Well yes, joy boy used his power to make emeth be able to use the haki of joy boy, he probably used his power for the ancient weapons that made him flood the earth. And maybe poseidon can drain it? Idk
I don’t have a theory about the One Piece, but I think there will be one more Luffy backstory that tells what his dream is. And in classic Oda style, it will redefine a lot of content we saw until that point.
Fun Fact the Original Linie Aquavits (From Norway where the Wiking comes from) needed to go 40.000 km around the world to drink it maybe the bink sake is inspired by it Why does every bottle of the original Norwegian “Linie Aquavit” have 40,000km behind it before it is drunk? Answer: According to legend, a cargo of aquavit was shipped to Australia in 1850 to a customer. However, the customer had died and the ship sailed back to Norway, where it was discovered that the aquavit now tasted better than before it left for Australia. Today, the procedure is as follows: This schnapps is brewed in Oslo. It is then stored for a year in Spanish cherry wood barrels. It is then transported to Australia and then back to Norway. In the process, the aquavit crosses the equator twice (“Linie” is Norwegian for equator). Only then is it shipped from Norway.
I imagine that it's something that can only be unlocked or used by someone that has eaten the Nika fruit. The Roger pirates laughed because they had no way to use the treasure they found, and they found it hilarious
This might be overly imaginative, but as a kid I had this elaborate idea for the chapter that reveals what the One Piece is having one continuous solid panel across all of its pages to show an obscenely large pile of stuff(gold and treasure, poneglyphs, high tech tools, etc) like the gold pile Smaug sleeps on in the Hobbit.
I think one reason why the one piece is so enigmatic is that perhaps Oda himself may have changed his idea of what the one piece is over the story spanning two decades. It evolved in complexity from just a stereotypical pirate treasure into a global event.
And the guy stranded is waving his arms but you just keep sailing by and act like you didn’t see him and watch him break down and fall to his knees knowing he won’t be rescued
The One Piece is a kids time capsule that has 'don't open until X date' on the front of it. Roger and his crew were just too early. You can't argue with cryptic instructions written in crayon
Luffy would still be in the right time, why would shanks and gold roger friends do allat (protecting, raising and helping luffy) if they werent expecting joy boy to come in the next 20 years
I like the theory that the one piece is millions of barrels of quality sake, and the reason Roger's crew was early was because it wasn't finished fermenting (even though sake tends to ferment quickly, and doesn't age well compared to other alcohols, but hey it's a large quantity of high quality fictional sake). Upon discovering the one piece, Luffy decides to divvie it all to every island and nation, essentially throwing one giant party for the entire world and making everyone stawhats. In light of recent events, I think the "drain the ocean" theory is probably more likely, but the sake theory is still a fun idea. And who knows, maybe it'll be both.
In my head I saw the sake as their version of 8 Purification Sake. For those of you who haven't played _Ōkami_ it's the sake that got Yamata no Orochi drunk.
7:02 would drop the red line and connect all the seas which would also give way to the “All blue” sanji has been searching for. I know he’s not the mc but this could be an added benefit for finding the one piece connecting all and luffy becoming the most free person possible.
Have we ever considered that the "D." initial stands for drowned? It could be the "Will of the Drowned" for everyone who died smiling during the original flooding, as they would have likely been the enemies of the 20 kingdoms if they drowned during the flood.
@@Leonbjrs hey, that's not a bad question. One explanation could be that it was an initial that was taken on as a sort of code or calling card by those that didn't die. Maybe Lili took it on after the flood? That could be why Imu apparently wasn't aware of it and became so enraged when he learned about her having the initial. Or it could also just be that it was around before the flood and means something else entirely 😊
There's also a 4th criteria, it has to be something that is only ready right when Luffy is arriving, because the Roger pirates commented how they had arrived too soon to actually reap any benefit from the One Piece other than their treasure actually being the friends they made along the way, and also a gut busting punchline to warm their hearts at the end of that way. I think the sake bottle is actually on the right track, Vegapunk mentioned how the tech of the void century far outpaced even what he had achieved, so what I think the One Piece is, and what Luffy's one true dream is, is an endless source of food and drink to engulf the world in a never ending celebration of life with. We already saw a hint of this, when Luffy knocked out Kaido he declared that he wants to make a world where his friends can eat anything and however much they want. While Dragon wants to unite the world by striking down the tyrants, Luffy will achieve it by giving the world the means to live like those tyrants do without any of the violence and oppression needed to make it possible. He'll free the world by feeding it!
The only reason I don't think its this is because Luffy falls asleep whenever history is discussed, so while it would be a great reward for Robin, Luffy would not care for it.
It is a world map produced during Joy Boy's adventures. It shows the interesting places of Joy Boy's time (Roger lamenting not being born then to explore it), it proves the world is flooded (recognizable landmarks), adds necessary context to anything described on or spoken by the poneglyphs (the journey before and after retrieving Oden), and is a satisfying reward that Luffy would want to explore with his Nakama. Zoro gets to travel with his vest idiot. Nami gets a bigger, more detailed world to draw. Usopp gets more tales to tell to more people in more places where he can prove his bravery. Chopper gets easier access to more people and ingredients to continue medicine.Robin gets a complete world's history to document. Franky gets access to new architectural and technological finds. Brook gets to keep playing for his captain. Jimbei gets fishman island on the surface in a much more feasible way. Depending on how the oceans receded, there may be a single ocean stocked by the old ocean's entire body of life, an All-Blue for Sanji to visit. This is all on the assumption that they then go on to make this theoretical treasure a reality via whatever mechanism undoes it.
