this is one of my favorite games on Quest 3. the oniy issue that I've had is the wonky hand interactions with the environments. you'll die in this game more often from bad physics than anything. If they would just polish up the gun and climbing physics they would heve a really solid game here.
Thanks for the re-review! VR games seems to always have some improved updates in the long run, so it's good to revisit them from time to time. Glad to hear about your view on it now.
I liked this game first time I played it. I played through it once and that was it. Hit detection needs work sometimes too
waiting for that behemot review
Stay tuned for some Behemoth goodness

Has anyone checked Mr. Voice review?? It is brutal 🤣
It’s brutal for sure
Apparently every reviewer's code was not how the game should look and Joyway claim it has been improved for the release code (resolution, LOD and lighting apparently) - will have to wait and see if that's true, but if it is I don't even know why they gave out codes that was going to get them poorer reviews.

🍑 🔪
Ayo😅
Came here for this lol
Thanks GT.
I'm assuming PSVR2 version will get a DFR update eventually. I'll wait until then
Hope so. I understand not everyone has Quest and PSVR2 but this isn’t a good representation of the PlayStation VR2 currently
Thanks GT. I'll just stick with the Quest version for now. If they update the PSVR2 or after a deep sale ill check it out on PSVR
So it's fun but pretty easy? Is there a difficulty setting?
I do wish they'd kept an endless mode.. maybe that'll be added later. Defo gonna pick it up
Theres only 2 difficultys but both are easy
PCVR version out tomorrow
Sick of these quest ports instead of pc on psvr2. Yet another let down I was interested in..
Ugh another game I was looking forward to that ill probably pass on till I get completely desperate. Thanks for the review.
It's on sale now for 30% off (use May30 at checkout) until May 27th. I'll probably pick it up as I liked Stride but wanted more of a story.
GT have u seen Mr VR Voice’s review of the game! 😮 his really showcases just how bad the NPCs really are…u need to watch its hilarious
I haven’t. Good channel though. I would put his Stride Fates video against my Bulletstorm
He's hilarious . Just saw the video . The part where he mocks the game for being technical then shows an npc punching his baseball bat then showing the npc knocked unconscious .
Looks like a game designed to allow you play out the fantasy of being 'this guy' the way you exactly want. I don't mind games like this, but 30$ is a big ask for this kind of quality on PSVR2.
Solid review
You the man! Hope people checkout your video too!
I shall be waiting for sale
hey, i have both psvr and quest 3 but i don’t know what to buy, what should i buy?
If you really want the game go Quest 3
I recommend checking out The Burst demo. Lots of fun and lots of mobility.
I should be getting the pcvr version for free apparently (I bought stride on steam when it came out)...looking forward to this
I know what you meant, but complaining that a parkour game is "Just going through the motions" is funny to me.
And I don't hate the headshot frenzy vibe. Kind of makes me feel like free-running John Wick.
Or like that shootout towards the end of WANTED.
Sounds like a "wait for sale"
Its almost like Meta is financing these psvr2 ports 😅. Was getting this day one. Remember folks, no DFR no buy.
Another game to skip on release. Why almost every game released on PSVR 2 has too many flaws... The game does not look attractive at all. Few enemies, repetitive scenarios, bad gun physics. What a disappointment.
Thanks for the review.
It's not even the PSVR2's fault but more of the game's, the game is rated 6 at most, much lower in everything compared to other games.
This developer is an actual scammer. They just to have nice trailers for hype and get money from unsuspecting, casual gamers.
Games are fun and mostly cheap, just wait till the game is out and look at people playing it. Nothing is really a scam you just choose to follow a company with low levels of quality assurance, go dunk on studios with more money that release objectively shit feeling games for $70 and then have the audacity to have DLC
@@notqunt1671 Oh absolutely, big studios do this too. Some developer actually try. But Devs like these guys and EA with battlefield purposefully deliver bad games. Big or small, no developer should get a pass on this.
