I still can't figure out how this gacha tower defence can affect me on so many levels for a 5 years already, it's just insane. I'm already on my first year of masteries to become a genetic scientist just because of it. It's so dumb yet i'm so thankful for what they did for us through all this years, music, story, world and emotions, i didn't thought i would have a media what would call in me on such a high level. Happy birthday arknights. I hope we have much more years yet to come together.

My favourite part there is at the end of the segment, Mephisto's face turned from psychotic smile into a teary frown, while Faust start closing his eyes, definitely a symbolism at how their fates turned out.

Edit: oh my god, I just realised at 1:09, Mephisto begins crying, as the light on Faust turns to shadow, representing his death.
Not only that-
Chinese name of Arknights can be translated as "Ark of Tomorrow", so it also fits the scene really well.
"Where is our ark?", she asks.
And that go into whole grand "what if" FrostNova and her guys were found by Rhodes Island first, instead of Reunion.

I really like all the symbolics in this game. Someone carefully fixed a crane-shaped napkin to be perfect, and then the guest just destroyed it in one swift movement. I also think the ball that Kalt'sit was holding looked like the Earth.

We also see a flashback of every chapter, and embarking on a new tomorrow, signifying the end of arc 2 and moving to The Observers in arc 3, where we essentially change the whole setting ground of Arknights.

Sorry but this is actually almost nothing to do with Cloverworks. It's directed by freelancer animator Hiromatsu Shuu and most of the team come from BigFireBird Studio, which was also in charge of the bulk of THAT FGO memorial movie with Hiromatsu Shuu. Cloverworks is credited there only because an animator, Maiko Hado participated as a In-house Cloverworks staff.
Saw the music first on Mili's channel without knowing about the PV.
The song itself hits me really hard but accompanied with this almost got me tearing up.

im going to be preaching about mili until my death. it kinda feels amazing to hear them in so many different things now. arknights, limbus company, library of ruina, world flipper, ender lilies and its sequel, deemo I and II, vermeil in gold, goblin slayer, the executioner and her way of life. im sure im missing some but wow… seeing mili grow so far out like this, especially after being a longtime fan, is just amazing.

@@vader1481 Such a sinister sequence of scenes too. Child Frostnova playing with the other children happily, presumably this is after Patriot saved them, then it cuts to a troop pulling their crossbow ready to shoot and finally cuts to Kaschey and the Ursine nobles laughing.
The wine was more akin to blood too.
It’s also in stark contrast to Outcast and some other operators laughing just seconds before too where they’re framed to look a lot more human.
Despite being 4 years of playing arknights, This made me feel resonated of what I've been through from reading lores, operator stories, events, and etc. after I saw operators are standing behind us including deceased. I realized how much responsibility it is. Stay strong Doctors. I know you too can do it! Its such important thing to understand that you have to trust yourself, Because operators also trusts you aswell that you can do it. Thank you for everything.

To the legions of Doctors everywhere grinding it out to become the best tactician, the best collector of waifus, or whatever they wish to achieve in Arknights.
To the many NPCs who have died across all storylines, with copium levels still at their all-time peaks, and countless more unnamed characters who have been forgotten as the plotlines of Terra advanced.
And to a future that awaits us up ahead, 500 years from where Terra is now...
This PV is a culmination of everything that Arknights has been, already is, and will be to many people. With it rapidly approaching the 5 year mark, it really couldn't have come at a better time.

Oh my God, When Theresa places the Civilight Aeterna on Amiya's head, you can see a tear roll down her cheek for a split second! Every second of this animation is just filled with details and care, holy shit. This is beautiful.
