Frankly I wouldn't call Hermitcraft an SMP at this point, its more of just a megabuild flex showcase that happens to be in survival, the flow is unlike your usual SMP game
@@syrelian it’s an SMP, it’s just the fact that more recent SMPs aren’t really SMPs, a majority being closer to RPs, titled as an SMP for more views
Neither Hermitcraft or many of the more recent SMPs are really “true” SMPs.

This was definitely a lot easier for me to personally digest than other big-name SMPs because it was a lot more playing the game than telling a story. It was nice and casual, and I feel like that's an energy we all need these days.
Yeah, nobody really does normal smps anymore, they're all just filled with lore and it makes it just makes it kinda boring.
I swear the other smps are like debating courts, they have to review so much lore before even TALKING with someone. So boring.

I think that's because their content is mostly building while other smps aren't as build heavy
The thing is that the Hermits function differently compared to most Minecraft RUclipsrs in that they actually know how to make more long term goals for themselves.
Damn, this looks like an amazing SMP. I can only imagine how epic and cool all the members are 😎

Is nice to see an SMP that uses Mods aswell as incorporating a story into it without it being too big of a focus. I'm excited to see how this progresses :D
Set up dispensers with bone meal in them around a red mushroom under the portal, and hook it up to trip wires. If anyone goes in, the portal self destructs.

It's pretty easy, just put a bed under the end portal and push them in, when they respaen/leave the end they will be instantly teleported back in

I'm curious as someone who has been trying to develop a way to make the skin face icons by a player's name in chat, how do you do that? Is there a plugin I could download, or a datapack? A script I could use? Also, nice video! I am surprised that Fundy showed up in your chat, that is amazing. I can't wait to see more
there is a mod called chat heads for fabric maybe you can start there ?

God those Echoes at the end speech felt like it could have been from a good movie or show. The talk, the decision, the groups forming friendships and the wrong man dying. It was certainly interesting.
It's really hard for me to pay attention to streams or live/uncut footage but your content still keeps me intrieged, so even if I miss one, I always watch the vod. For many years I wanted to see an SMP where people add or create mods as it goes so I was very happy when I saw the notification for ep.1. You guys literally made a dream come true and I can't wait for the next one! :D
It's actually really nice of Rat to prevent everyone from ending the server, but I think astronyu has a point about destroying the end portal.
The real chad move would have been to go to the End, load up on shulkers, elytra, endstone, chorus, get the dragon egg, all the End exclusives. THEN destroy the last portal and have the most OP monopoly on the server.
But then they become the equalivent to the end, he's trying to prevent server death by stopping people going to the end period.
love how astronyu is being dramatic while rat is acting like he outside of consquences and completely relaxed.

I think some of the mods are patroon mods, so he can’t reveal the mods.
This really lives up to the Content name. So much activity with an SMP and the chaos of custom mods is the perfect combination
Saw you start content smp and was really excited but don’t like livestreams so this was the perfect thing to wake up to
The visceral NOOO when the baby creeper was killed...
The reason most servers end after beating the end is because you are getting the feel of finishing your quest on the server. Its not the fact that destroying the end portals keeps the server alive, its that you have some more stuff to do before ending your journey.

i simply wonder how you managed to generate only three strongholds? i know the basics of what you did but i’d like to know the more technical stuff so i can do it on my smp (i use yung’s better strongholds aswell)
whether someone helps me or not, i just wanted to say thank you to the content smp members for creating such entertaining and fun content.

Besides the obvious difference in avatars
Fundy and Rat have their own unique aspects
Like Fundy makes entire maps of code for torture and Rat makes mods of code
Also for torture but it would be cool to see em collab on a project

The end of the smp is very close after reaching the end, meanwhile hermitcraft is the strongest smp out there and doesnt really get started until everyone has elytra and a few dozen shulker boxes

Hey doctor4t you might wanna look into the Emancipation effect and make another player disassociate and then jump into their body and become them also make sure to hide your original body.
Edit: Check out the wiki it explains more things like obelisks and soul vessels.
Edit 2: I didn't realize you made the mod oops well at least you know how to work everything then if you want to get rid of someone permanently giving them penance III permanently(I don't know how to get penance III) and trap them in an obsidian box they can never escape.
Edit 3: Ok checked and you can for some reason you can phase through obsidian so you need another way to trap the dead guys in a way they can't phase which is probably by coding your own mod or just changing the config

most of the mods used are private and are exclusive so a lot of them you wouldn't be able to get

smp's that i play on the end is usually not the end, like then it becomes way more fun for people because then people can get elytra's, new building blocks, a faster exp farm and stuff like that.

You could remove all the lava and stonebricks from the portal room and fill the whole thing with deepslate/stone so the portal room is completely hidden and you know where it is (get the coordinates).
Rat is a tragic villian. in his persuit to keep everyone from leaving, he ended up pushing everyone away
Adding a mod that adds post-game bosses is the best way for this server to survive.

I originally thought that the purpose of destroying them is just prolonging the smp’s life cuz technically you can just add mods later on when the smp is dicidedly finished to remake the end portals

did not expect the last one. For sure a way to make the game more interesting but now you need to get rid of eyes of ender somehow
