The part in Halloween 4 where Michael sits up in Jamie’s room freaked the absolute piss out of me as a kid, it just caught me so off guard the first time. That’s ALWAYS the first image I see in my head when I think about the movie. Also, Bride of Chucky has aged like wine for me, if I can be honest. The first time I saw it, I was a kid and a lot of the marriage humor went over my head. Now that I’ve been in a few relationships and engaged once upon a time, it hits my funny bone in a different way. Most people have an ex they COULD have been good with in another universe or whatever, but in reality are just a huge mess.

The reason Leatherface wore the mother face in the first movie was because he was loosely based on Ed Gein, who was infamous for doing that before he was caught. In this movie though they kind of took it to a ridiculous level that's almost parody, except it's not funny.

I’ve grown to actually really like the Halloween 4 mask it doesn’t look like the mask from the first two films but it’s pretty creepy in it’s own right I think

"The Predator" is like a giant collage of everything I hate about Hollywood movies. People always dog on Predator 2 but that was the first I ever saw and I love it just as much as the first, it's just different. Leprechaun 4 is a God awful movie but the whole Dr. Mittenhand/Mittenspider thing is hilarious.
Growing up I thought I was the only person who knew Phantasm, nobody I knew at the time watched or had heard of it. So this is always a cult favourite of mine, I owned the DVD box set when DVDs were really fashionable (2002). Remembering back when I first saw the original Phatasm, the atmosphere and how they portrayed Angus Scrimm was very intimidating to me. Loved it. I always remember Phantasm 3 which is quite goofy but I loved it. If I rewatched now (20 years later) I’m guessing I wouldn’t be as kind. On another note, I have not seen the Evil Dead remake…I need to watch this with all the positive feedback I hear for this movie.
Hot take. I actually love and enjoy The Final Destination. For me it's my 2nd favorite in the franchise. And I do enjoy all of them. I don't understand or get CGI in movies. Because I don't notice them.
Alien: Resurrection has a lot of fun moments. It's certainly the goriest of the 4 movies. Love Ron Perlman in the movie and the other members of the cast. The set designs are awesome. The cloning chamber scene in this movie is still pretty hard to watch. Anyways, I enjoy this 4th part a lot more then the third movie (which also has its moments in my opinion). The Candyman "sequel"/"remake"...nah...I found it to be s&#t! After watching this movie, I watched the original...wow...such a difference in quality!
Agree - that scene hounted me for years in nightmares. It was a really well-thought-out and terrifying concept plus great execution including believable emotions on the Weaver side. I also like the cast and the background. Unfortunately, the movie is uneven - in the same movie there is an idiotic scene with bullets or a twisted-exaggerated ending.
I honestly love Alien 3, it is very entertaining and has good cinematography, the prisoner characters like Mr. Clemens and Aaron and Dillon were pretty good to me, Ripley did great here and the film has an interesting and dark atmosphere, not to mention good alien action and dialogue as well a phenomenal music score that goes good in companion to the first two movies. To me it is a great conclusion. But Alien Ressureccion is abysmal, to me it's a disgrace to the franchise. The fact that it goes for a more comedic tone, Ron Perlman's character is nasty and unsimpathetic, the side characters don't add anything to the movie, and even though there is the cool water scene, the woman that dies in that scene was terrible, because she dies off screen. WTF? The movie is R rated, why kill this character off screen? But the most disappointing thing about this movie is Ripley's character, acting weird with those Alien personalities and romantic-like with the aliens is awful and so weird. Does not fit the character AT ALL. I'm not against different changes of ideas in franchises, but only if it's good and it works. To me, Ripley's weird behavior does not work for me because it feels weird and it does not suit her character at all. The ending when she feels bad for the Alien Human monster dying was terrible. Aliens killed her friends and Newt and the rest on the planet of Alien 3, why did she feel bad for this creature. Also the fact that the characters kept teasing Winona Ryder's character in some scenes was so annoying and unnecessary. Yeah Ressureccion is not very good in my opinion.
@@justinamenta7241 Yeah I can see why from that perspective but honestly when people and Alien fans ask me what I think about Ressureccion being the true ending to Ripley's story and the franchise, honestly I don't think it works very well.
@@hideandpride1891 Well, to answer your question as to why 'Ripley' acted weird and felt bad for the creature at the end of "Alien: Resurrection" is because for one, it wasn't the real Ripley. It was a freaking clone of her. And also, because the Xenomorph Queen's DNA was combined with the clone's DNA, too. Hence, the clone of Ripley was part Xenomorph and thus, has a connection/bond with the alien creatures.
@@fromtexas2734 Yeah I KNOW THAT. But it was unnecessary and unneeded in my opinion. Her story was well concluded in Alien 3. She doesn't have much to do in this movie and not a lot of action from her character like I expected. It was a weird and unnatural choice to do this to the character of Ripley. The film should've focused on the new characters to breed new "life" to the franchise.
As a massive fan of the franchise I honestly don't outright "hate" either one of 3 or Resurrection...they are both obviously a big drop from the first two but remember the first two films are among the best films ever made period...so it's a very high bar.
Jane Levy is awesome in the Evil Dead remake really good actress and I liked Zoey's playlist alot it was so different with them breaking out into song and dance in every episode,shouldn't have been canceled
Nightmare 4 is my personal favourite in the nightmare series along with 3 and 5 and I will defend it till the end. It’s criminally underrated, the visuals and soundtrack are peak for the series, and Alice’s arc is incredibly inspiring.

