use you. Remember judge not, that ye be not judged. Mathew7:1. Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. John7:24
I left just like others have left due to being very confused and got tired of saying " The world just don't understand " and really it was my teachings from childhood that had me hostage..... I learned man things from the UHOP that I use in my ministry to this day and I thank the church for stern discipline in which it is what made me who I am today but the worship is not right and the name of JESUS has been moved to the back burner to make way for your daddy bishop and this is just not right and GOD is surely not pleased with this type of behavior.... the uhop practices has been hid for a long time and now due to the internet it is being exposed and real questions can not be answered.... I am sadden that I still have love ones that are still members and really refuse to face what is true but believe that just being a member of the uhop will get them to heaven...... I just wanted to reply, not to try to convince, but, to basically say what I and other UHOP members believe, I apologize for causing any controversy. I got a little excited while watching the video.
I'm a believer, very open minded to their opinions and their take on our Organization. However, it was supposed to be an comparison to "Orthodox" beliefs and practices.
