This is a Bonsai Creation Video where I collect a very ordinary looking Privet Hedge and Transform it into some very Special Bonsai Trees. This is Part 1.
This is probably your best video yet because your character comes across really well. I liked the way you did it and the best bit is knowing that the tree is probably semi-finished already :)
Thanks Xav, I was hesitant to do a full voice over on a 40 minute video and was initially going to speed it up by 13 x so it was done in just over 2 mins. In the end 3x speed worked and allowed me to highlight some good bits of the collection and it was good practice for more videos in the future. There are four trees from the hedge that are developing so there will be many updates! Thanks agian and value your feed back.
That was definitely a one coffee collection. I was expecting much longer!! I ended up with 4 trees but my favourite is the big monster. It's just so knarly!
Us Poms prefer privets hedges to fences or walls around our gardens, they make for great mazes too. Hardy as F..K here as well. Great idea to dig them up for bonsai and by the looks of the second one out, a great clump style. I'll have to check out your results. Good video thanks, hope you have recovered now. 👍
There are some hedges near my house. Always growing and look good. The owner was going to dump them in the future. Hated them. They are still works in progress. Plenty of updates and there is another tree not featured but I will do a video in the future.
Yeah mate my bunnings brand recip saw burnt out and got a dewalt. My hand blistered and the olive stump was smoking and it was still going strong😂 lots of chinese and tree privet here in NZ, and in my garden too. Got a couple nice ones im working on 😀
Man you dig fast🤣🤣 you’re pretty buff💪🏻where’s the chicks at🤷🏼♂️The way you handle that big Bertha you’re a strong man💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 So is the commercial name ‘Box Hedge’ or is that something different again

Jack leave this Aussie alone - he actually knows what he is doing when it comes to Bonsai :)
@@XaviersBonsaiRetreat I wouldn’t dare interfere with the Aussie’s. He does do a good job and plain talking is great,
Won't get too fancy with the talk here!! 👍

It helps heaps to have good gear and sharp blades. If I'm working on olives I will use a brand new blade. Flick me some pics on instagram same name

Jackson digs harder than you mate 😉
"Around that big one"... *zooms in on your arse*
I normally pronounce "sinense" as SIN-EN-SEE
Hahaha I was editing trying to make it interesting! Terrible angle I know. I should have moved the camera! Thanks for the comment! 👍