Halloween 4 is My favorite Horror movie all time… it’s the one that makes me love Halloween… the only knock I can except is the mask, which honestly until I started watching RUclips reviews I didn’t even notice growing up… it’s definitely a classic for me…. Love scream 4 too, not sure if it’s technically a classic but compared to other 4th movies I would say so… and honestly I think Leprechaun in Space is best leprechaun movie bc they are all bad , but this one was hilarious for how bad it was , so I’d give that kill 2 hours at least lol

I'm gonna say it right now FT13th part 4 is horror classic for me. My favorite of the franchise with all the slasher staples, good kills, good nudity, and memorable characters (mainly because of Crispin Glover and Corey Feldman)

While its not horrible per se, and is a very competently made film and has some good performances namely Sam Rockwell, its a movie that just begs the question.... "Why would I watch this when I could just watch the original?" Its not a shot for shot remake, but it kind of just does the same things as the original but not as good like the tree and the clown doll and the changes it makes feel a bit arbitrary and don't add much new to the film. It has good elements to it but at the end of the day, its just a generic haunted house movie and a mediocre remake of an amazing horror film in the original Poltergeist. And like you, I love and support reboots and remakes more than the more ignorant majority of the internet. Also when I am given the question of which is worse, a bad remake or a bad sequel, I will always go with bad sequel being worse because at least with a remake, its its own thing from the original whereas a bad sequel actually diminishes and takes away from the previous film as it tries to be a part of its legacy but ruins it if done wrong.
Actually Michael Caine did not take it seriously at all. He spent most of the shoot on the beach and when asked about it he says he's never watched it. All he says he was paid to have a month holiday in the Caribbean and that it paid for his house 🤣🤣

In my opinion the best movies in here are Halloween 4, Scream 4, Bride of Chucky and Evil Dead remake, that one is the best in the series, and I agree with you, Jill is the bestt Ghostface. Looking forward to watch the part 5 of this series youre doing
If Psycho 4 was the last Psycho movie ever it would have ended on a very satisfying note to Norman Bates’ story. Norman was always a tragic villain- someone who wasn’t a thrill killer or did it out of enjoyment. He was truly a broken and torn character who you wanted to see helped and rehabilitated. That is in no small part because of Anthony Perkins, who was able to convey that tragic and broken side to Norman Bates. In Psycho 4, it gave the audience real hope that Norman was truly going to be free of his demons and move forward. Just so sad that Anthony Perkins passed away two years later. I love Henry Thomas and the prequel stuff wasn’t terrible- but that was definitely the weakest part of Psycho 4. I still maintain that if Freddie Prinze Jr was cast as Norman Bates in the remake in 1998- that movie would have at least been watchable. Freddie had that quiet broken quality to him in I Know What You Did Last Summer that would have translated well into Norman Bates. Just my opinion but I stand by it haha.

The Fourth Purge movie “ The First Purge” is the second best out of all Purge films it goes over the origins of how the purge started as the government was trying to encourage inner city people living in poverty inside of a project building to kill themselves off the experiment wasn’t working so the government sent in Mercenaries the drug dealer was trying to fight off the government mercenaries.
Oh I totally understand the story they were trying to tell I just found it to be a very strange and unappealing decision to try and make a drug kingpin the hero of the story.
@@CodyLeachYT I didn’t like that at first either how the drug kingpin was the protagonist at the end but who else could they had made the protagonist? The teenage boy ? Or the drug addict Skelator? those were the only 2 other options to be the heroes of the movie.

How come you say Olivia has the goriest kill cause we’ve seen people getting gutted before with Steve and Casey in the original even tho I really love Olivia’s death it’s brutal especially with the first stab to the hand and how ghostface used her blood to paint the walls like oof great stuff.
It's so funny. I love The Next Generation because it's so bad. I was pretty much fully drunk off my ass watching that movie and it was the best experience I had in that franchise with a new entry. It's so stupid and weird that it doubles back to being good and charming (to me). I still don't know what they were doing with that movie but it's definitely a great "watch while drunk or high" movie.
Nightmare 4 is where surrealism and comedy took over the franchise. It is also disappointing that he killed off the remaining Dream Warriors. They could have developed their characters more for a fifth movie in which we are more emotionally evolved.

