I've found Howard's restore a finish to be excellent in removing scratches and white marks on tables and bentwood cases. Even the neutral colour which has no dye works great. Highly recommended.
I use this product all the time, I’m in the US. It is my go to for my vintage resale furniture, but I also used on old doors in my sons house when we remodeled. I used it on terribly worn wood floors, worked well but severely stained areas just got darker.
hi, may I ask, Howard's instructions for this product differ in that it says wipe on with soft cloth & immediately wipe off excess. Did you find it worked well to leave on until the entire case was wiped w the restore product, then wipe off? Thanks for your answer & for the video!
Just wanted to know if you repair the mechanical works of these sewing machines? I have an old Singer in a sewing table, and a tiny piece of the bobbin came out when my 12 year old was sewing. I have searched everywhere for a video to learn exactly where this piece belongs! No luck yet. The machine was doing great up till then. Thank you in advance for your response 🙂
Do you know if this is safe to use over PC petrifier wood hardener and DAP Plastic Wood wood filler? Most of the item in question would be served perfectly well by this Howard's product, but there is one small section of wood rot that needs the additional work of the wood hardener to stop the rot and the filler to correct the damaged surface. I looked at the product page and I couldn't find enough specifics to be completely sure - so please, if you happen to have more expert advice I would very much appreciate it!

I just bought a tin off eBay £17, along with some shellac and wire wool, easy to get now

Yes I just made sure it didn’t dry before I wiped it off

Sorry. I really don't know. It was my first time using this product as it's not readily available here in the UK.
Why are you using the “Walnut” tint on oak? I would think the medium or dark oak tint would be better. Walnut will tend to give it a reddish hue.
It was all i could get as it's not widely available here

no. It's really just for wood. Try a good quality car wax on the machine.
