Very Good Video, I also watched the part 1 as well, what I understand is For Driving a Thar you don't need to have any experience to ride off roads, its very simple and anyone can take it any where. Where as for the other two you need to have some experience. Isuzu is great on both roads n off roads but lacks differentials locks I guess in this version. Gurkha needs some off roading knowledge before you drive that and also I see the wheel articulation and ground clearance is not that great and even power is less compared to the other two but has the greater road presence though. So I feel overall Thar is the winner if we are considering Off Roads, and Isuzu if we are considering Overall Off Road n On Road.
GURKHA...More bhp & torque engine will be a boost ! Also minor glitches & problems like enhanced ground clearance, dead pedal, pick up variant(as is hilux 4wd), etc etc...all this will boost popularity & sales ! 20 lakhs on road is ok...especially if force motors gives facility of high quality modifications to suit customer tastes for both on-road & off-road !
Cost and offroad capability makes the Thar a good package. It's only agile because of its short wheelbase which makes the vehicle impractical and useless for most applications. It only has road presence because of its styling that's a blatant and shameful copy of the Jeep Wrangler. Credit Jeep for the 'muscular design'; Mahindra just lifted it right off. You can easily buy a 'Wrangler grill' for the Thar and most people wouldn't be able to tell the two vehicles apart. It means even the width-height proportions/ratios are taken from the Wrangler. It's the most unoriginal design you can find in India.
It's always easy when a microprocessor does the job for you vs you manually do it (Automatic vs Human instincts) eg- the difference b/w Automatic car and manual car. Thar/Isuzu wins big on tyre articulation, wins big at higher power at disposal, wins big with better tyres as well. However, the joy of constantly evolving with the vehicle, learn for years and pass it on, mastering off-road can be done with Force Gurkha. Deepak or anybody will require sometime to master the analogue off roader but the same guy will be able to pull off automatic SUVs as easily as it's shown because the microprocessors were doing their job. The timing of events in an analogue off roader like when to engage what and how much is too much vs too little until learnt it's always going to be an unknown terrain ahead from mastering pure manual off-road vehicle point of view and cannot be replicated or learnt from microprocessor driven vehicles.
Great effort but I feel even after the diff locks were applied, tyres ruk ruk ke ghum rahe the 2:16 to 2:22. I also feel some damage would have been done on the axles, sound coming during the wheel spin at 8:20 was scary. Would suggest to get the same checked.
why are amateurs driving the Gurkha? Thar has an automatically engaging rear diff, not sure about the Isuzu so why is the Gurkha driver not driving with the rear diff engaged?

Kudos for the efforts in readying up an area for this event! Definitely not easy to pull it off. Glad folks had fun too. For these reasons, well done! However, all these obstacles were extremely beginner-level, and would present no challenge or interest to anyone with even some basic offroading experience. I am surprised that the Thar has such poor articulation that its tire came off the ground even on the little 'reverse metal' track. I also wonder what was the whole point in the metal bridge obstacle and the 'rock crawling' obstacle - both seemed pointless. A compact SUV with minimal clearance and open diffs could do both; no need for articulation, lockers or more than basic skill.

Fallacies- 1) spelling- Originally it is GORKHA not Gurkha. 2) 4×4×4 is a vague term. 4×4 with MMLD ( Mannual mechanical diff lock) is much more better, matcho, and serious term. 3) design of front lower arm. How is it possible, who previously developed TRAX 290 GTD and Xtreme recent past? 4) Discontinuation of front live rigid heavy duty suspension and RCB ( Recirculating ball type steering), result two major accident clearly pointing for locking of steering. A) manevanjan, district- Darjeeling, B) accident of Uttarakhand in recent past. 5) Last but not least, ground clearance. Trax kargo king offers a ground clearance of 239 mm whereas the iconic off road king of same company offering only 205mm.
Even though it is clear that Gurkha ka driver thoda kamzoor hai, Thar covers up the incompetencies of its driver. I believe comfort chood k, all other aspects mei Thar is the clear winner here.
