    Been carrying my Xmacro as my primary CCW for almost 2 years in my Phlster Enigma and I havent had rust issues, just wipe your gun down with ballistol or whatever gun lubricant at the end of the day if its in your waist band instead of just leaving it in your holster overnight. It takes 30 seconds, if your gun is rusting ,well its on you not the gun.

    I’ve been carrying p365 x with the suppressor height sights and Holosun 507k everyday for the last two years and not an ounce of rust and I train with it and I rarely clean it.

    i just bought a p365 and opened up to replace the trigger to flat and found rust all inside the FCU.. This is a brand new gun .. I called SIG and they said send us the gun... sigh... this is going to be the longest 2 weeks of my life lol

      @@TriggerTalesTV I believe it’s a batch with sets of bad barrels that rust and cause everything else to after. But yes it’s terrible to go through.

    I have 4 P365s in varying versions. 2 from 2021 and 1 2023, 1 I just bought. Everyday I carry in either my pocket or IWB. Zero rust. But, I do maintain my firearms. Wipe them after carry, clean them after every shooting session. I use CLP.
    Not saying you, but I think some people just don’t maintain their firearms properly. And, some people do have a more acidic body chemistry.

      I do the same. I clean my handguns at least 2 to 3 times a week just out of discipline and never run into rust issues. A good CLP wipedown and maintenance a few times a week is essential in keeping a clean, functioning EDC.

    I picked up my p365 12/2023. I've had about seven range sessions with it, one in the rain. About 1600 rounds. I love the gun but I'm worried about the rust. I'm using Clenzoil as a clp. We'll see how this works out.

      How much do you actually carry it though. Rust is mostly cause by sweat from carrying.

    I’m no expert, by any stretch … but years ago, you’d use solvent to clean, then oil. Could there be an issue with the clp people use now days? (Cleaner and oil combined?) I bought my first bottle like 9 months ago, and it completely ate away the entire label, so you can’t even read it anymore … 🤷🏻‍♂️

    You hear all kinds of 'rust issues' in these posts. Some may be legit, others not so much.
    Some poeple have really corrosive sweat. If they appendix carry, and sweat a lot, theyll have problens - especially if you're around air conditioning a lot - like in a vehicle with the blower hitting your gun with cold air - it's probably going to cool your gun lower than outside air temp. You get out of your vehicle on a hot humid day and your likely going to get condensation on your gun. You wont know it, because it's in your holster. That condensation will mix with sweat and start eating at the parts of your gun that aren't stainless steel... Like sights, barrels, magazines and some springs which are carbon steel on guns like the X-Macro. You get multilple hot/cold cycles creating condensation on them and mixed with sweat they will eventually rust if not wiped down with protectant. I use G96 Gun Treatment. Spray it on a rag and wipe the gun down every week or so on carry guns. Think about it - appendix carry is a relatively new practice, like in the last 10 to 15 years. Carrying in that positionin all day, every day invites exposure to a lot of condensation and moisture. More so than OWB carry which used to be the norm. A lot of you guys also have the gun and holster up against bare skin, which increases the likelihood of rust. Youre free to buy and carry whatever you want. Just don't be so quick to blame rust on the manufacturer. Ive carried a 365XL and then X-Macro every day for going on 5 yeers. No rust.

    When they replace parts such as the barrel, do they give you another part and use the same serial number as the rest of the gun or do you end up with mismatched serial numbers?

    • @bigredman31
      @bigredman31 2 месяца назад

      The fcu is the only serialized part on a p365 so the new barrel and grip module won’t matter as far as matching numbers. Hope that answers your question

    Best solution for a rusting Sig is buying something else. Thanks for saving me some money.

      The sig is expensive shouldn't be rusting. I have a $200 Taurus for 7 years Then I carried everyday in the Florida heat and humidity and it never rusted.. Hopefully sig gets their act together and they might be as good asTAURUS 😂😂😂
