I’m German and there are people who were 35 when we all started Uni together, and we never had a problem with the age gap but rather just became good friends, so don’t worry about it We Europeans live our lives no matter the age, just gotta keep your young mind 😉

Btw i'm from Venice and actually the food is bad because the city is full of tourist traps. Local people knows where food is actually good, you just gotta look closely :))

the food in venice is incredible!! i’m so sad you missed out on all the delicious seafood, risotto, and beautiful produce from mercati di rialto! the brick oven pizza thing is a good example of why researching before you travel is so important - pretty much every travel article about venice will mention not to order pizza. all of those little bites on slices of bread are called cichetti, almost like a venetian version of spanish tapas. i’m sorry the seagull got yours😢

True about the food in Venice. I ordered take out pasta from a shop assuming it was homemade. The cook went into the back and 5 minutes later i heard the ding of a microwave. It was good. But still, I have a feeling it was a frozen dinner. It was one of those restaurants that have all the pictures of pasta dishes outside.

I was lucky enough to live/work there from March- late May during the zona rossa, when it was quiet enough to hear a pin drop. The most magical place in the whole world and Gam Gam really was the most enjoyable food there
