- Everett Ford was at the Mid America Trucking Show with S&J Kilgore's Pete. He shares what custom work has been done with the truck since it was purchased and whose custom parts are on it.
The truck is a 1996 Peterbilt 379 / 550 CAT / 18 speed / 265in wheelbase 3.55 rears and it's hooked to a 2019 Wilson 53ft spread axle cattle trailer.

I was a O/O for 15yrs and sold out and went to a pete dealership and was a tech 10yrs before finishing my career in the oil field as a rig mechanic. One thing is for sure.once you have trucks in your blood you will be connected to them some how one way or the other the rest of your days. Great job chris and another fine rig 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
The bunk brings back memories of the old "Double Eagle's" .We had one on a 1977 Peterbilt 359 that I "grew up in". There are about as common these dayes as a UNICORN .
I remember those eagle bunk's, my dad had one on a Dodge long Horn. Also remember polishing it.
Mera wo
Wow that Pete definitely deserves first place, took 4 days to clean it again that’s a lot of work to do, one of the best 379’s I’ve ever seen!
Peterbilts in my opinion are one of the best trucks made. Awesome looking rig!
Ate breakfast with the guy that drives that truck in Woodward Oklahoma at the truck wash. Had to take a picture of the truck as I was walking in. He’s a cool ol guy to sit and chat with funny as hell too!
That ol 379 lookin cleeeeeean!
Thats a real nice truck
Thanks Chris
Wish it had a rolling cb interview
Met the owner today at Jonesborro Arkansas Frito Lay plant , beautiful truck and a nice guy .nice video didn’t even know it was a show truck.
Love the blue,and the music.
Wow that is just gorgeous I don’t know what else to say if you don’t love that truck there’s no hope for you!
AWESOME TRUCK AND TRAILER
Supper Awesome looking Rig! I like the look of the sleeper.
Very nice, that sleeper I dunno smn about it just looks cool 👍👍
Gorgeous Peterbilt !!! I would drive this truck!!
That "old mercury sleeper" look really sets off the truck. Old school guys know what the mercury sleeper was for and what it did. You tell me what you think it was for and did you tubers. Plenty of old school drivers will explain it.
Love the camper!
love the look of this Pete
Nice Truck i wish the video was longer😢👍
My buddy used to drive that truck.. Used to be burgundy with a 12.7 Detroit. Was owned by Gilbert farms before J. Mills rebuilt it

Thanks Chris for another great video! Question for you - Do any of the "Show Truck" owners get any income directly from the shows they attend? For example is "Appearance Money" or even just "Prize Money" available for any of the shows? It must be a really expensive hobby or even as advertising for a business to maintain and move these "show" rigs around not to mention build in the first place.
For the most part, no. There is no money paid to a owner to attend a show. In most cases there might be a fee to attend a show with a truck.
@@BigRigVideos Thanks so much for getting back! Pretty expensive "hobby", although probably deductible if you have a shop related to the business some how. Please keep up the great work you do Chris, there are a lot of truck lovers out there who don't have the means or ability to get around to the shows.
It's mostly the prestige and meeting great people and checkin out others pride and joy. Imho
stew stewart it really depend my dad built a shit ton of show trucks all Peterbilt most of the money that they get from the shows would be like 500 bucks and a trophy or you’d win a set of stacks or something like that for the truck. All depends on what place you get in the show.
AWESOME!😎
Can you please make a video about ShipperInfo app? It is the app which shows information for the shippers/receivers with live time statistics on detention time. Everyone needs to know about this app to get the fair detention fee!!!
Cool video😎
wonderfull truck
Beaty!
Nice 👍
Door panels and cab interior looks like a factory 359 interior
Mais le camion est magnifique

Nothin! But! Hotness!! But it would look all the more HOT!! If it was a tad bit longer wheel base.

He said 4 state trucks makes them.
There a reproduction sleeper that was known as a MERCURY SLEEPER from the 70's & 80's!!!! Another aftermarket sleeper option U can put on a trk!!!!😎🙂
@@scottycollins908 oh nice I knew it was a old type sleeper

Cool truck, bet it gets like 3.5-4mpg lol
Nihad Keso mozda, a mozda i ne
why take horns off the roof ..takes away from old school look.....better yet put bigger ones on hang em over the roof 😂
Thats what i say just a new fade
Nice Petty but the sleeper is weird looking
Lay Heavy FatBoy smh
С наружи красивый в нутри очень страшный.
The sleeper ruins the whole look of the truck... Looks like chit.
It's sad to see a sexy truck carry Pigs to slaughterhouse :( ....I like animal & the truck :)
Too bad this truck was wrecked and totalled out. Junkyard scrap now.
What?
