Yea I wasn’t aware that you could clear the ax like they did in 1-4 after killing Bowser and avoid the bridge falling. That was cool. Curious if that is TAS only or just extremely difficult for a human with multiple simultaneous button/direction presses.
The bridge stays up if you kill Bowser with fireballs, glitching the axe grab like that isn't needed. In Warpless speedruns, runners kill Bowser with fireballs and it saves enough time to make up for grabbing the power-ups. Also you can get that axe grab glitch by just crouch jumping and touching the back of it.

At the 9:38 loop, I noticed the standing/crouch jump pattern is different each loop. The jumps are in batches of eight too, as in 8-bit binary. I can't be bothered to check right now, but putting in a secret message in binary sounds like something a TASer would do.
I think I once did a TAS without recording and it was a TAS speedrun of Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (NES) on my Nintendo Wii U. I reached the pole without any troubles. I went up those stairs like you did in 1-1 fast and got a 1-UP reaching the flagpole, and that was amazing. I wish it happened again.

You must be new here. This is no cheating since you can do all this things in the original game, no external code injection or hardware manipulation. Glitches are part of the game and completely accepted in the speedrun community. Using them doesn't make the run less valid, and, as a matter of fact it usually does the game more difficult to run, but (almost) everything is allowed for the sake of going as fast as possible.
Edgar Auzarays Enemies respawn. If you go to a newer SMB and go backwards you would see they respawn. You can get maximum kills in one frame though. (Basically 256 enemies in one area it will break though)

I know for a fact that you missed a multi coin block hidden in the bricks in 4-2 before the vine as well as the hidden coin block under the vine block.
Getting that block would result in less coins, because the TAS bot needs to keep a certain framerule so it can use the pipe to warp instead of the vine

It's too slow, I believe. Pretty sure if you hit that block, it wouldn't allow for the extra Warpzone loop because of the timer. Giving you less coins as a result.
