hey corey, awesome video, especially the title just a tip from a random dude i think you should turn your voice capture up and the game audio down a bit
Boneworks was one of the first VR titles I ever played and I have nostalgia for it similar to Minecraft. But Bonelab isn't the same at all, it feels like we waited for it to release, just to feel like we're waiting for something else. Kinda spoilers, but the campaign is pretty surface level when it comes to lore, and it mostly just shows off some things already introduced in Boneworks, except for the ben10 watch, I guess. It feels like a buildup to a better game (like boneworks), but we don't get any updates for either Bonelab itself, or if a sequel is actually in the works. It feels like I paid for a demo of the full game, that's really drawn out by minigames to keep you interested and promises for cool tools for modders, but it never comes. I really, REALLY want to love Bonelab, but that's just because I loved Boneworks.
i love how the update that overhauled it came out 5 days after this video 💀bonelaib is my favorite game tho and has been due to its mods. also there is more after the first level you have to do a crane mini game. maybe look up a tutorial but they did make it easier to figure out in patch 4 (also boneworks has been ported to bonelab with a mod and it is good but it broke because of the update) and i really recommend you try the mods
Bonelab patch 4 dropping today Also there is a full boneworks port in bonelabs so if you have a quest with no computer its a good alternative and i think it makes the price worth it
bonelab is arguably better than boneworks in terms of gameplay and mod support. like you can literally play full ports of boneworks and duck season in bonelab
you gotta get the multiplayer mod and play with Habie also the actually campaign is pretty mid, but without mods is the most fun part of the game (besides the physics)
The fact you managed to go into this game completely blind (no pun intended) is super surprising considering this was so popular the first few months it came out. You also only played one level of the campaign and missed out on the defining fetures of this game
Leaderboards should require the same vetting as Speedruns for global times. Too much cheating happens and it entirely ruins the point of a leaderboard.
I had a very enjoyable time with this game and I think it was because i went in expecting it to be just a thing made for modding thats what i was told it was before release and after so I was ready for a smaller story that shows' off the systems and then wait for mods to do there thing, I mean when I saw the title was Bonelab I immediately thought "oh okay so its just like a playground to play with their vr systems in" but I think the main problem I have is that mods haven't done much yet maybe people just modded everything they wanted to in Boneworks idk... also why the fuck were you shooting with one hand it was the most disturbing thing a have ever seen. because I saw someone else comment on it, you do know there is more then those minigames right? there's like 6 hours of campaign and you showed like 1/4
No hate but your gameplay is abysmal. Anyhow, i dindt really had problems with the vanilla game although i really wanted a campaign more similar to bonework's one but i get that there where many limitations on the quest. As a game developer i can understand why they did this and i also get that i and other people in the game making industry cant expect everyone to understand what happens in the background. I see so many people get mad at companies/indie game developers for not making something, they think that it is easy and they dont understand what truly happens but thats the point, we cant expect players to understand and just let things happen, they are paying for a game and they want it to be perfect. If i make a game and some players cant get through it, no matter how painfully obvious it is, i cant tell those players that they are dum or that they dont know how to play, its my job to make it clear to most people what should happen, where they should go and how to beat a lvl or how a mechanic works. Also a big problem with bonelab is that they still havent given us all the tools that we need to make good mods, moders had to make their own sdk and for a game that is supposed to be mod focused that is very bad. This game could have been the best vr game on the market like boneworks was but this time it would be on all platforms. People are harsh , but its their money and time getting wasted , both parties are at fault , you cant expect a perfect video game coming on all platforms and the devs cant be letting important things out of the game.
Yea I'm not expert when it comes to mod tools and stuff but that's definitely what I meant when I said the developers don't seem to be interested In enabling molders.
the games almost been released for 2 years, and i think they've released one update. or is it still in beta? after my game got corrupted and ruined all my progress and mods i gave up on it, bonelab is truly a waste of money, all my opinion though
welcome to the bone lab capt'n. morale is low these days. but get the multiplayer mod and its the best friend slapper out there

They are past the first sandbox right?

I think I'd agree the gameplay definitely feels more refined than the original.

I'll talk to him about it!
Surprised you didn't even mention the bodyswap watch thing. You do know there's more campaign after the sandbox area, right?
Yea there's 4 different ones right?
No, 6 and 2 levels after that. There's also various avatars you can unlock, and put into the watch at avatar kiosks.
@salt9485 oh is that how the gacha balls play in?
@@LCTVLIVE did you play the campaign? you would have done the levels for each of them
@godzillavr I thought I did. I kinda got super sidetracked in the first playground area
OH thats why your voice sounded familiar
Ope