"The Predator" is like a giant collage of everything I hate about Hollywood movies. People always dog on Predator 2 but that was the first I ever saw and I love it just as much as the first, it's just different.
Leprechaun 4 is a God awful movie but the whole Dr. Mittenhand/Mittenspider thing is hilarious.
Growing up I thought I was the only person who knew Phantasm, nobody I knew at the time watched or had heard of it. So this is always a cult favourite of mine, I owned the DVD box set when DVDs were really fashionable (2002). Remembering back when I first saw the original Phatasm, the atmosphere and how they portrayed Angus Scrimm was very intimidating to me. Loved it.
I always remember Phantasm 3 which is quite goofy but I loved it. If I rewatched now (20 years later) I’m guessing I wouldn’t be as kind.
On another note, I have not seen the Evil Dead remake…I need to watch this with all the positive feedback I hear for this movie.
Hot take. I actually love and enjoy The Final Destination. For me it's my 2nd favorite in the franchise. And I do enjoy all of them. I don't understand or get CGI in movies. Because I don't notice them.
Alien: Resurrection has a lot of fun moments. It's certainly the goriest of the 4 movies. Love Ron Perlman in the movie and the other members of the cast. The set designs are awesome. The cloning chamber scene in this movie is still pretty hard to watch. Anyways, I enjoy this 4th part a lot more then the third movie (which also has its moments in my opinion).
The Candyman "sequel"/"remake"...nah...I found it to be s&#t!

Agree - that scene hounted me for years in nightmares. It was a really well-thought-out and terrifying concept plus great execution including believable emotions on the Weaver side. I also like the cast and the background. Unfortunately, the movie is uneven - in the same movie there is an idiotic scene with bullets or a twisted-exaggerated ending.
I honestly love Alien 3, it is very entertaining and has good cinematography, the prisoner characters like Mr. Clemens and Aaron and Dillon were pretty good to me, Ripley did great here and the film has an interesting and dark atmosphere, not to mention good alien action and dialogue as well a phenomenal music score that goes good in companion to the first two movies. To me it is a great conclusion. But Alien Ressureccion is abysmal, to me it's a disgrace to the franchise. The fact that it goes for a more comedic tone, Ron Perlman's character is nasty and unsimpathetic, the side characters don't add anything to the movie, and even though there is the cool water scene, the woman that dies in that scene was terrible, because she dies off screen. WTF? The movie is R rated, why kill this character off screen? But the most disappointing thing about this movie is Ripley's character, acting weird with those Alien personalities and romantic-like with the aliens is awful and so weird. Does not fit the character AT ALL. I'm not against different changes of ideas in franchises, but only if it's good and it works. To me, Ripley's weird behavior does not work for me because it feels weird and it does not suit her character at all. The ending when she feels bad for the Alien Human monster dying was terrible. Aliens killed her friends and Newt and the rest on the planet of Alien 3, why did she feel bad for this creature. Also the fact that the characters kept teasing Winona Ryder's character in some scenes was so annoying and unnecessary. Yeah Ressureccion is not very good in my opinion.
Not a big fan of either one...but part 4 is more watchable lol and it's total trash. That says a lot about part 3.
@@justinamenta7241 Yeah I can see why from that perspective but honestly when people and Alien fans ask me what I think about Ressureccion being the true ending to Ripley's story and the franchise, honestly I don't think it works very well.
@@hideandpride1891 Well, to answer your question as to why 'Ripley' acted weird and felt bad for the creature at the end of "Alien: Resurrection" is because for one, it wasn't the real Ripley. It was a freaking clone of her. And also, because the Xenomorph Queen's DNA was combined with the clone's DNA, too. Hence, the clone of Ripley was part Xenomorph and thus, has a connection/bond with the alien creatures.
@@fromtexas2734 Yeah I KNOW THAT. But it was unnecessary and unneeded in my opinion. Her story was well concluded in Alien 3. She doesn't have much to do in this movie and not a lot of action from her character like I expected. It was a weird and unnatural choice to do this to the character of Ripley. The film should've focused on the new characters to breed new "life" to the franchise.
As a massive fan of the franchise I honestly don't outright "hate" either one of 3 or Resurrection...they are both obviously a big drop from the first two but remember the first two films are among the best films ever made period...so it's a very high bar.
Jane Levy is awesome in the Evil Dead remake really good actress and I liked Zoey's playlist alot it was so different with them breaking out into song and dance in every episode,shouldn't have been canceled

