      @@bigb6976 Im training in a dutch kickbox gym, and I agree with you, fighters in thailand often fight up to 200+ times, thats because they train and spar lightly and save up the potential damage for the fight. Mike does not love to see his own fighteres from his gym going easy becouse someone will tell ooh he is not good i can beat him, he wants his fighteres to knock out others if can. That are rules of gym, if you dont want that, there are others gym, and yes Mike warns all fighters, he says to everyone to go to begginer group to see how it is

But it seems to be alot of different skill level on the fighters and there is nothing cool about kicking a beginners ass. I would like to see if they are as confident sparring Kyshenko or Melvin hehe.. Pros usually dont train this hard without headgear, very stupid its only training. I don't think they know what they are doing. They kick and live their leg fall. They don't have thrusting power. They don't fight intelligent. Intelligent fighting is the key. They strike there here, there is no sign of intelligent fighting. Someone with precision, power, timing and some sense of how the body works.. will win over them no matter ho strong are they.. they don't fight intelligent.
      They are not pros. They are probably, as what we can see, new, most of them. This is the advertisement of the gym they are doing, to show off. they aren't pro, and no, most of them don't know what they are doing. Sure, they are holding their knee strikes, UUPPS! Sorry, my mistake! I forgot to hold my knee striek 1cm before your head, but i thrusted your head by 5cm! Sorry! I'm not a pro, don't blame me.. I'm a pro after 10 years! Ups sorry that I killed you with my knee strikes, we do it because we believe safety doesn't exist, and it's better to condition your head and penis to take strikes that can kill you, UUPPSSS!

    This is a dutch Kickboxing Gym, over here you are trained to be able to win a fight, learn how to take punches and how to give them. if fighting is not for you dont do it or do some karate or some other fighting sport with less physical contact
    The dutch are the greatest kickboxing nation in the world, starting with Jan Plas back in the days where the sparring was just as hard as you see over here. If not even harder. my dad trained in the 80's with Rob Kaaman and all the other future legends and those guys where tough! just look up the stats. The dutch are simply the best and most decorated kickboxing nation in the world.
    and don't start the Thai Bullshit. they fight under different rules and the point system is more focussed towards kicks. at a thai fight you almost never see knockouts.

    The Kid knew what he signed up for. Sure it looks odd but He can handle him self. He only becomes stronger threw this. Plus he is in an professionel envorinment so dont worry about it.
    The shit they do in thailand with kids competing is far worse!

    Is this how people in Netherlands spar? Its pretty different if u look Thai gyms and their sparring. In Thailand it looks more like playing games and having fun.

      thailand? you serious bud? they run their kid fighters ragged. no protection, constant fights. it might look more 'good-natured' on the surface, but they're destroying their bodies in the same way. yet no one really wants to judge the thai kickboxing culture... it's all controlled violence anyways. what do you expect?

    I know he might be and is and its probably because the kid went too hard out on Murthel and Murthel sort of gave it back, that happens to me alot when the pace of the sparring is too slow. But you can tell everyone is judging Murthel. It wouldve been good if you showed that the kid was going hardout then Murthel did his thing. And that kid looks like a good fighter aswell. I know how the kid feels.

    Well I read the comments and I my self is a man of fair sportsmanshit i think he should have helpd him watching how it went at first and that as a older fighter you should treat younger ones better. But I also saw befor he want to take him down i also saw that the younger one conerd the black guy and put him under presure i hope all of you guys commenting against him also saw that. And do any of us know if he went after the session to talk to him about that?

    i can never understand while they will the trainer serious while he is fat as fuck. sure he can have the knowledge, but someone who cares so little about his own health and fitness is not to be taken seriously in my book. as a trainer you should also be the example.

    dont know if thats a good idea, to the legs is fine but to the body i think no hard knees because i have seen two people break there ribs like that in sparring and these guys can probably hit alot harder than the guys i train with. with shin guards i would say kick hard anywhere but knees elbows and sweeps are when i have had/seen the worst injuries and heels aswell :)

    I used to think Mike was a great trainer, but the technique through this whole video was absolutely horrible!! Whoever says I'm a dick for pointing out this fact is an ignorant fool! Melvin and Badr are explosive and have shown very good technique and phenomenal power, but Manhoef is too wild and gets koed a lot while Badr can get KO hungry and get sloppy at times. Some fighters with nice technique are Giorgio Petrosyan, Buakaw, Masato, Tyrone Spong, Ross Pearson, Thiago Alves & Anderson Silva.

    Great sparring session ! Just to come back on some of the comments below on the fighters going too hard on each others. This session takes place in The Netherlands, which has real kickboxing/Muay Thai culture, very small country, but still on the all time Top 3. Sparring sessions there are characterized by fighters going "full on" during sparring sessions everyone there knows it...before stepping in the gym. This way of training is one of the many reasons why dutch fighters keep on being at the top of kickboxing/Muay Thai for the last 30 years. So no injustice, just willing fighters ready give it all in the gym ;-) Osu !

    Can normal average Joe go and train there? Or is it rough sparring only??

    • @quickstep2408
      @quickstep2408 4 года назад

      when they spar they go like 80% everytime. doesn't matter who you are or who your training partner is. you have to understand that it's just their kickboxing culture. just like the young thai kids who don't wear protective gear and have matches almost every week.
      bottom line -- you're not going to be afraid of ANYONE toe to toe after a while if you trained dutch lol

    May I know what is the big deal with video and all the hate for Murthel?? Obviously you guys has never been involved in a pro sparring session?? Have you ever heard of "Gym Wars"?? Well that's it... If the kid should be treated fairly, WTF is he doing in there in the 1st place??If he went hard you get it back hard that's the name of the game, those complaining don't play it...

  • @toppaz79

    I didn't say 'they ONLY dominate because they got the the jump on everyone else'. I gave another reason too i.e no other big sports as competition. Maybe the latter is the more important factor. Frankly I find your claim that knocking seven shades of shit out of someone makes them a better fighter pretty ridiculous. You're right, they still dominate. How long that situation will persist given the relatively recent spike in MMA, and subsequently Muay Thai, interest worldwide is anyones guess.

  • @toppaz79
    @toppaz79 11 лет назад

    Yeah... or maybe he'll think "fuck this" and never come back to that gym again. That kid isn't learning anything by being beaten up on... and the conditioning training can come later when he's got the technique and tactics down. I've seen an instructor beat the shit out of a guy for doing that.. literally chased him out of the door.