My simple and ludicrous theory is this: the One Piece is a giant rubber drain plug. By claiming the One Piece, it drains the excess water of the world, thus making the world one piece of land again as it was during the void century. This would also technically make sense because Joyboy himself was known to be the last known person to ever have awakened GumGum powers which means he could have easily made such a device, and we know that he lived during the war of the void century during which the world was flooded. It's ridiculous enough to make everyone laugh, and in an abstract way gives Luffy a tangible power. The one caveat to this, however, is Roger. One aspect of Roger's tale that we don't always think of is that Roger never actually used or "took" the One Piece. Why is that? It's easy to say that Roger didn't think it to be the proper time, but this is only part of the story. It's very likely that the One Piece was something Roger not only "didn't" use, but also "couldn't" use. My theory goes along the lines that the One Piece not only has to be something worthwhile for all parties involved, but something only Luffy, being the quote on quote "reincarnation" of Joyboy, can use. Thus that's the caveat to my theory, because Roger would definitely have the strength to pull a rubber plug....idk, but that's my own theory.
What if he laughed because he realized that he couldnt because he didnt have the gum gum powers, and to have his will and what he did not for nothing he said to shanks to find the gumgum fruit, to garp to raise who he wanted to be joy boy (ace, but it ended up being luffy), and to his allies, (rayleigh, the dude inside laboon i forgot the name) help and protect him, and shirohige protect him too
What if one piece was the whole manga series itself, and roger read the 1000+ chapter and laughed, also it has truth of the world, void century . It will also give us the readers an access to one piece
That is something Oda would scoff at as well. It's a trope I have read in books far too much, that the ending of the book is the MC writing or revealing that this book was something they either found or had written the whole time. Not really something great.
Im 99% sure laugh tale is a literal whale. Laboon was the template for showing us whats possible. The lyrics of never ending ever wandering our funny laugh tale makes it seem like they are referring to a living thing not an object. It could be they are delivering saki to the whale to make him part of the crew
@@JamesDavy2009 it wouldn't, it would make more sense if Straw Hats need to meet Laboon again because he can go underwater and after that reveal the one piece is most likely underwater
10:57 I believe the last theory has a lot of weight to it but seeing that we already know this information that means there is more to the One Piece but it definitely will have Luffy laughing as well but still excited to know he has to... July 2024
The music one could have been forshadowed in a movie, even if it was non-canon Heart of Gold's main plot is to find a material called true gold which granted eternal youth and could buy the world. One of the obstacles was to correctly play a song written 200 years ago
I kind of like the last one, because in a sense, it really is that the adventure was the real treasure all along. The One Piece just gives him so much more of it.
Greetings everyone, I am a time traveler from twenty-five years in the future. Oda just finished One Piece and revealed that he was bluffing all of us, the One Piece IS the friends we made along the way. He also said it is a prequel series, for when the series ends and the water level recedes, Luffy begins his new journey after losing his memory, and he goes by the name "Son Goku."
I think we know something more about the One Piece: when Roger reached Laugh Tale he couldn't get it because ha came too soon. Sometimes people say that this is because Shiraoshi wasn't born already and, as an ancestral weapon, she would be necessary. But there is anoter explanation: The One PIece is the actual manga of One Piece: Roger laughed because it's funny but he came too soon because it wasn't finished yet!
I feel when most people are theory crafting about what the treasure could be. They also forget to acknowledge that Roger said he came too soon, meaning the treasure is likely something that needs to be acquired after a certain period.
The funniest thing i can think of is when Roger went on the island there was a sign saying:"joyboy was here" and "come back later". No date no nothing.
Maybe I dont know what One Piece itself is, but I almost have answer to where All Blue is. Who is blue, Big, and can command and lived among all sorts of fish? Thats right, its Jinbe, Sanji had his dream right under his nose all the way since the end of wano
I like to think the the one piece could be some sort of time mirror allowing certain people to view into any point in Time, easily revealing the secrets of the past and the future so maybe Roger saw the past and future and knew he had to be executed to set luffys journey into motion becoming joyboy and freeing the world, thus connecting even past and present into one piece
Its a Rocket Ship. I can even tell you where it is. Deep under Mariejois. Its a call back to Skypiea, and the promise? It was for Joyboy to meet his friend at his home planet. Imu isn’t even the final villain of the story. Its Rocks, and his devil fruit is rocks. He surrounded the Rocket ship with stone.
A One piece is the clothe. It would be a swimsuit. It also seals the devil power, but allowing it to swim and can use devil's abilities as well. And he can also eat many different devil fruits. and has the power to control the sea level. This is the real reason why Gold Roger found One Piece and laughed. Kaidou said that only haki beats everything because it is not bulletproof.
Weird theory: the one piece worlds continents were so high that it created trenches that were impossibly deep. Uranus pushes the ground down which pushes the water up, flooding the planet
My theory is that it is a Sake bottle… but once it’s drank… the bottle acts as a telescope that can view into the dark depths of the sea and view the rest of the world. Hell, maybe even the branding paper on it are musical notes to Binks which causes the rest of the crew (Except a unsatisfied Luffy) to celebrate… and drink the bottle… until someone notices they can see more of what’s out there out of it.
I find it amazing that after so many years, nobody still has the slightest clue about what the one piece is. But we will eventually learn it in this lifetime, we are all waiting for the answer since we were little kids!
