- Ohne Dich was released by German band Rammstein in 2004, and to this day remains one of their most popular songs. Swedish band Shining covered it on the Deluxe edition of their "IX - Everyone, Everything, Everywhere, Ends" album, released in 2015.

I feel emotion in this, it's the kind of emotion i wouldn't want to feel, but it wouldn't be the same without it... Anyway I love every second of it...
You know, for them being swedish they got the articulation down pretty well.
Vanitas a lot of Swedes can speak German very well when they learn. Johannes Eckerström from Avatar is half German and he learned through his mother and he’s not half bad with it. This is very evident in their song Tsar Bomba.
Some smaller, but noticable problems. He struggles with the different german pronounciations of 'ch'. Nails it in "dich", gets it wrong in "ich" and "nicht". Also, he slurs the 'r' at word-endings and pronounces 'st' the northern-german way (same as in english), which of course is not technically a mistake.
I don't know what Till Lindemann meant when he wrote that song, but Kvarforth is defenetely singing about heroin here

regarding the cover was recorded 2012 during the redefining darkness sessions i would guess that he dedicated it to trond, the singer of urgehal and close friend of niklas, who passed away 2012.

Kvarforth is openly an emotional dude, which isn't really surprising to anyone who pays attention to what he does more than what he says.

I feel like shining needs their own song structure to work. The bursts of raw emotion followed by slow, creeping guitar. This is too much.
