I have two wrap dresses for summer, both of which I love because of how well they fit and flatter. BUT, both of them cross over in front much too low for my liking. The only solution I have is to use a tiny safety pin and, with great difficulty, try to pin it a bit higher up from the inside so it doesn't show. Is there an easier way that you can show? Thank you.
I took the quiz and chose A. But I’m very short waisted and can have trouble with that. The model is also depicted as heavy which I’m not. So I hope I chose correctly
My hack to keep from getting makeup on clothes that I am pulling over my head is to put a shower cap over my face first. You can use a silk shower cap or you can do what I do which is to always keep a clear plastic hotel hospitality shower cap in my dressing room for just this purpose. They are very small, so I also have one tucked into my purse cosmetic bag to use when I am shopping and trying on clothes.
Your instructions on tucking shirts was fabulous! I am a pear shaped fuller figure woman and I definitely look better when I tuck in my tops to give the illusion of a waistline. However, I always struggle with how to do it so it doesn't look crumpled or frumpy or adding MORE bulk to my waist. These ideas will take some practice for me, but I LOVE them! Thank you!
I'm skinny, but I sometimes have a pot tummy. Tucking can be done on one side, and still be effective. It's really just to define a waist/hip point to create a better silhouette. Play around with it. 😊
I am very skinny but I have a bulging tummy due to an illness I have, but what I find most helpful is wearing a size bigger than my normal size and a high waist pants or skirts and that hides my stomach almost completely.
I agree, these skinny people can do it and it looks good but no one can tell me it looks good on a rolly poly tummy, they can say half tuck or side tuck but still if a roll of fat tummy is exploit looks terrible and not for me
I love all the tucking ideas. I’m 5ft 4 and clothes don’t fit well at all. This is great. I feel I can now experiment and hopefully feel confident again .
Thank you Diana! I adore you style - where can I find the white silk blouse as shown with the white wide legged pants? You look truly amazing!!! Thank you again - your advice is truly appreciated.
Watching this video for the first time and was amazed how you made one necklace out of two allowing the creation of two lengths. While I plan to try this, the demonstration was rather quick so it would be great to see a slower version. Thank you so much for all of the clever and useful content. Your style and message are so simple and elegant. You are a joy to watch.
Excellent tips! It's also so important to have a piece of jewellery to give subtle interest to the outfit and draw attention to the face. Pearl jewellery is flattering to all skin types and ages.
using a setting spray on your makeup itself will also prevent make up from getting on your clothes (and keep your make up in place all day long ;) ) I prefer ELF or JOAH (both drugstore brands) but there are many out there at different price points! Love all the tips, Thanks!
Fantastic tips! Thanks ❤️ Speaking about avoiding make-up on your clothes,, my mother always used a scarf to cover her head and face, held the ends in her mouth, as she pulled the top over her face. No problems at all 😍
Serious game changer Ms Goss! :-) Thank you for sharing these wonderful hacks. I'm 5ft 10" and I have bigger arms. The fold under will make a huge difference for me.
This was very useful. I'm just about 5ft so nearly all tops are too long and make me look out of proportion (as in your first outfit). I have spent a lot of money having things shortened so seeing different tucking techniques is great. Thank you x
These are such helpful doable tips! I especially like the French tuck. The sleeve variations are also most helpful. Thank you for sharing these simple hacks!
Thank you. Some great ideas, and I already use several. Some women do not buy their clothes large enough, especially us smaller waisted “curvy” girls. I’ve rarely found a pair of trousers that fit well without having to alter them. Far too many here in the southern USA wear ill-fitting jeans/trousers that are too tight in the inseam area. 😳🤦🏼♀️😱 I’ll admit, it’s one of the reasons I mostly wear dresses or skirts.
Altered clothes to your body will always wear better and will look great. No one needs a million pair of slacks or jeans, just well fitting ones. One will always feel better in it and you will wear it so many times, that the cost of the alterations will be justified.
Wow. I can’t believe you gave so much detail. Tuck in the button side?! Thank you. Sometimes it’s so hard to follow the videos. The detail given really matters. Thank you!!
The French tuck has been a game changer for me. It’s been around for awhile but seems to be more popular this year. I’m going to Europe next week so it will be interesting to see if they are still doing it there. 🇫🇷 🇩🇪🇨🇭
Thank you…Im love this & i am so glad you are emphasising the petite figure, it is fabulous for us petites as 95% of all clothing is now for the bigger females.
I used the elastic around the button of my pants when I was pregnant. I got to wear my regular pants a little longer. The hairspray hack is great, I will have to try it.
BRAVO! Great video. Some tricks were known to me, but I never saw them so well explained and exemplified. The hair spray trick totally a game changer. You see I’m obsessed with white, beiges and pastel colors. 😊❤
I really liked the trick with the striped shirt and the last tuck you did, still showing the cuffs I absolutely loved. Will try it out this week end going into munich !
