0:50 Korean American here. Really wish they made the banner more Korean looking with a blue sky and white moon (like the famous royal 5 peaks painting) rather than the red sun which looks Japanese, especially with the white paper lantern in the background, you know, seeing how Crypto is supposed to be Korean.
Man, I really prefer this one over his regular one. As a Crypto main, I need this. I hope I get another set of shards eventually
I like the color scheme on the original one better (just my opinion), but the finisher just makes the recolor so much better

Another marketing technique. They realized that people who have the normal colored heirloom wouldn’t buy an entire collection event just to get the same heirloom, so they made a way that is arguably cheaper (buying packs rather than a collection event) so that it is more enticing

@1337Swiper I don’t really care about any stat other than finishers. I’ve got like over 3,000 total and most of it is on Wattson. But really hard to do finishers when the enemies are always grouped up or a third party gets you. I rarely get finishers nowadays, even though I focus them.
I will always choose a finisher over Shield battery it just saves time,and u can heal in style 😂
I'm going to be honest silent update drops are probably for the best. It's cool to see new heirlooms and features in a trailer but for a recolor it doesn't need a special event or trailer
Really lame that the original heirloom doesn't get this finisher. Don't really understand why respawn is marketing it like that :/
They want people that already bought the old one to have a reason to buy the new one. If both have finishers, you don't need the new one and Respawn doesn't make money.
@@VegitoAttacks There are still things that you can like more about the other heirloom recolor. There's a banner frame and the actual recolored heirloom itself. When wraith's heirloom got recolored they updated the old one with all of the animations that were added to the recolor. To me it just looks like respawn is cherry picking what to add to future recolors, as a consumer it's confusing and just unneeded cherry picking.
i think since the final fantasy event was so expensive, they decided just to release it without a collections event. You still need the shards, but i'm sure they had a feeling if they released a collection event for recolor, it would be by far the worst event when referring to people buying the event.
They’re so annoying, when finally finally they release something for my main Crypto, I can’t even get it without getting lucky with heirloom shards

Okay, thank you merch for testing if the finisher applied to the base heirloom, now it's 100% worth it for me since crypto is my main, I hope respawn backtracks for every other legend to get a unique heirloom finisher as well. My quest for shards is back.
5:09 I think this new recolor looks like something you'd get in the bottom of a cereal box or a happy meal. The old color looks much less goofy & cheap.

I am a huge Crypto fan and I loved the original heirloom. The finisher is just another cherry on top for me. That's why I kinda hope this is a mistake, because it would've actually been easier for me to get it via a collection event xD

It’s a way to get people to spend their excess currency like that time they released many legend skin recolors at once. Like they don’t want people sitting on shards.

I don't understand why they duplicate heirlooms. I mean, nobody was asking for a sword "of a different color" and wanting to spend their precious shards on. IMO, a recolor should be free to anyone who bought the OG heirloom. How about giving other legends who don't have heirlooms an heirloom instead.
Exactly I got my wraith heirloom then they release one I prefer my og clue but the red does look sick it’s dumb I techically missed out just cause I never knew recolors would be a thing at the time atleast maybe be able to buy it for basic tokens like 100k or 10k or sum

Respawn/EA disrespect my boi Crypto every chance they get, THEY absolutely gave zero F’s, about his recollection. Wraith had a whole thing wrapped around hers so did Revenant after his rework and entire 3 season lore story. Cryptos story ended the days his trailer dropped imo.

you can talk with some devs and ask them if they and when will update the original crypto heirloom with the finisher and and old prestige skins will be update with sky dives trails
Literally like a few days before this dropped I got shards and unlocked octanes like a bot
They should have built in finishers for all the other heirlooms

They're likely trying a different tactic to see if it sells. But unfortunately for them, I wouldn't even pay for an heirloom even if it was $60 (half price).

I got heirloom shards around three days ago, and I bought Watson’s heirloom but don’t even play this game anymore. I just logged on got a free pack and I just got shards. I have seven heirloom

What happens if heirloom finishers come to a legend that has a prestige skin with a max level finisher? What finisher will get used? Will you be able to equip what one you prefer?

It would be the same pretty sure the sword just allows the option to use the finisher so you’d have to select which you prefer like any other finisher
