I have family that are STILL members. when I saw Sister Boulware put out of her apartment, my feelings were SO hurt. The bishop bailey also told the house of prayers' national evangelist Belton-who asked the billionaire bishop for some help for the prostate cancer that he suffered from- that he should have saved money for the prostate cancer surgery that he needed, because he knew this day was coming... Boulware was the bus driver for a lonnnng time, I left 17 years ago. The Founder (grace) was a freed slave that spent many years traveling through Muslims countries. that's where the HOP gets, the "get on your knees and say da da da da da da da da da da until your mouth is foaming and then jump up shouting and then You're saved" 😐
a lot of the getting on your knee's thing came from Islam the different Islamic countries that he spents years in shortly after he was freed... I learned, and I am glad that my children are totally conscious.

As a former HOP member I found this vlog humorous. As far as the women, 90% of them are pass arounds. Everybody sleeping with everybody. I always chose to date women outside the HOP. As far as the members in general, most are uneducated, brainwashed, underdeveloped people that are getting exploited. They can’t think for themselves and defy any form of logic. It’s really sad. Leaving was the best decision I ever made and looking back I can’t believe how brainwashed I was.

Shit man i gotta leave too. I’m from San Francisco UHOP and it’s deep in my family. My uncles, aunts and my mom went to UHOP everyday when they were kids and a bunch of them have left because UHOP hasn’t given back for all of their works. SF’s UHOP doesn’t have apartments for members because they’re ‘too expensive’ but when our pastor moved to San Francisco the House of Prayer bought his house but didn’t give any form of housing to the members.
There’s so much bad in UHOP but theres good in it too, like the Bands, learning music by ear, the food+ it’s a part of our culture. I can’t go to a regular church and find family there, I find it in the House of Prayer

The incident he spoke about with the eviction of that elderly lady a lady who was a “Pillar of the Church” made me finally leave also. I WAS DONE! And the Community outreach was almost non-existent. Like you said, Richmond’s pastor seemed to be the only one doing that. I agree with a lot of what you are saying…my dreadlock brother…

Sir with the dreads, I am currently a member of the UHOP and I can’t even lie - I agree with 80% of what you’re saying BUT ☝🏾I wholeheartedly DISagree that the UHOP is up there with Scientology - that’s a bit of a stretch 😐...... I find that when you keep God’s word first and put the people and what they’re doing out of your head then you’ll realize that God’s house is an House of Prayer For All People. Remember, Satan was in heaven before he got kicked out. So if the devil was once in heaven of course the devil will be present through different people in God’s house on earth 🤷🏾♀️

My grandmother was part of her church for over 45 years. We owned our house but as my grandmother got older and could not work our church did not hesitate to fund a new roof for her house. They did not hesitate to help with mortgages or utilities when it was necessary. Not saying that it went on for a year, but they were there for us financially. Not because they owed us anything but because they loved us. We are family.
I had a friend that mom passed she was a member they charged the family to have the funeral .
I grew up in the Christian Church if you not raised up the house of prayer then you not going to join this organization I have no idea what this pastor be up there talking about like I care I be ready to go down stairs and eat smh

If you do the knowledge, this guy is MAJOR HURT because the UHOP women paid him no mind. Ironically, he’s attempted to trash the faith, the members and its leaders, but the underlying issue is he felt he wasn’t fully embraced or accepted. You can see he really enjoyed his time being a member of the UHOP because he couldn’t stop going on about the good ole days when he was on the shout band in Richmond. Unfortunately, his foolish pride, lusting after the flesh and being rejected by the women in the UHOP led him astray. Had zero to due with the old lady who supposedly got kicked out of her apartment for no good reason. Anyway, may his soul be satisfied. Much respect to the brother wearing the cap. He listened and tried to process what the dred was saying but wasn’t judgmental to, nor disrespectful of the UHOP.

I’m from Baltimore and I grew up in a church very similar and they also call the bishop daddy and I mean everyone men and women. He also had outside relationships and his daughter married her “godfather “

I have to say this is one of the best analysis I've seen of the United House of Prayer. I love the Church, love the music, love the food but with different Bishops come different causes. I'd hate to say it but when Daddy Bailey stepped on the scene 🤑 became the motive. Also after seeing how Daddy Madison honored Jesus for years Daddy Bailey seems very Narcissistic he knows who really has the power but he wants them to believe he's the power source. It's sad but hey I don't judge just an honest opinion

dude got the daddy grace/daddy mccullough thing backwards. grace was the showman. mccullough was actually the spiritual one. as time went on, he began to realize that his message of holiness was largely falling on deaf ears. mccullough was frugal with house of prayer money. the buildings built during the madison era were paid for with grace and mccullough era money.