Learned so many new hacks Diana! Thank you so much for sharing. The hairspray to prevent makeup stains is probably what I was very surprised to learn. I will definitely incorporate this hack immediately.
I am a short person, five 1 1/2, and I’m not thin. I have learned to be less self-conscious of my abdomen, especially the lower part. Not everyone can have a flat tummy. But to wear oversized clothes to hide it is not better as you have pointed out, it is better to elongate the legs instead of the torso. I also see that you put off-white with white. Which gives us all courage because not all colors are the exact same shade, and thankfully monochromatic does not have to match, and its interest, but thankfully, we see influencers teaching us how to put those different colors together. Tailoring every piece that is not exactly right is not possible, thank you for helping us all with simple hacks work on proper Balance in the over up all outfit, sleeve links things too big things too long. I thank you very much and enjoy all your effort.
I have taken your quiz and have downloaded your tutorials, but not have yet been able to delve into it, but I think it’s wonderful to be able to take it in our phone when we are shopping. I encourage everyone to take the test. It was very interesting and helpful. It is Comforting to have that reference in your pocket
You have beautiful anatomy. I just stumbled upon your channel! LOVE it. Elegance never goes out of style. This channel supports the « Goddess » in all women. And, your channel élevâtes this above other channels. Magic off the runway…
I tuck in all tops, or wear “cropped” ones that just cover a high waistband (this works because I’m short and short-waisted). I hate seeing so many women my age, 63, covering up and looking block-like in those huge, long, shirts, they just ruin their proportions.
Thank you soooo much for taking the time to show this, you have just shown me hacks that will enable me to wear some outfits for my Europe holiday that I didn’t think looked right, and the make up hake means I can also wear white. Thank you again ❤
The tucks were really helpful! The half tuck was new to me. Your videos are very helpful. Could you say where the silk striped came from? I’m guessing Lily Silk? I am petite and have recently lost weight, working on getting my look to be more put-together.Thank you.
Hi Diana i teally enjoyed your video about basics & accessories…how to fix i have nothing to wear. can you put together a video about packing in a carry on bag for a 2week trip to Italy in fall. thx Diane Connecticut/USA
Hi Diana, Can you please advise where you purchased the cream skirt and top that you were wearing when explaining how to reduce the waistband on the skirt?
Very helpful video, Diana. Thank you. My most current shape is an apple after gaining quite a bit of weight over the last decade. Also, I live at the beach so dress very casually trying to deal with extreme heat most of the time. However, I have an upcoming trip to France and Italy and I have been struggling with how to wear pants and tops in a cooler climate and dressier, more sophisticated location. I have been collecting the clothing items needed and believe these hacks will help me achieve the look I want with them! Thank you so much!

The hairspray tip* 😮 Genius, Diana!
I have two wrap dresses for summer, both of which I love because of how well they fit and flatter. BUT, both of them cross over in front much too low for my liking. Do it when it's off your body.
5. Ft..
It helps enormously to be slender and elegant to start with!
Yes, the key to styling is to be thin!...that's it nothing else you can wear a bin bag and look stylish if you're slim....unfortunately I'm not!
@@bronagh1579 I was thinking the same thing-need to look for tips for heavier gals like me
Yup. These tips are good, but the best effect can only be achieved if the body is already tall, slender, and well-proportioned. Sigh.
Proper stylist hacks that I've never seen online before. Thank you.
My hack to keep from getting makeup on clothes that I am pulling over my head is to put a shower cap over my face first. Tucking in the shirt without adding bulk in the trousers is a great tip! Thank you!
I like the rolling up the sleeves to elbows. I didn’t realize it affected the proportion so much. Thanks for sharing 💕
Or, if you can find em, just buy tops with 2/3 sleeves. They are great.
Thank you!
Tucking just does not work for me. My stomach is too expised. This technique works for women who do not have a tummy.
I'm skinny, but I sometimes have a pot tummy. Tucking can be done on one side, and still be effective. It's really just to define a waist/hip point to create a better silhouette. Play around with it. 😊
That does not work on a huge tummy
I am very skinny but I have a bulging tummy due to an illness I have, but what I find most helpful is wearing a size bigger than my normal size and a high waist pants or skirts and that hides my stomach almost completely.
Try to tuck on one side, it will create asymmetric line and will elongate the torso without adding extra bulk.
I agree, these skinny people can do it and it looks good but no one can tell me it looks good on a rolly poly tummy, they can say half tuck or side tuck but still if a roll of fat tummy is exploit looks terrible and not for me
You can also put a scarf over your head before putting on your top to prevent makeup stains.😊
This works for hair too! Put the scarf over your head before pulling the shirt on and you won’t mess up the curls, waves, etc. 🙂💇🏼♀️
You are fantastic! Never saw someone share so much. Smart sassy tips to make us look our best. Thank you so happy to have found you💕
I love all the tucking ideas. I’m 5ft 4 and clothes don’t fit well at all. This is great. I feel I can now experiment and hopefully feel confident again .