Nightmare 4 is my personal favourite in the nightmare series along with 3 and 5 and I will defend it till the end. It’s criminally underrated, the visuals and soundtrack are peak for the series, and Alice’s arc is incredibly inspiring.
I agree, it’s underrated. After Nightmare 1, 3, and maybe FvJ, 4 is my favorite.
Especially compared to most of this fourthquels it deserved to be bloody good time

Halloween 4 is My favorite Horror movie all time… it’s the one that makes me love Halloween… the only knock I can except is the mask, which honestly until I started watching RUclips reviews I didn’t even notice growing up… it’s definitely a classic for me…. Love scream 4 too, not sure if it’s technically a classic but compared to other 4th movies I would say so… and honestly I think Leprechaun in Space is best leprechaun movie bc they are all bad , but this one was hilarious for how bad it was , so I’d give that kill 2 hours at least lol

I'm gonna say it right now FT13th part 4 is horror classic for me. My favorite of the franchise with all the slasher staples, good kills, good nudity, and memorable characters (mainly because of Crispin Glover and Corey Feldman)

While its not horrible per se, and is a very competently made film and has some good performances namely Sam Rockwell, its a movie that just begs the question....
"Why would I watch this when I could just watch the original?"
Its not a shot for shot remake, but it kind of just does the same things as the original but not as good like the tree and the clown doll and the changes it makes feel a bit arbitrary and don't add much new to the film.
It has good elements to it but at the end of the day, its just a generic haunted house movie and a mediocre remake of an amazing horror film in the original Poltergeist.
And like you, I love and support reboots and remakes more than the more ignorant majority of the internet.
Also when I am given the question of which is worse, a bad remake or a bad sequel, I will always go with bad sequel being worse because at least with a remake, its its own thing from the original whereas a bad sequel actually diminishes and takes away from the previous film as it tries to be a part of its legacy but ruins it if done wrong.
Actually Michael Caine did not take it seriously at all. He spent most of the shoot on the beach and when asked about it he says he's never watched it. All he says he was paid to have a month holiday in the Caribbean and that it paid for his house 🤣🤣

Why is horror so fascinating?
If Psycho 4 was the last Psycho movie ever it would have ended on a very satisfying note to Norman Bates’ story. Norman was always a tragic villain- someone who wasn’t a thrill killer or did it out of enjoyment. He was truly a broken and torn character who you wanted to see helped and rehabilitated. That is in no small part because of Anthony Perkins, who was able to convey that tragic and broken side to Norman Bates. In Psycho 4, it gave the audience real hope that Norman was truly going to be free of his demons and move forward. Just so sad that Anthony Perkins passed away two years later.
I love Henry Thomas and the prequel stuff wasn’t terrible- but that was definitely the weakest part of Psycho 4.
I still maintain that if Freddie Prinze Jr was cast as Norman Bates in the remake in 1998- that movie would have at least been watchable. Freddie had that quiet broken quality to him in I Know What You Did Last Summer that would have translated well into Norman Bates. Just my opinion but I stand by it haha.

The Fourth Purge movie “ The First Purge” is the second best out of all Purge films it goes over the origins of how the purge started as the government was trying to encourage inner city people living in poverty inside of a project building to kill themselves off the experiment wasn’t working so the government sent in Mercenaries the drug dealer was trying to fight off the government mercenaries.
Oh I totally understand the story they were trying to tell I just found it to be a very strange and unappealing decision to try and make a drug kingpin the hero of the story.
@@CodyLeachYT I didn’t like that at first either how the drug kingpin was the protagonist at the end but who else could they had made the protagonist? The teenage boy ? Or the drug addict Skelator? those were the only 2 other options to be the heroes of the movie.

How come you say Olivia has the goriest kill cause we’ve seen people getting gutted before with Steve and Casey in the original even tho I really love Olivia’s death it’s brutal especially with the first stab to the hand and how ghostface used her blood to paint the walls like oof great stuff.
Motivations, mostly nostalgia, and simply the fact that it's a JAWS movie is what keeps ANY JAWS movie out of "Slow Death" territory

It's so funny. I love The Next Generation because it's so bad. I was pretty much fully drunk off my ass watching that movie and it was the best experience I had in that franchise with a new entry. It's so stupid and weird that it doubles back to being good and charming (to me). I still don't know what they were doing with that movie but it's definitely a great "watch while drunk or high" movie.
Nightmare 4 is where surrealism and comedy took over the franchise. It is also disappointing that he killed off the remaining Dream Warriors. They could have developed their characters more for a fifth movie in which we are more emotionally evolved.
The Evil dead sequel to the reboot is filmed and done, and it comes out this year on HBO max! Evil Dead rise!
