im grounded for psychotically laughing at zombie/Frenchfry Alex. do you get how hard it is to explain to your parents that your favorite band dressed the singer up as a french fry, but plot twist he's a zombie and eats the rest of the band members and a cat.
For everyone saying they miss old all time low: a while ago someone went to an all time low show and held up a sign saying 'we want the old all time low back', Alex stopped the show and said to the girls that you can't expect people not to grow up and change. Alex looked really upset. He was right, you can't expect people to be the same forever. And since their music reflects themselves their music won't be the same either.
This is honestly one of my favorite music videos of all time. And in my opinion it matches the song perfectly. The first time you watch it, you're just as confused as Alex is. Why is he wearing a fries costume? Why is that girl running away from him? Why are his friends afraid of him? Then he says "woah" and it all makes sense. He's been stuck in a situation in life that he absolutely hates, with no conceivable means of escape. And the only way he can deal with it is to shut himself down mentally and emotionally; to the point where he's dead inside, like a zombie. In his mind he's completely normal, but when he looks in the mirror he doesn't even recognize himself. The stranger's bed he woke up in is in fact his own bed. His best friends don't even want to be around him anymore because they're afraid his depression will rub off on them. Girls he might be attracted to run from him because they can clearly see how miserable he is. And he's realized that he needs to get out of that situation, or else he's going to die. "Something's Gotta Give". (That's just my interpretation anyway. Obviously it's not the de facto meaning behind the video). I don't really relate to the song anymore, but I absolutely did when it first came out. And it's an underrated song/music video in my opinion. All Time Low is such a great band!

And the award for 'Most Random Music Video' goes to... All Time Low. Pretty funny though. All Time Low is seriously the funniest non-comedy band right now. They can't stay serious for more than 5 minutes at a time, no matter what they're doing.
I guess things are really about perspective. From my view, this video wasn't even close to comedy. But I guess from your view it is. (I'm not saying it was bad, I'm saying it had a different meaning to it for me)
I've seen much weirder. Specifically, Flying Lotus - Ready Err Not, clipping. - Inside Out, and Death Grips - Inanimate Sensation. Totally different genres, different vibes, but much more random and strange. I'd recommend checking them out. By the way, not bashing ATL, just throwing these videos out there. Also, Liars - Mess on a Mission is strange.
My view on it was the first half Alex was already a zombie. He was walking around, thinking that he was greeting everybody and didn't know why they were all scared. When he sees his reflection, he realizes that he has been a zombie the whole time and was really eating everyone instead of greeting/playing with them. Really, if you catch it, it's a huge plot twist.

Also if you are complaining about their sound you are ridiculous. And before I continue, yes you are allowed to not like it, I'm not trying to force you to like something. But. If you expect the old sound of All Time Low, from their EP's and such, you aren't going to get that full aspect back, those were made back when they were still learning and growing, you aren't gonna get that unpolished sound. They have grown and figured out how they want themselves to sound. Another thing is I am so sick of people hating on the "pop" part of the pop punk or the pop rock genre. It is a part of it. And All Time Low hasn't completely turned pop, actually listen to their songs. Sure they threw some "oohs" and "oh yeahs" into their music, but they still have punk and rock aspects to their songs, maybe some more than others but its still there. Hence the ending to this song, Listen to So Long Soldier, or Outlines, or even Guts. You are listening to the "pop" punk genre, or the "pop" rock genre. Do NOT expect it to be solely punk. If you don't like the pop parts then don't listen to POP punk bands. Go listen to solely punk. Thanks.
They still have the pop-punk vibe rolling. Personally I enjoy the song, the lyrics have meaning behind them, yeah the chord progression is simple but it's catchy and something that hooks people. That's why this was the first single, so that they could reel people in for the rest of the album. I'm going to buy the album regardless because I love All Time Low's music. The four of them know what they are doing and they do it well. I give them props for staying strong in the music industry. Looking forward to that album guys"

Love the tune and the lyrics; just overall an excellent job the guys did for us and I'm proud to say they've came back with a bang! To those of you who aren't keen on the song I recommend listening to it over and over and I guarantee you'll warm up to it, just like I did when I first heard Therapy :)

Also if you are complaining about their sound you are ridiculous.
And before I continue, yes you are allowed to not like it, I'm not trying to force you to like something.
But. If you expect the old sound of All Time Low, from their EP's and such, you aren't going to get that full aspect back, those were made back when they were still learning and growing, you aren't gonna get that unpolished sound.
They have grown and figured out how they want themselves to sound.
Another thing is I am so sick of people hating on the "pop" part of the pop punk or the pop rock genre. It is a part of it.
And All Time Low hasn't completely turned pop, actually listen to their songs. Sure they threw some "oohs" and "oh yeahs" into their music, but they still have punk and rock aspects to their songs, maybe some more than others but its still there. Hence the ending to this song, Listen to So Long Soldier, or Outlines, or even Guts.
You are listening to the "pop" punk genre, or the "pop" rock genre. Do NOT expect it to be solely punk.
If you don't like the pop parts then don't listen to POP punk bands. Go listen to solely punk. Thanks.

They still have the pop-punk vibe rolling. Personally I enjoy the song, the lyrics have meaning behind them, yeah the chord progression is simple but it's catchy and something that hooks people. That's why this was the first single, so that they could reel people in for the rest of the album. I'm going to buy the album regardless because I love All Time Low's music. The four of them know what they are doing and they do it well. I give them props for staying strong in the music industry. Looking forward to that album guys"

At first I thought the video didn't make sense, but now I understand. The first part was what the the guy (Alex) thought he was doing. In his mind he was greeting everyone and didn't understand why everybody was afraid. When he looked in the window, he realized that he was a zombie and it shows the truth in why everyone was so scared of him. Anyway, great video, as usual! Weird, as to be expected from All Time Low.
