    I also have the i9-14900K CPU and fortunately I have not had any stability issues *knock on wood*. Now that you mentioned it, I'm wondering if the motherboard plays a key role in keeping things in check. I too have a $700.00 motherboard, the MSI MEG Z790 ACE MAX, so maybe that has helped. Nonetheless, last night I updated the bios to the latest firmware (Microcode 0x129) which is suppose to address potential issues in the future. I also updated the ME firmware. Let's hope things there is no degradation. The only thing I've noticed is high CPU temperatures at times but that is a known thing with this CPU.

      The Intel baseline extreme and performance profiles are creating higher temps than even the default bios profiles from my understanding from the altered LLC on the baseline Intel profiles

      @gvido2923 4 месяца назад

      @@wardeagle1015 yes they do this new bios update is kinda worse i could get better perf and temps with may bios update on Z790 MAXIMUS HERO and now to sync all cores feels glitchy as well

      @@gvido2923 not surprisingly at all. The Asus OC profile gives me better temps and performance as well just limited PL1 and PL2, ICCmax to the Intel defaults and turning off MCE. It's just different LLCs with the different profiles. I'm not surprised the bios in general isn't great right now given how fast it came out

    Try underclock the cpu and lower the voltage. It might reduce tge performance a bit but it will keep the cpu safe

    Can you do a video after the bios update so we can see what those voltage numbers are? Also I’m confused between watts and volts. Intel keeps saying the volt should not be above 1.5v. So where does watts come into play? Of course I’m not an engineer 😂

    In case you update your bios, be sure to backup your Windows 11 system to an external HDD first or lose everything if what happened to my computer.
    If the system does not reboot after your update of bios and you set up the RAID again, usually a reboot will load the old system up, but this time I lost all 3 of my RAID0 set ups..
    After I finally seen that I wasn't going to get my drives back I went ahead and set the RAID0 up and did a clean install of Windows 11. I seen I needed another driver from Gigabyte and after getting onto the page I seen that they had removed the v12E bios and replaced with v12F.. Since I already had Windows 11 registered again, I backed the Windows 11 onto an external HDD, then did the bios update.. After setting the RAID0 back up, it could not see my RAID drives. I put the Windows 11 install disk and rebooted.. Hit "Repair", went into "Troubleshot", then "Backup Image".. I had to hit the add drive button to add the RAID drivers for my MB.. After another reboot, back into Windows 11 all registered, etc.. Just be careful and be prepared.. If you do have to do this Image Backup, be sure to have your RAID drivers on a USB drive before your update of the bios... Some MBs don't do this... This was a Gigabyte Aorus Elite AX..

    I'm on Ryzen right now, but I think all these auto-OCs from the bios are insane. I don't touch PBO. I just set it to a fixed clock and a fixed voltage.
    I think they just went overboard with all the competition and trying to be on top of every chart...
    6GHz is insane and unnecessary. I would just set it to something like 5.5 to 5.8GHz and keep it where the voltage is at 1.3v, or maybe 1.35v
    The way I see it, they just want these chips to burn out fast, so you can go out and buy new ones asap.
