    I think along with most folks my initial reaction to the price was WTF!?!?!!! $800!!! But the more I look at all the details and options that come standard on this harness the more it seems that you actually are going to come out ahead it you took a standard TreeMotion or other similar harness and somehow came up with all those features. I really like the bridge adjustment D ring solution. Swapping it to the left and managing slack with a DMM mini-vault. An then there's the whole DMM ecosystem of accessories. Stowaways, Tendon, Vaults, and Caimen. All said if you get it all you're really looking at more like $1000 which like one of the guys said "Depends on who's buying it for me!" The 3 sizes solves a ton of issues for fit as well. If I hadn't just bought a new TreeMotion...I would be saving up for one of these.

    Just holds the leg loops in place. Monkey beaver has it as well. I'm still rocking the single bridge tree motion myself.

  • @TimberTrainer
    @TimberTrainer 2 месяца назад +2

    They could have positioned the leg clips on the inside so you don't have to step through the loops. Getting mud and dog poop on your nice saddle is not a problem with saddles that have inside leg buckles and adjustable/removable bridges. The one big advantage of this saddle vs. Treemotion is the three sizes. A harness that fits properly is more than adjustability or customization.

    I thought I recognized my local HD. Glad you guys went to Mt. Auburn, I walk there weekly. Come back in late spring, it's phenomenal, and you can climb the tower for the best view of the city.

    So if you want an adjustable bridge, what should you use? I used the Petzel black one as mine and it works great. The micrograb

    • @Sethhaun78
      @Sethhaun78 2 месяца назад

      You can use petzl mirco grab black or I you have saddles with rigging paws you can do like Richard Mumford just ziptie a rolling lock ct to the paws..it works great and the knot is your life support even though ct rolling lock will definitely hold you he does tests its incredibly under rated and the black micro MONKEY 🙊 beaver testes it on brw bridge rope ..it's perfectly safe

      @@Sethhaun78 That's what I use the black micrograb from petzel on. My monkey beaver saddle I love it what do you use buddy

    It's a beautiful saddle I love the adjustable bridge that is built-in. It's so expensive though I want one so bad I just can't pay $850. No suspenders come with it nothing pretty much then you're spending an extra 2 to 300 to get the saddle set up for how you need it. You better off getting the monkey, beaver With suspenders, extra leg pads, and everything is pretty much on just my opinion, beautiful, saddle love.

      @@TerrellWillams Yeah, I love the adjustable bridge on that new saddle. But it's so expensive and nothing comes with it like I said. You're spending an extra couple hundred dollars just don't accessories for it

      Another thing with tree motion style harnesses and this one is that super thin. Super super thin waist belt will digg in your stomach..why they dint use a wider thicker webbing.like monkey beaver or the old onyx wich no longer sell was great saddle always wanted one..

      @Sethhaun78 I had the first edition monkey beaver. I now have the 2.0 , absolutely love it. The only thing I wish it came with. Was that adjustable bridge on the new dmm saddle it would be out of this world, then nothing could beat it my opinion.

    I don't care how much it costs for comfort and ease of use. That being said, it's just another treemo. Having that much excess bridge rope dangling off my saddle to get caught on shit would drive me nuts. I have ran all the expensive saddles including the treemo and for a long time the ergo and always found them to be a compromise in comfort or ease of use. The treemo literally fucked my back up and the ergo would constantly be sagging with a big saw. I did kind of like the agility but like this new DMM, it was a bitch to get on. The Monkey Beaver 2.0 is hands down the best saddle after trying every other saddle.

    Taylor here, on behalf of DMM. The bridges must not be cut short. The tacking/sewing on the knotted ends of the rope must remain in place. This serves a few functions...
    1. It locks the core and cover together, which is an important safety and performance feature.
    2. It is a visual aid that ensures enough tail length is present after the knot.
    3. It creates a stiff end that will jam into the knot should the knot ever creep.
    Thanks for the cool unboxing video! We appreciate the comments.

    It's cool, but it's alot of money. Really your looking at $1000 with the tax. And more 💰 if you decide to get any new accessories to set it up.

    Who doesent adjust their saddle thats insaine...and clearly theyve never had injuries..in the groing or legs ..or stomach...i have to adjust customize everything for short people. .especially pants an d spikes spurs..have to cut 2 inches off the shank and drill new holes all spurs come way way to tall ..some need 3 inches cut off to go below the knee..its real pain..these companies dont make anything for guys 5ft7 or under..if i wss 20 years old it wouldnt mater but everything hurts around 50. Shoes pants spurs saddles .xctraa need to heavily mdified ..have to buy several different kinds and send them back becayse stores are not close to try stuff on.the sizeing is way off ..arbor wear is only place that has true sizes..there dogwood pants are hands down best chainsaw pants on the markets. ..there lighter cooler for summer..beats clogger and the rest and looks professional nkrmal colors..in second place is the solidur climb pants chainsaw version grey lime with touch of blue..if the blue wasnt there they would be better.

    Im sorry but richard mumford has done extensive research and real testing on ct rolling lock adjustable bridge .its in no way dangerous and ct rolling lock is way underated..the knot is the lifesuport ..also monkey beaver has tested same concepts with petzl micro grab and it passes will flying colors .after ansi fall standard s. You would want to replace any bridge after wards due the mechanical force on the rope its teeth ..but works great ..think its REDICULOUS to say that then say your gling to cut the kinisi bridge sewen ends..😮just telling the truth ..as suggestion next time do reveiwe unboxing with a acuttual customer thats buying one..sure theres guys foaming at the mouth for one..makes no sense
