- Comparing these 2 beautiful decks by Robert M Place. The Minor Arcana in the Tarot of the Sevenfold Mystery was based on the work done years earlier for the Alchemical Tarot so there are lots of similarities between the two decks.

Thank you do much for this video. It really helps to get a feel for both decks - instead of buying them blind. I will be taking an introductory course in the Tarot at the Open Center in NYC - actually taught by Robert M. Place. We can use one of his decks or a Waite-Smith deck (our choice) in his class. He recommends that we read his book: “The Tarot, Magic, Alchemy, Hermeticism, and Neoplatonism.” It should be very interesting. Thank you again for taking the time to demo the Tarot decks! Blessings!

Wonderful video !!! Thak you for sharing it :) I'm in the biggest conundrum. I ADORE the colors of the Sevenfold but would have a much better time reading the Alchemical.
I almost bought the alchemical tarot, then I saw the seven fold mystery. After seeing them side by side though I'm definitely getting the alchemical.

I have both decks and I wish the Alchemical deck would have more of the Sevenfold color. Do you know if the earlier Alchemical decks were more vibrant?

I prefer the colors of the Alchemical ceck, but there is just way too much Naked for me. There are lovelier decks.
