I think umpires get way to much hate, grief, blame (whatever you want to call it). They’re humans just like us, which means they are flawed, can make mistakes (some of them far bigger than others) and can have different opinions and viewpoints. That means that we shouldn’t blame them if they make a bad call or a call that is unfavourable to our chosen team. It doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t be held accountable, I just wish people (fans, players, managers) would give them a break.
I was once asked how I put up with parents' bullshit. I don't remember what I said, but I know I'm there to do a job to the best of my ability. Once I reach the point where I don't care about everyone's opinions about my calls, I feel unstoppable and do my best.
If this was the end of it then sure. But umpires double down on their mistakes and throw people out for looking at them wrong or questioning anything. It's all an ego trip and they deserve to be replaced.
2:17 Dutch Rennert was the greatest strike caller ever behind the plate.

There was one blooper in an Astros braves game where Bob Engel called a 3-1 pitch strike three.
