Great video, it's simple. Prop forms are in to make money, so decent service and professional processes are a must for them. Lots of new traders simply get on with wrong expectations.

Thanks bro for sharing your experience personally one of the things that made me stick to FTMO is the the Mentor app… as a retail trader trading on my own i need to stay accountable for myself and my performance and the Mentor app helped me stick to my loss limit and trades taken everyday to stop losing much on bad days and Going on tilt and overtrading which is like in a prop environment when you have a risk manager.. this feature by it self made the price worth it…they truly care about traders becoming their best ..

I was currently testing it out to see if I can meet the objectives on the free trial. I risked 1% but my TPS were too good that I hit the target in just 2 trades. Would they accept this in the real challenge after I open 0.01 trades to hit the minimum trades?

Me also...it is a challenge that you need to prove your trading skills and mentality...currently I am doing with my verification and 2nd repeat after around 10 failed challenges with some 100k...it is a journey for me also towards a realistic goal and not an easy as quick scheme to have a cashflow of a certain % of profit...I doing also verification with similar strategy with MFF which in the beginning I consider that would be similar as new firm same like what happened with funding talent...Thanks for sharing and Goodluck with your trading journey

I have asked the FTMO's support. They confirmed that once you get funded, every 30 days if you're in profit, whether you choose profit rollover or withdrawal, your will get a new funded account at the end as well as all the open trades closed. That totally violates the purpose of their swing account. Are all the other prop firms like that? Why has nobody talked about it since not all the traders are day trading.

@@kosickf112Yep, all traders' accounts are simulated.
Being able to swing trade for an entire month. Then them providing same funds the next month… the only thing you need to worry about is closing trades before FTMO does. That’s not a scam.
@@sacr4450 In proper swing trading, usually bad trades only last a few days, and good trades will last a week or more (sometimes weeks). The longer your trades are, the more they have moved away from your stop loss. Closing all trades every month means you will left with more bad trades and lose some potential good ones.
I had a question, if I open a trade and my trade enters a floating loss of 1%, but if it is closed with a profit, will this floating loss be calculated for the total monthly loss?

I'm doing my math and with a 400k account. you can get 2 Millon in funding if you stay consistent with FTMO for about 5 years. Hey Jose, the cap on FTMO is $2M per trader, so you can scale all the way up to $2M. With MFF scaling is unlimited

No, they do not. And MyForexFunds uses Deel

for me as a position trader im not choosing FTMO because their system and rules doesn't make sense for me..when i asking the live chat customer support they said i need to closed all my open position at the end of the month either profit or loss their reason because the company want to calculate for profit spilt..the funny part is they cannot calculate profit split from all my closed position..LOL..then every month need to log in new account..so dont call it swing acc if the rule like this..
Is there anything you can recommend with the terms you've stated?
Do you think that FTMO prefers a certain type of trader? I have a 1:1 RRR but higher success rate of 74%. Their analysis in the free trial was always talking about having a higher RRR and that a high success rate can change over time. Do you have any thoughts?
I was funded 25k with FTMO and it was awesome from the beginning to the end. I maxed the drawdown (10%) and lost the account in three weeks due to the get rich mentality hitting once I became funded. I will continue to use FTMO they have the best customer service. Simple.

No specific target, but you have a max drawdown of 10%

Well... this is not really the way it looks. It is nice Kimmel disclouse he is not funded at the moment. But the video is one big adverstisement of his referall link. FTMO great, so proffessional, so innovative, the best company in the world!. The video is definitely not a review, cause there is no real information during the whole video.

I was looking at MFF but chose FTMO. MFF has much better terms but that weird 5% drawdown rule was a huge nono for me, glad it worked out for you at MFF!

@@chunwei4201 Because you can't go more than 5% in drawdown on even open trades. I don't want to be always monitoring my open trades so that they don't hit the 5% drawdown, doesn't fit good with the strategy that I am trading.

So when you get funded. You are never allowed to go below 10% DD? Eg) you can trade for 6 months and be under 10%DD and month 7 you do 11% DD and you loose the account?
Not necessarily, let’s say your up 16% on month 7 and lose 11% , you’ll be fine but if your at 9% DD and u lose 2% by the 7th month yea you’ll lose the account

Taking the challenge can be done when you feel confident that you have an edge that can make you pass the challenge. That’s most of it. If you are confident, then there is really no problem in going for a prop firm. If you pass, or you fail, doesn’t matter, because you are going to get a lot of different types of trading experience, which is going to take you to the next level
If you are just breaking through you should not rush it in my opinion. I would give it a year of consistency before jumping in.
I get slippage of 2 points or so each side i.e entry and/or stopp loss being hit when I trade indices. Shit brokerage.

