Sorry to correct you, but the MT. 03 is the naked version of the R3

Your rear end swingarm spools are lift points more than protectors. Bike has no center stand so you use a rear wheel lift stand that grabs in between spools to lift your bike for maintenance like chain adjustment. I just downsized from a 2000 Honda 1100 Sabre, miss the power but MT03 is 200 pounds less and alot more agile for an old fart.

As another old fart, I agree wholeheartedly with what you say. I downsized from a Triumph 900 Bonneville and found the mt03 actually much more fun to ride. It's not just "a beginner bike" it's an amazing bike and it's 100% suitable for me. The only bike I'd replace of with is an R3. And yes, a paddock stand is definitely a must. Best regards.

Thank you so much for this video. I have just purchased a MT-03 and I love it. You said your wife is only 4'11''. I too am a short rider and would love to get some information about changing the suspension. Can I ask you to send me details on this - i.e. where did you purchase the replacement suspension? Is it a job I can do myself or does it have to be done in a shop? I would love to lower my bike by those few inches. I would appreciate any help you can give me. Cheers.

I didn’t buy any suspension there’s a lowering link that is made for the R3 and it’s the same frame as the mt03 and you can definitely do it in ur garage if u have a way of propping up the bike as u’ll need to remove the back wheel it will drop it a 2 or inches in the back