the library of artur has an interesting theory that the one piece is a comic book following the story of the fictional character Nika. That and the sake are my two favourite theories, though Luffy doesn't drink alcohol is always a big part of parties and he does love to party
I think it could still be history and ancient weapons. And the reason Roger laughed was either because Joyboy lived a funny life/was a funny person or they laughed because they realized they got there to early. Like they did all that work just to realize they couldn't act on the information so all they could do was laugh.
I like the destroying the red line theory the best, because one it rewards Luffy by making everyone free and himself free to go wherever they want, but it also rewards his crew, like Sanji’s dream of the all blue, and Brook’s dream of reunion with Laboon, very specifically Sanji’s though because how else could there be a part where all 4 meet. There is still Chopper’s dream too which also seems very far fetched, so perhaps on this island also lies the key to making a cure. The only problem is how would a way to destroy the red line be funny enough to make all of the crew laugh that hard, perhaps a joke on the island by Joy Boy? And also how come Roger didn’t take anything off the island if is a weapon to destroy the red line or a cure, which makes me think it’s something much sillier so maybe a whoopie cushion or something along those lines of just being very funny
What if the world of One Piece is actually in a manga(/dreamworld, shoutout film Red), and the One Piece is the only bit of "reality" left that exists?
@@KayNKonami I once looked it up but tbh I wish I hadn't. It's a meme about gross videos where whitebeard's "one piece is real" statement comes with a song (with "can we get much higher, oh so high..." as lyrics) and several One Piece pictures are modified to include huge d*cks to the characters in them.
I've seen a discussion about how the one piece will not be "the friends we made along the way," but "the friends we made along the way" are required to get, and more importantly, appreciate what the one piece really is.
the one thing that's missing from this video that I'm struggling to search for everywhere is how the "will of D" will be connected to the series ending and one piece finding, there are so many good theories about the will of D and the One Piece but not really any super popular theory that DIRECTLY connects them, not thematically or metaphorically but an ancient story of how One Piece dream and the will of D were created together, like by the same person, or maybe enemies, or maybe a father and son, I know there is an explanation for how these two things are created that is concrete history
Listen. The one piece is a Key between here and the world of dreams The ancient kingdom was never defeated. They went to the world of dreams and their physical forms became the devil fruits. This is why vegapunk explained that devil fruit users have power from another world. It's why Roger was too early to open the barrier and laughed because it seemed such an awesome story and not reality. Because it's not reality and is imagine-ality
@JamesDavy2009 it explains all devil fruits and awakenings As people whose will aligns with the fruit are better able to actualize it's true form and abilities
@JamesDavy2009 think in terms of vibrations and frequency - if vegapunk was based off tesla he would've been able to solve it, but he was only based off Einstein who was too practical until his final moments - as we see with him finally doing the right thing
I think that the one piece is a bottle of sake because as you said Hitotsunagi which is that which connects people together and sake is usually used in the show to connect people's stories and bring them closer together as shown when Ace, Luffy and Sabo each drank sake to seal their bond and bink's sake could be the story of Joy boy delivering the sake during the great storm that was told about in binks sake piece all in one piece to laughtale and i know Luffy doesn't drink but it kinda sounds like the sake is the one piece and the reason Roger laughed is because he spents years of his life dedicated to find the great treasure just for it to be a bottle of sake and he just found it to be hilarious.
I love that the man on the internet ends his videos one second too early. That makes it possible for us to predict the last word to complete the final sentence. LOL
Romance Dawn truly is one of the best chapter titles of all time. It fits so well with early One Piece, and looking back on it now it fits even better after >1000 episodes
2:07 i gotta admit, it would be hilarious for oda to pull an uno reverse on us. Like what will we do, not read the new chapters not coming out because the series is done?
5:40 I personally think this makes most sense not because of the sake itself, but because of what it represents, bonding with people and partying, which would be a real Luffy thing to dream about This in my weird head also lines up with the world being drained at the end to reconnect all the "islands" again, therefor bonding/connection people together
I'm new to One Piece. New to anime in general. At 49 years old I watched the live action One Piece and enjoyed it enough to start watching the anime. I am now almost 600 episodes in.
I went to a one piece panel during anime expo asking this exact question. It was very interesting and I’m gonna keep watching one piece for now until I can finally catch up in time
I think it's a mix CD full of all the sickest hip hop and R&B songs ever made. It was made by Joy Boy, the stage name of Terrance Phillip, the greatest recording artist of the void century. There's a Poneglyph that explains that the Will of D is actually the Will of Dance, specifically street/urban dance, and that the first twenty were just haters who could neither pop nor lock so they fought a war to destroy all music and dance so no one would make fun of them for their lack of rhythm anymore. This is why Luffy's heartbeat became the Drums of Liberation when he awoke his devil fruit, those drums are actually part of the beat to the last song Joy Boy ever recorded, though it was never finished, it's Luffy's destiny to finish the beat and play the song for the entire world to liberate everyone from the World Government through dance.
I like the idea that it's something alcohol related due to the theory that luffy wants to have the biggest party on earth. When Roger got there it still had to ferment for another long while hence why "they were too early" It hadn't fully fermented yet.
Thank you Liam, started one piece two days ago and only on chapter 14, phone dies too fast, homeless and no other charger because my old job stole it from me literally.

