For your first villagers, you find a peppy, a lazy, and a normal to move into the three houses you furnish for Tom Nook. Then when you get the campsite, a smug villager comes to move in. I got Sherb as my first lazy and got Julian as my smug campsite villager, so it can be a mixed bag. Also, are you going to have a new love interest for Mothman Island?

So excited for your new adventure. I had to start a separate island after my son learned to eat fruit, dig up trees/bushes, and put island furniture in his inventory. The final straw came when he wished my favorite villager the best on moving away. Upon starting a new island, I got Goose and Diva. I don't know if I set a world record in exiting and starting over but it was instant. Looking forward to your future videos.
Little tip for you Amanda: You actually can island hop for villagers when you get your first ticket! So when you start searching for more villagers, just give your character a lot of NMT if you want to search for anyone specific!

But doing this really made me wanna play again and motivated me to make a new island with a new theme! Also because I was not happy with my island name 🤣
Omg this is me to a T!! I didn’t like my island name or map anymore and I didn’t have money to buy a new switch so I just deleted my save data to do a new theme but I lost all my bells and diys!! This was in February and I’m still trying to build the perfect island.

Two of my plots auto filled (because I forgot they did that after you make all the furniture) with Chester and pinky, two pandas with Japanese themed houses. And the first villager I found on a island hunt was Gladys who also has a Japanese style house. I have no idea what theme it’ll be but the game seems to be pushing it’s theme on me so ima just go with it for now. I’m so excited to come along the journey with you!!!
I’ve been looking forward to the new island! I really like when people compliment their first NH island with a SH island, so it feels like you’re crossing the hemisphere itself when you travel. I love the idea of old Molokai villagers returning just to cause some chaos, or some new ones looking to get some time in the limelight. I’m just hoping beyond all hope you don’t get Rodney as your first campsite villager like I did. I realized weeks later I could just amiibo him out, but it really put a damper on the experience (especially bc I liked my first five villagers). Haven’t seen him in over a year, and I don’t think that’ll be changing anytime soon. My other question will be if Mothman turns out more chaotic than Molokai or less. Or maybe the two islands end up having beef with each other? There’s just too many possibilities to explore. Whatever ends up happening, I hope you have fun with it!
just so you know, if you ever want muffy’s real house and still keep her friendship level/memory of you/gifts you gave, you can! you just have to move her out, give her either to a friend you trust or your other switch, and then have her move out and you can take her back! it’s a lot easier now that you just have another switch so thought i’d recommend (especially since it’s muffy, the starter house just doesn’t compare heh)
