    It's very interesting how you were able to bring such an amazing result.
    I do want to mention that even though the lens has more compression than most of portrait lenses you were able to show more of the location!!

    Definitely my favorite look of all of your lenses so far........for many shooters,
    long lenses were the STANDARD for fashion photography during the 1990s and 2000s .
    Often a 300 f2.8.

    I have the 200-600mm G lens and that would be the last lens I would use for portraits unless I was trying to do a silhouette sunset shot where I was trying to compress the background or something like that. The 200-600mm is a great lens at a great price. But, I think I'll leave it at home if I'm doing portraits.

    The 200-700mm is my go-to lens. I use it for bird, wildlife, landscape and close-up photography (have not try portrait yet). Keeping the camera and lens steady for a long period is challenging. For me, coming up from a crouching position is a killer.

  • @jpokeefe
    @jpokeefe Год назад +1

    Lovely video. The compression when you photographed her in front of the pink building made her look much larger than her surroundings which was interesting. Expect it would be an even harder portrait session with an APS-C camera.

      If you can use a fast enough shutter speed, then you can definitely use this hand held :) don't forget that the longer your focal length = more chance for motion blur. But yeah, the fast shutter mitigates this!