I don’t have a theory about the One Piece, but I think there will be one more Luffy backstory that tells what his dream is. And in classic Oda style, it will redefine a lot of content we saw until that point.
Fun Fact the Original Linie Aquavits (From Norway where the Wiking comes from) needed to go 40.000 km around the world to drink it maybe the bink sake is inspired by it
Why does every bottle of the original Norwegian “Linie Aquavit” have 40,000km behind it before it is drunk?
Answer:
According to legend, a cargo of aquavit was shipped to Australia in 1850 to a customer.
One piece is Bink's sake, but not enough for everyone.
It's just enough...
For one piss.
I imagine that it's something that can only be unlocked or used by someone that has eaten the Nika fruit. The Roger pirates laughed because they had no way to use the treasure they found, and they found it hilarious
We know the one piece is bikini that joyboy wore
😂😂😂😂😂
Honestly, I like that last theory the most since as you said, the romance of adventure that started at the beginning would never end
Nah, he said few times in interview that the ending of One Piece and what is the OP itself is never changed from the start.

The One Piece is that One Coconut Tree you usually see on a small island that has someone stranded on it. 🏝

That would unironically be hilarious
Damn.... This could be true😅😅😅
AHHHHH YES THE TIMING IS PERFECT!!!!! I AM ABOUT TO DESTROY THIS TOILET
The only thing that lives in your heart all along, is sogeking island
Have we ever considered that the "D." initial stands for drowned? It could be the "Will of the Drowned" for everyone who died smiling during the original flooding, as they would have likely been the enemies of the 20 kingdoms if they drowned during the flood.
That's dark... and so real... ouch
Why did nefertari d lily have it if it was before the flood she waa born obviously
I need to stop being awake for these drops
The One Piece is the entire manga series in a chest
*For Yamato if she's joining soon, it will be her dream to go places where oden had gone in his adventure's.
Luffy just wanted to go for a very enthusiastic walk and asked his enemies if their health plans were apparently great.
Sealing
King D. Yfful
So is Nami gonna end up with a cannon?
Thus that's the caveat to my theory, because Roger would definitely have the strength to pull a rubber plug....idk, but that's my own theory.
thats compelling. the one piece could just be destroying the red line, creating the all blue tho
@@bomboclat153doing that and draining it
What if he laughed because he realized that he couldnt because he didnt have the gum gum powers, and to have his will and what he did not for nothing he said to shanks to find the gumgum fruit, to garp to raise who he wanted to be joy boy (ace, but it ended up being luffy), and to his allies, (rayleigh, the dude inside laboon i forgot the name) help and protect him, and shirohige protect him too
What if one piece was the whole manga series itself, and roger read the 1000+ chapter and laughed, also it has truth of the world, void century . It will also give us the readers an access to one piece
I agree
Regular show unknowingly having a similar plot to one piece
A hidden god, and a meta tape
That is something Oda would scoff at as well. It's a trope I have read in books far too much, that the ending of the book is the MC writing or revealing that this book was something they either found or had written the whole time.
Not really something great.

