    One thing I've done that helps with high beams or fog lights is close my left eye and focus my right eye on the right side edge of the road. Once the vehicle passes, opening my leg l left eye helps keep my night sight.

    Omg I've seen so many truckers that will move out of the right line to allow for an oncoming car and I have so veri much respect for em. I've been the oncoming car looking at a truck goin "awe feck." and the car next to the truck going "uh oh, get outta the way, its an oncoming ramp. Get outta the way for em"

    Hey man appreciate your videos much respect, I'm a new driver 2 months on the road in the gta .one thing I noticed is when 4 wheelers see you put your signal in the purposely try to speed up and block you from switching lanes , my 2nd day on the road a car did that I almost pancaked them good thing I was taught to always double check my mirrors, I was pissed and I can't fathom why someone would play with their life like that

    I spent a couple weeks - as a kid - adult - looking at driving as a possible career. 45 yrs ago. As a 4 wheeler - I watch the rear view - and trucks that get 10 car lengths to me - I always flip on my turn signal - pointing myself as opening the truck to an easy pass. Once I see the truck move left - I tap my brakes and am off cruise. I wait till I see the rig clear my bumper - and I keep flashing my high beams till the drivers pulls in front of me. Stay safe ladies and gents!

    Yeah you move over into the left lane when they’re merging on that on-ramp with a truck that’s governed at 65 they’re not gonna let you back into that right lane…. Been there done that and that’s with the other truckers to you move over and they won’t let you back into that lane…..

    I tell you what, I plow for the DOT and the biggest pet peeve of me and all the guys I work with is them damn LED high beams and light bars in the middle of the night in a snowstorm. I know its probably not right but if they don't dim them I flip mine on till they shut there's off, but our little halogen plow lights ain't very bright anyways.

    I have always been someone driving safely focusing on situational awareness, but once I started riding motorcycle I realized even more how important it is and kept improving it. If all drivers would be willing to spend some time on a motorcycle, I bet this would change their perspective on safety and courtesy on the road.

      Nothing against you if you are a safe rider but I see a lot of motorcycles weaving in and out of traffic going 100 mph or more. For those guys if they take a slide and they end up in the ground I don’t feel bad for them.

    Those extra lights on the lower front are not fog lights. Fog lights are amber to break through the fog. Those are driving lights for extra visibility in the dark and wider angle. As High beams, turn them of. Too many people think they're show off lights.

    My biggest pet peeve is drivers who won't back down to let other trucks pass. Why block up the road for 10 minutes to let another truck to pass if he's going to pass you anyway? I have always backed down to let trucks pass, it's common courtesy. We upped our speeds to 115KM/H to make passing easier. 105KM/H is super unsafe depending on the situation.

    • @mrlevhil
      @mrlevhil Год назад

      Especially if you are governed. Back off for a second unless you're going up an incline.

  • @stoundingresults

    If a trucker caught up to you, they're going faster. Slow your governed truck and let them pass. They will continue to be faster and soon will be a quarter mile in front of you.

    Most 4 wheelers' drivers don't have a friggin' clue how to safely merge onto a highway - it's why I'm usually running one lane to the left of the shoulder if there are three or more lanes.

      I remember taking drivers ed, the girl who was in my session, (3 students plus an instructor) and we where doing merges on to the highway, she accelerated so slowly on the on ramp that the instructor had to push her foot down to avoid merging at 30 mph. x.x and the worst part is that I see it happen all the time, I do get that some of the cloverleafs are made too tight, but if by the time your starting to go strait your not full on accelerating, your doing it wrong x.x

    Slow, inattentive cars merging is my biggest actual driving complaint. I understand that on some on-ramps, you simply can’t get going easily. That’s fine. My rage happens on the long, DOWNHILL 1/2 mile long on ramp, and the car doesn’t start to accelerate until they are on the actual expressway.

    • @RolfLongreach
      @RolfLongreach Год назад +1

      It is like they slow down sometimes and just aim for you.
      How about when you are getting on the highway and the 4 wheeler behind you cuts across the solid line and then starts driving next to you?

  • @jamesstreet228

    Moving over to let someone get on is a common courtesy that should be practiced but, how many times have you moved over to allow someone to have the lane and they ride right beside you and not allow you to get back over? The high beams seem to be a trend going on. Some of these LED's are just too bright. Bottom line.

    The biggest problem is these signs and speed limits aren't obeyed. When it says trucks left lane only they're still driving in the right lane. For example. The other thing I don't like is everybody always saying we're 80,000 lb It takes three football fields to stop. In fairness 90% of trucks are not at max 80k. Most are between 55,000 and 70,000 gross. So let's say I'm rolling a 55,000 I don't need 3 football fields.

    I watch your videos to learn and hear about things I don’t know about; so why don’t you guys just make the videos for experienced drivers with 10 years or more experience and let’s get the show down the road, the other guy does that.
    What I’d like to know and learn is; how to BROKER FREIGHT AND INVEST IN MEGA CORPORATIONS working from home 🏠.
    I’ve already learned over the years that driving a truck is just a long road to NOWHERE. THANKS 🙏🏼
