- For the first time together, Suzette Quintanilla joins Noemi Gonzalez, who plays her on ‘Selena: The Series,’ for a heartfelt conversation. In this exclusive ET interview, Selena Quintanilla’s older sister and the actress take turns asking each other questions about their lives, preparing to film the Netflix series and the late Tejano superstar’s legacy. All episodes of ‘Selena: The Series’ are streaming now on Netflix.
Noemi is honestly a good actor. Hopefully she stars in more movies.

The picture that Suzette took of Selena in her white pearl bustier and white pants was taken at Selena's 1994 Huston Astrodome concert. In February of 1994. Not her "last concert." The "last concert" as they call it was the February 1995 Huston Astrodome concert where she wore her famous burgundy (purple) outfit.
Her Famous "last concert" wasn't actually her last actual concert anyway though. Her final appearance where she performed was only days before her death. She wore a beautiful hunter green shorts, bustier and a long jacket with tails.
We all lost out though because the night of her death she was to perform. She was going to wear a gorgeous red leather number. I've only ever saw it on a hanger but she would have looked amazing in it.. 😢

I literally just finished watching the show on Netflix ... When I was a kid I grew up listening to Selena, and I remember saying "one day I'm gonna go to her concert and I will meet her" Back then I didn't know of her death. I thought she was alive because everyone around me acted as if she still was. I was born in 1997 and I was around 4 or 5 y/o when I started my interest in music. This just shows that real artists live forever. I'm soon to turn 24 y/o and I still listen to her and people still recognize her and talk about her all around the world. She will never die.
I was also born in 97 and I was the same way it was my dream to go to her concert but sadly she already passed. I still listen to her music and sing and dance to it though.

I really appreciate how they had many shots of christian performing but from suzette's pov. I remember an old interview where she explains how hard it was for her to listen to some of her music bc she could hear selena taking a deep breathe in the songs. That triggered memories for her when she would watch her sister take deep breaths when she would sing. keep in mind her view was always the back side of selena.
I Def loved the series now I would really love to see on screen "to Selena with love" from Chris seeing how they lived together their time.

Noemi had the best performance in this series. She was my favorite character! The scene where she was with Selena and Marcela having lunch, the day before Selena's passing...WOW! I do see Suzette in Noemi!

Some of my favorite moments in Selena: The Series are the moments between Suzette and Selena. When Suzette looks at Selena with total adoration and then smiles, that always got me 🥰☺️ their relationship seemed so pure and sweet 💗

I don’t understand or even speak Spanish and I love all of Selena’s songs she was such a cool down to earth person an so much fun and it really shows in her music I was only 1 when she died but I know if she was still around today she’d definitely be one of my top favourite artists

I started watching the series while I took my first drums lessons.. and I remember in season one this little girl who wanted to be a drummer and looked up to Suzette and later got her autograph!! Such a beautiful scene! 💖

Just as everyone always says Selena was a very beautiful woman. Suzette in her own right is every bit as beautiful as her sister Selena and has a joyous and bubbly personality as well. Wish I had the opportunity to meet and hang out with her.

Grew up on Selena x1000! Being Mexican American with deep Mexican roots , we’re not only fans, Selena is family! My Parents have VHS videos of showering me as a baby back in December1994& Selena playing in the background music. I personally LOVED the series way better than the movie. About time!!

I love the “Ones” compilation album by Selena but there’s a compilation album called “Mis Primeros Exitos” which features her early hits from the 80’s as Selena Y Los Dinos. That album is banging! “Dame Un Beso”, “Yo Fui Aquella”, “Tú No Sabes” and “Cien Años” are my favorites.

We Still Miss And Love Selena Quintanilla from Ottawa Canada.
God bless her whole family and friends that knew her personally. I can’t imagine their pain all these years. What a beautiful soul she was. Their band is Iconic. The Cow print is one of my favorite outfits . My dad was lucky enough to see her I the early 90s in that cow print . All the way here in Michigan! Selena is my favorite performer of all time. I love introducing her music & story to friends I met that that don’t know about her yet! SELENA, A true & genuine legend in Latin/American music history!
Suzette Quintanilla is a very warm and loving person and you can tell that just through her interviews.
My nephews job took him to Corpus Christi and while he had down time he visited the Selena museum and as a drummer he was over the moon getting to meet Suzette.
He said she was the most genuine and most awesome spirited person you'd ever meet. He took a photo with her and it's his prized possession.
Selena and her family captivated a nation and they still do took this very day. God bless the Quintanilla's and thank you for you're beautiful music!!!

I absolutely loved this Selena series on Netflix. I think everyone did an amazing job and story of their lives seemed as thorough as it can get considering it’s a short series. Was sad to see it had to end for obvious reasons.

Being a tejano and coming from South Texas and living in South Texas growing up in the 80s we didnt have hollywood. For us when Selena made it big we made it big. Selena y los dinos represented our home and our culture. L.A. had Jack Nicholson and Magic Johnson. Hell we had Selena and Tim Duncan!!! God bless the Quintanillas and thank you all for the great music and memories.

Interesting how they made Naomi gain weight for her Suzette role but they didn’t have Christian gain any weight for her role as Selena. If it’s the acting they were really going for in this show then Naomi should’ve stayed as is.

Well Selena was still kinda small, flat tummy, not a ton of chest. She did have a but they, and I think they padded her for the series. I don't think her body was too off for the role.
