I just watched the anime, the moment when the final part of song was playing and camera paned to overhauls eye which caught the glimpse of menacing deku , this song signified that at that moment overhaul accepted his defeat.
Midoriya doesn't realize it yet but he has already saved a bunch of people already. he saved Bakugo twice first time was technically All Might but the secound time was their fight. he saved todoroki from the chains of his past the first ever person he actually saved with Ochako he also saved Kota, eri, he also saved Shindo twice. i find it strange no one has noticed that midoriya always prioritizes saving people similar to how spidey saves people gotta love the writing for deku. At least i really do

In heroes rising (spoilers) I was already crying when they were evacuating people because I kept thinking about how much they have grown and how much effort they had

Deku really does make the word "hero" have such weight to it now. He changed so many people and their outlooks on life and heros as a whole. From season 1 till now plus the Manga? Deku really Is a HERO.
Ik I’m late af but “They should play this as the final song of the series” The song was released on the heroes rising soundtrack before it was included in the eri scene. The movie itself was described as “the original ending” before Horikoshi scrapped it and found a better ending as he put it. The final fight where Deku gives up his power to Bakugo was meant to be how the series ended as the birth of My Hero was due to Horikoshi not liking how Sasuke and Naruto ended, with unity. Deku, the protagonist will realize the same thing we all saw as viewers in Bakugo, and although training throughout the entire show he loses his power. He is the greatest hero the world as he defeated the greatest evil.
No, the one that played in the anime wasn't Might+U but Might. Might+U played specifically in the movie while Might played in the anime. Might, while the lyrics wasn't included in the Eri scene, sounds slightly different instrumentally than Might+U.
What makes this song hit different is how Midoriya chased is dream relentlessly no matter how many times he was told he would never be a hero. No look at him. Such a beautiful story.