@@vagabanda11 okay but the difference is EA games feel like having your nuts stomped after you got robbed, these guys make games that just feel janky but that doesn't feel on purpose, the worst you can say is they innovate too much without putting the money in to make it work 100%, again their games are pretty fucking cheap so I still don't see how this is at all comparable to $70 boring repetitive games that then ask you for even more money to get the content they were too lazy to finish or worse that they specifically created to be DLC. Comparing this company to EA is laughable and shows a lack of knowledge on the modern gaming landscape if these are the mother fuckers you're ranting about being scammers, the guys making actually fun and unique VR games. They're not perfect but they are significantly more perfect then like 75% of the gaming industry
Nice one GT
Cheers man. Hope everything’s good your end
@GAMERTAGVR all good bruvva ❤️
great review
Thank you Lars
starting by saying it released on pcvr when it didn't is kinda :/
I just saw that the PC version came out but no one is talking about it wtf
the same way flat2vr is handeling vr ports, we need a studio that specializes in vr enemy ai (assuming the reason the ai is always bad in vr games is vr related... although doubtful)
Resident Evil 4 remake had great AI, so really there is no excuse
Ugh another one to cross off the Wishlist
Oh no not the butt stab
😂😂 weak point confirmed
so its shite, thanks for the for the honesty even if you never said that.
Why compare it to the other versions when you already know foveated rendering etc. Have yet to be put in the game.
Technically the PSVR2 is more powerful than Quest 3 so really there’s no reason I wouldn’t expect to see the same or better on PSVR2 without those technologies
@GAMERTAGVR which makes it even more strange that it's not more consistently out performing its competition even without the tech. But, I'm under the impression that these vr companies are just too new at game development. I also suspect meta has some type of backroom deals with these companies.
Looks like they need an artist on the team, pretty ugly looking isn't it
Refuse to buy half arsed ports anymore. After seeing what can be done on psvr2 I'm not buying half arsed crap
Super true. If I was a developer with a chance to release on PSVR2 I would do my best to make that version awesome
@@GAMERTAGVR it's almost like I've heard some people say as if meta has paid the Devs to mess it up on purpose.
Didn't expect much from this after the psvr version, and if psvr2 version is as bad as quest 2 then I'm out .... Thanks for nothing joyway
Is this a review of the accidental build release on PSVR2 or the new build they sent out today? Pretty ridiculous a headset running on PS5 looks worse than a headset running on Android. Espire 1 all over again, but even worse. I may as well have bought the Quest version months ago as at least I could have played it outside. I see you did not mention adaptive Triggers, headset rumble and advanced haptics. Is there any Sense controller features in the PSVR2 new build version may I ask? I have asked Joy Way three times on Reddit and Discord and they never answer haha.
The PC VR version is being released tomorrow and did not release when Quest version released as stated in the re-review. Thanks for the review.
🗿
5:05 Holy what the??? The quest 3 version looks MUCH better! How....
I.....
Wow, it's shocking how they messed up a console port harder than a mobile port, oh well. Ancient dungeons it it for me then.
🤦♂️ I was thinking, for so long, that DEVs didn’t want to release on PSVR2 cause of the lack of units in the wild, but the further into 2024 we get; I know believe it’s cause (said DEVs) aren’t able to get their games to work properly on the hardware, which has me questioning so much of my fav game genre and its future, on the platform I actually have. N e ways, great vid and as always: GG GT! 👊😎
Im so tired of this. Always the same story, i couldn't play more than 2-3 hours of the game. Its just bad for me.
We need HELLDIVERS on PSVR2!
Man that’s why I don’t get hyped for psvr2 games anymore , I’ve mostly went back to flat gaming , we are constantly getting devs just pushing anything out on the system , the psvr2 deserves better than this type of shit.
I'm a huge fan of the original stride (and I didnt need the type of multiplayer they added, but I'm grateful) and for me that game is a must buy. But this Fates looks pretty lame. It really looks like an fps of the Quake 2 era, like SiN, Blood or something. Judging from your footage, the Quest 3 version looks very good but the PSVR2 version looks awful with ver low poly NPCs.
Thief simulator graphics and frame rate sucks too . Getting annoyed with all these lame ports . Recently .