Im 99% sure laugh tale is a literal whale. Laboon was the template for showing us whats possible. The lyrics of never ending ever wandering our funny laugh tale makes it seem like they are referring to a living thing not an object. It could be they are delivering saki to the whale to make him part of the crew
That could explain Laboon's part in the story.
@@JamesDavy2009 it wouldn't, it would make more sense if Straw Hats need to meet Laboon again because he can go underwater and after that reveal the one piece is most likely underwater

But there is anoter explanation:
The One PIece is the actual manga of One Piece: Roger laughed because it's funny but he came too soon because it wasn't finished yet!

the one piece is his red hat, the only thing left. Is the pirate king.
I feel like tbat gives the person with the mirror fruit an unfair advantage
@@simpleviewer1334 well I don’t think it’s a fruit, but the one piece will be an unfair advantage regardless right?
GLR have you considered making an audiobook with night stories? Your intonation and voice inflation is so enjoyable.

This is the real reason why Gold Roger found One Piece and laughed. Kaidou said that only haki beats everything because it is not bulletproof.

I think it could still be history and ancient weapons. And the reason Roger laughed was either because Joyboy lived a funny life/was a funny person or they laughed because they realized they got there to early. Like they did all that work just to realize they couldn't act on the information so all they could do was laugh.
it could just be a stereotypical treasure (gold, jewels, ect) with a funny message left by Joy Boy himself
And also how come Roger didn’t take anything off the island if is a weapon to destroy the red line or a cure, which makes me think it’s something much sillier so maybe a whoopie cushion or something along those lines of just being very funny

the one thing that's missing from this video that I'm struggling to search for everywhere is how the "will of D" will be connected to the series ending and one piece finding, there are so many good theories about the will of D and the One Piece but not really any super popular theory that DIRECTLY connects them, not thematically or metaphorically but an ancient story of how One Piece dream and the will of D were created together, like by the same person, or maybe enemies, or maybe a father and son, I know there is an explanation for how these two things are created that is concrete history
Listen. The one piece is a Key between here and the world of dreams
The ancient kingdom was never defeated.
They went to the world of dreams and their physical forms became the devil fruits.
This is why vegapunk explained that devil fruit users have power from another world.
It's why Roger was too early to open the barrier and laughed because it seemed such an awesome story and not reality. Because it's not reality and is imagine-ality
Plausible-it does explain the cartoon physics of Luffy's Gear 5th Form.
@JamesDavy2009 it explains all devil fruits and awakenings
As people whose will aligns with the fruit are better able to actualize it's true form and abilities
@JamesDavy2009 think in terms of vibrations and frequency - if vegapunk was based off tesla he would've been able to solve it, but he was only based off Einstein who was too practical until his final moments - as we see with him finally doing the right thing
@@mwstifler An astute comparison-Einstein resisted the notion of quantum mechanics until his death, saying, "God does not throw dice."

2:07 i gotta admit, it would be hilarious for oda to pull an uno reverse on us. Like what will we do, not read the new chapters not coming out because the series is done?
5:40 I personally think this makes most sense not because of the sake itself, but because of what it represents, bonding with people and partying, which would be a real Luffy thing to dream about
This in my weird head also lines up with the world being drained at the end to reconnect all the "islands" again, therefor bonding/connection people together
