Wool yarn is more for durability not looks. Acrylic for a carpet will not withstand daily wear and tear and only good if you are planning to just hang on wall. Kind of like those Wool Roving blankets that people were making that just fell apart.
@@sotarnue you need to use rug wool (which can be dyed or purchased in every colour possible) rug yarn is coarse and durable. Acrylic isn’t made to last. These are facts.
Can you please please please do a in depth tutorial on tufting with a loop. Like how you do your lines and make it looks so clean. Also do you have any tips about using a loop pile gun
Hey love the video! I have a question: do you know how to adjust the loop pile size? All the videos I watch on it seem to have different parts than you and I’s
lol I have the same issues with long sleeve shirts. You might want to give climbing a try. It's really good for that if your arms are longer than your proportions.
Just a quick FYI about bonsai scissors. They’re Bone-Sigh, not Ban Zai. Banzai is what kamikaze’s yelled when they would crash planes into battleships. It’s the same word Japanese businessmen yell when they want to get pchyched up about something. Bonsai (Pronounced Bone-Sigh) are not at all related, it;s just they seems similar to English speakers so they’re easily confused. ボンサイ Bonsai 盆栽 バンザイ Banzai 万歳
hello bro, one question. When using the loop pile is it not necessary to shave the carpet at the end to give a better finish as when using the cut pile?
how does your fabric not get pushed in? Every time I tuft with my fabric really tight it always ends up getting pushed in a I create a hole. I'm close to giving up tifting.
Are you using burlap as a backing? I want to start using it because it’s so much cheaper than tufting cloth, but I don’t know if it’s easy to work with.
@@maxcurtis5757 I'm using burlap from joannes also. I've just been stapling it to the frame but I noticed that if I'm using more pressure the edges will start to stretch almost like it's going to rip from the staple. I hope that makes sense, just wondering if you experience this at all.
hey! how big is your frame/where are you shopping? i've been having trouble finding burlap to cover a 6x6 frame that isn't too expensive. everything i've found is just as pricy as tufting fabric
You can get standard burlap at hardware stores made to protect plants. I get a 40 inch by 100 feet for $50 cad which is like 40 USD. But it's really hard to work with I find, and would only use it for practice or personal projects personally. The premium stuff goes a lot better and you get way more consistent results. But it does cost like 3 times more. I still get mine way cheaper than monks cloths or what not from a local ish fabric store though. It's weaved way more consistently and tighter. The standard stuff can get right loose threads and give me issues sometimes. The good stuff is a little more, but I think it's worth it just for the comfort of working with something descent and not have to deal with sometimes pretty serious issues with tension and such.
So I just scrolled down and find your video and I subscribed and went to your page and was hoping to find a website? Or link? Where are you?! I would love to know how to purchase one of your creations- or special request a project?
any tips on keeping burlap stretched tight? it always starts great for me but comes loose after a while no matter how tight i stretch it, it makes it super difficult to make big rugs cause i have to keep re-stretching and they become all warped and crooked lol it's driving me crazy 🙃
I use a stapler. You have to put them really close to each other. Like 1-2 inches. A lot more control and keeps it stretched nicer I find. The nail strips available here are hella expensive too. I saw people use push pins too, which I want to try sometime. With staples you can just rip it out when you're done or need to adjust without much issues. Just not reusable.
Wonderful. I want to rub my face on that rug. It makes me feel good when I look at it.
Bruh I’m dead I was like what 💀
Mommy really liked you.
“I accidentally shop lifted them’ made me laugh so much

Eh I’d like to disagree, wool is way to soft and will shear with an movement.

Speaking of course about a floor rug.. if it’s going on the wall, acrylic is fine (if you don’t mind the environmental implications of buying acrylic)
Do all of the same colored sections at once so you can thread the gun less often. Great job. I love your designs.
Dude, make more videos! You have the best designs!!!
Hey thanks so much for sharing!

how do you keep your burlap from tearing along the edge of the frame ?
Hey max, Hi ¿What did you recomend to buy for begginers?
Hey was wondering how do you choose the exact color of yarn to match picture from google?
I love snippin!
That burlap of how many ounces is it? There are several measures, which is the appropriate one?
Your a nervous wreck. I dig it 💕
Очень креативно и красиво! Цвета яркие, приятно смотреть! 👍 Продаёте?
Hey!! My yarn falls right out of my fabric when I am tufting. Do you have any idea why it’s doing that??
what kind of primary backing cloth are you using?
How did you get the burlap to stay in the rug tack mine won’t stay
Accidentally shoplifted the expensive scissors. I love it lol.
@Max Curtis what kind of yarn do you use?

hello bro, one question. When using the loop pile is it not necessary to shave the carpet at the end to give a better finish as when using the cut pile?
Is it better to get a loop pile gun or a cut pile gun?
How do you get the burlap stretched out so nice??
Where'd you get your burlap?
The one's I've gotten are either too loose or the wrong size!!
Where do you find your like have images because there so cool
When are you touring for stand-up?? I want tickets now!!
That rug is so sick and funny video for sure 🤣 out of interest how long did that rug take to make?

hi, is this rug machine very loud?
Is there special yarn for making These rugs?
Are you using burlap as a backing? I want to start using it because it’s so much cheaper than tufting cloth, but I don’t know if it’s easy to work with.
I am! This is jute burlap from Joann's, it works well as an alternative to tufting cloth.
It must be a different type of Burlap than what I tried to use. Ill try Joanns and try again. Thanks for all the info

What size yarn do you use
This shit is dope. Reminds me of the album art for Mac Miller’s Faces. That would be an ill rug. I’d pay for that. For sure.
🔥🔥🔥
What’s the name of the material you’re making the rug on? I’ve seen people using different materials. And the one you’re using is what I’d prefer
Where did you get your gun from
Nice
Hey i wanna do that same carpet how can i get that drawing ?
