I just wanted to weigh in for anyone else putting on any kind of stick on decals protectors or etc. A perfect way to keep the sticker aligned during installation is to use a strip of masking tape completely across the sticker holding it in place. In this case from top to bottom from the tank over the grip center and down to the bottom of the tank. Then fold or lift up to the tape peel off the backing, cut off the backing up to the tape, then press the sticker into place. Now with the sticker half stuck on, remove the tape and the rest of the backing and press the rest of the sticker into place.
I had a bunch of custom graphics put on my truck by a professional and he showed me that trick. Still heat and smooth and all that, but there is no way to misalign the sticker like this.
Another good video. I like watching the bike mods.

Cheers Jason, yeah they can be a right cunt but heat makes it 10x easier- but cock up and that's it! I've got a PPF coming down the lines soon so can't wait to try that one out.
That sounds mint mate, long way away but would be a good trip!

Hey Mate, thanks for sharing. Nice bike. How are you finding the clear colour? Has it faded or does it have a yellow colour to it? I am looking at getting these pads and on the dealers website it says 'Clear can appear yellow in colour'. So deciding on Black or Clear but its going on a GSA with white tank. Thanks again

Clear has been great, no off colouring. However this was through winter, not sure how they will react in harsh sunlight/UV

Hi mate ,just watched your video on fitting tank grips/protection pads ,looks really good job tbh, could of done with watching it before I fitted mine to my new mto9, think I fucked it up really, they went on really well and in a even level way but they are slightly to high but like you said its difficult to get them off again, anyway really enjoyed the video mate, stay safe fella. 😀

Thanks for sharing John. I have these to fit on my Tuono 660 which has a very concave tank and your advice will help. I think I'll leave it for a warm day or bring it inside.