My friend and I basically learn from the same RUclips channel which goes into details and specifics for strategies and if we both have an ftmo account and are trading the strategy we learnt then could we get banned ??
If this is true I think that’s unfair because theres an abundance of traders who all learn from similar sources so it’s only logical that the prop firms will get traders with similar strats

I do both challenges FTMO and MFF and was curious. I finish the trial 10k and 25k in a week both separate, but was losing my real challenge in the end. On MFF I was doing the best performance so far, i think it’s because i know I got an extension if I don’t finish it in 30days or can let me time etc. But FTMO now got that extension also. And year MFF is cheaper but in the end it depends

Say im 10 trade days into my 100k aggressive account, being i dont break the daily drawdown at any point. does FTMO allow you to withdrawl partial profits, even if you have yet to pass the challenge?
From what I saw on the website, you have to first hit the 10% goal, verify the challenge that it was passed then you can withdraw that 10%. You can’t withdraw let’s say 7% and your still on your first challenge.
If you pass the challenge criteria before the 30 days in each stage do you automatically pass to next stage?
Yes, if you have the minimum trading days

I know many people don't realize this but the account sizes are not the true risk capital. The drawdown is. If you have $100k account you can only risk $12k of it. Therefore it's still a good deal but realize you are getting mostly buying power and risk capital is just the $12k.
How many times are you going to comment that, not understanding that even though it is KINDA true, it is mostly false. If you stick to the risk management, you are going to be trading the % of risk of the WHOLE account, meaning that you will be having returns from the whole account…it doesn’t matter the true risk capital. That’s simply a rule. You shouldn’t breach it and that’s it…you have a 100k account, with rules, and that’s simply how it works…
@@KimmelTrading I will say it until people get it. It's not kinda true, it is true and I'll tell you why. You are risking 1% per trade of an "account" that you only can risk $12k of. So really you are risking 8%/trade of your risk capital. You only have 12 trades you can lose back to back. This is no different than if I deposit $12k in a high leverage broker and risk 8% per trade there. Same $1000 per trade I am risking and same only 12 trades in a row I can lose. So don't try to tell me it's the same as having $100k in an account for real cuz it's not. Do you think MFF truly puts $100k in each account? No they don't. Use your brain.

No, it is not
They wouldn't know as long as you have 1 account. I've got copy trading cloud software so I know you can sign in from different IP under 1 login. As long as you're not copying trades into different accounts from others you'll be fine

You have to pass the FTMO challenge to be funded, which you pay for…
But I believe if you pass the challenge then they give you your money back, if you don’t pass the challenge but was at least in the positive then you get free retry at the challenge. (Or at least that’s the way it used to be)

How do I set stop loss?
Before setting the Buy or Sell (can also be set after), there’ll be an SL (Stoploss) option and you can type in where you would be happy with losses there :)

Mff is cheaper but do y'all realize you have to wait an entire month AFTER you've received your live account before you can even receive your first pay out. I feel that's entirely too long. Most firms are like two weeks, not 30 days.

my forex funds is very hard for scalpers, the spreads can jump RIDICULOUSLY to take you out, i use 0.5 / 1 pip stop losses and often you will see spread for EU go to 0.5 which is NOT normal. FTMO does NOT do this. GU even spikes above 1 spread in market hours. its a joke for scalpers. be warned, FTMO is consistent , i'd recommend scalpers to use them instead.

You don’t get 100k, you only get the daily loss basically. The number is made up, but it makes traders feel good, it’s just psychological.

Compared to a personal account where if you blow you lose 20k of your money basically i can lose 15 ftmo 200k accounts with your 20k capital. Who cares about a 20% more profit when you loss potential is that bad
You do get 100k . There is some points you people miss ... first is leverage , second is risk ... if you deposit 20k of your own money will you get the same levarage and risk the same amount of money that you would on ftmo with a 100k account ???
@marcioborgesreis9066 ftmo you get better risk and leverage in my opinion. You get access to 10k risk on ftmo by paying 500 dollars if i lose o lose 500 dollars when you deposit 10k into a broker and lose you lose 10k. That 10k that you lost you can buy 20 100k accounts.

what would be nice that I have never seen.... is when someone reviews these prop firms.... if they actually told us how much money they made over the course of a year or two years while using them. Since the number of people who make it to their first payout is usually less than 5% statistically, do these traders make the big bucks over the course of a year or two using prop firms?
