  • I shared on one of the Good Good Podcasts that I have Tourette's, so this video may not come as a surprise to some of you. If you have not heard or watched that podcast though, this is the first time on my channel I have posted anything regarding Tourette's. Just a heads up, this video really isn't that much about golf until the last ten minutes. I hope y'all enjoy the video and thank you all again for the love and support! Y'all mean the world to me!

Bubbie, we cannot thank you enough for posting this video! Our 12-year-old son, Noah, struggles with tics and extreme anxiety that goes along with the tics. He also happens to be a fantastic golfer and he loves all of your videos and the Good Good videos:). This morning he came running down the stairs with the biggest smile on his face and said, “Mama and Daddy! Mama and Daddy! Guess what? Bubbie has tics too! This is soooooo cool!” To tell you that your video means the world to him is an understatement. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your video brings him hope. Your video brings him out of his loneliness in tics. We are forever grateful! He is such a cool kid, it’s about time he thinks that about himself too!

Thank you so much for sharing this! It means the world to me! Tell Noah I say hello and be sure to know you're not alone my man. I'm right there with ya! Not only with the tics, but I struggled a lot with anxiety derived from my tics too. Remember, this too shall pass. I promise you that, because I've been there but now I'm happy as can be. Much love!

Some people won’t understand that Tourette’s isn’t just you screaming and everything, Golf is probably the hardest game to play with Tourette’s, you have to be laser focused every time you are above the ball about to make the swing. Love the honesty Bubbie!👍

Good stuff my man. I ordered a starter set for my 7 year old autistic grandson, who is basically my son, and they literally arrived today, so we were watching some Good Good videos to get hyped, and then came across this. Now my son wants me to call him Bubbie, and I have no qualms about doing it. Thank you for showing him that all walks of life can play this game, and making him feel like he belongs, even before he hits his first shot. It should be interesting trying to teach him with him being a lefty an all lol, but we'll figure it out. Once again, thank you.

Ive got the same kind of tourettes where not many people can tell and often times when they find out they literally tell me im lying bc i dont scream out swear words like the severe cases. Over the years I’ve internalized a lot of my tics from what used to be pretty noticeable tics like shaking my head twitching to now just having smaller tics like grunting or clearing my throat or tensing my ears. I used to be so insecure about it and now I go around telling whoever about it because it doesn’t have a grasp on my mental wellbeing anymore. Thanks for sharing man, you’re not alone❤

Bubbie; Thank you and congratulations for being at a place in your life where you now are able to speak about this so candidly. As someone who also suffers from this disorder, in fact we have VERY similar tics, it helped me to realise that this is nothing to be ashamed about. I used to be very much like yourself, to the point where I would avoid social gatherings in case somebody noticed my tics and twitches and started to make fun of me because of it. Over the years, I've definitely learnt more to live with and to embrace it as its apart of me, as a part of my character and nothing is going to change that now. I recently took up golf over the past couple of months, and whilst my game is nowhere near the level I want it to be, whilst I'm out on the course, I've noticed that my tics become less prevalent and that going through the whole routine of the shot helps to calm me down. Continue crushing it with Good Good and the boys, as well as your personal endeavours, whilst also being a huge inspiration on people. Like you said, sometimes you really don't know who it's going to help and if it helps one person speak about it, then you will have done your job. Well, that one person was me, so thank you.

Bubbie, I am so unbelievably proud of you. The courage you showed through posting this video is immeasurable. Just you watch, the implications of this video-of the the bravery and transparency you displayed-will be far-reaching. This video is not simply about you, although I do think this will help you continue to live, grow, and progress with your condition. No, aside from affecting you personally, this video will stand as a beacon of hope for people just like you. Mark my words, somebody will watch this and find courage. Somebody will watch this video and find strength. And somebody will watch this video will find self-worth and self-love. You have that to them. I am astounded, my man. Saying I’m proud would be an understatement. Keep it up, brother! Keep your head held high. You are making a difference in this world. We need more people like you.
If you ever have the hankering to golf in Kentucky, reach out! We’ll do some mountain golfing! Go with God, my friend.

Hey Bubbie, I’m an Evan’s Scholsr from Ohio State, and learned about you as a program celebrity. I think it would be dope if you did a series highlighting scholars here and there that with their permission. Could be huge in opening a door between mental health and the game of golf. As well as exposing a huge base of people to an opportunity that could present them to college? Love the content, I’ll continue to watch and like all the videos!!

You have so much to be proud of Bubbie. Perspective and balance is a great thing in this life. There are always times where perspective and balance can get out of whack, but having the strength to face our fears, insecurities, issues, etc is an important part of life. It seems we learn the most about ourselves in our weakest moments. Keep on fighting the fight and never give up. Be proud, be strong, be real, be you!

Thank you for making this video. My 11 year old nephew struggles with tourette's and playing golf is tough for him as well. He stands over shots for long periods trying to get comfortable, and I know it can frustrate me and his dad that it backs us up on the course, but at the same time I know how this affects him. He is self conscious that people are watching him, and I feel over protective of him as well in those situations. I can't imagine what he is going through, but this gives a great insight. I hope he continues to find his passion just like you have. Continue to put out great videos.

Thanks man, as someone who has always had weird ticks and twitches but never went to a doctor or anything I have no idea if I have a form of Tourette's but I've always felt like a weirdo for the goofy sounds, clearing my throat constantly and small ticks. The part about your imperfections making you who you are was nice to hear. Can't be yourself without all of yourself :)

I knew there was something about you I could relate too. It isn’t the Tourette’s it is the addiction part. (P.s. huge congrats on overcoming the anxiety of coming out about it) but I also had a pretty bad addiction to pills and lean. From 16 to 19 it was bad and all 4 years are a blur. But then I got a job at a golf course. And believe it or not it changed my life. Before I worked there I never in my life saw myself playing golf. But working on a course changed my life for the better. I am now 3 years sober and challenging myself to become the best golfer I can and get my body in the healthiest shape I can get it in.

Just started watching Good Good and came across this video and actually was laughing out loud to myself. i have similar issues since i was a kid to now being (40) in a job where i am dealing with people everyday. i admire the courage you have to put this out there and confront/take it on. honestly i wish i had that, instead everyday i try and limit/hide it as best i could and its very exhausting. i really liked the comment of "get it out of your system" that satisfaction feeling, which i could relate daily to. what is funny is how sometimes it effects my golf game, i am in that 7-8 handicap range and when i play with strangers i have the same routine, get the feeling out then really concentrate on not doing it. This is what is on my mind not golf and i will tend to shoot my lowest scores, so i guess that is the positive spin for me.
just wanted to say i think its amazing that you posted this and it shows how strong of a person you are. best of luck
