If you got a STRIKE though, then you would be totally justified in being peeved and should not react to the band anymore, as clearly the band has decided the trade-off between viral publicity among reactors is not worth the lost revenue from their official vids, etc. On the other hand, copyright CLAIMS are automated by RUclips's content ID system, and means that the artist can make money when their songs are used. Unless you want to deprive artists of profiting off of their own music, you should not be upset about CLAIMS. Seriously? You are the first one that is getting it. I see many others doing the same songs and nothing happened to them. Not even a blocking. This is weird !
In Japan ,Classic Rock is still popular and remembered!! These ladies infuse all sorts of genres and that's what give their song composition a rather unique flavor!!!
Miku and Saiki flew to NYC to record the lyrics with Tony Visconti at his studio. Visconti later met the entire band and attended both NYC concerts. Check their interview {ENG Sub} BAND-MAID Dec 21 2019 Tokyo, they about Viscounti, and forming the band with a plus on MISA's drinking on stage.
Totally agree. More and more people are having positive reactions to BAND-MAID, their star power is rising. The new album is excellent with both heavy and hard rock, while also including soft rock songs. Though the CD has minor engineering issues with audio compression on some tracks. All in all, the new album CONQUEROR is a worthy addition for anyone's library. Plus, next year they will perform at Nippon Budokan in Japan, which is a huge achievement for any band to perform in that arena.
This song has been kind of controversial for a lot of Band-Maid fans, but I gotta say that I just love it! It's a change of pace from their last album, but that bluesy groove is soooo nice. Definitely a classic rock vibe, and the solo (with the bass+drums lead in) is a straight up monster!
This was a collaboration with famed record producer, Tony Visconti, who has many of the classic rock band credits under his belt. That explains the "classic rock" feel. That said, they are taking more chances in general, musically speaking. This is just one example. The latest album (which features this track), "Conqueror" dropped back in December.
This is also an example of a mistake. The production of the whole CD is bad. I like many of the songs, some were too laid back and maybe a little pop, I have all their music and when I downloaded this, from iTunes, I was not happy with the outcome. I expected more. Having worked with a producer that has history behind him the mix was poor. I've listened about a dozen times and have finally come to a conclusion that I like certain songs but hate the mix. The previous releases have nothing but great sound and music. There have been many "great" collaborations that have changed a band for the better. Metallica Black Album. Took them from the raw sound they had to a produced and mature sound that pushed them over the top. Pure Metallica fans were split but overall the industry and fans loved that collaboration. This has been released for a few months now and really not much buzz about it. Few reactions and/or comments in the fan sites. Most people are still talking about and liking the older releases.
Actually I checked out the entire live video from the Valentine's day concert at line cube shibuya this year. And everything sounded literally 'alive'. This version is pretty lame compared to the live version.
Conqueror is their latest album. It came out late November. It is their best album. I luv this song, my favorite in the album. I am w you man, if these ladies were in the U.S, they would be HUGE. So much talent. Tnx for the reaction
Another great reaction ! The new album is out now and is quite diverse in style, although there is still plenty of good old fashioned Band-Maid rock in there too !!
They have another all English song, Don't Let Me Down, although Saiki's accent is so thick that few realise. The lyrics are "interesting". It's a much older song, but does also have a style that's not quite their usual. You might feel the chorus is "a little poppy" but the drumming through it really gives it a punch.
I think you should check the song Gioncho - Band-Maiko. Band-Maiko is an April-fool version of Band-Maid performed by the band member themselves. In the 1st April 2018 when Miku said that she disbanded Band-Maid to form Band-Maiko. It's very fun.
The more I listen to this song, the more I fall in love it. It's a rough topic, not a feel-good thing, but it's compelling. And it's a new style for the band, which I always favor. Best thing about this band to me (which elevates it above similar bands in their genre) is its creativity and willingness to push itself into new sounds, and new levels of musicianship.
They don't really have any other songs on the album like this. It was one of the last tracks that got made, and they said that working with Tony Visconti gave them some new ideas, so maybe there will be more similar style ones in the future.
They wrote "flying high" after this one, saying that they incorporated some of the ideas Visconti gave them on that track. Out of everything else on the album, I think that song also has a "classic rock" vibe to it.
This band is amazing. Saw them live last year in London. Just got back from Tokyo where I saw them at the Line Cube in Shibuya. Watching them with a Japanese audience was fantastic. Played some much stuff from Conquer. They’re playing various Zepp concerts this summer around Japan. So if you have a sense of adventure and you can afford it. See them in Japan.
I flew to Japan in January to see them on the10th in Nagoya and 11th in Kobe with probably similar playlists. I also felt wonderful between all the Japanese fans, singing, shouting, clapping and rising the hands in the air during the whole concert, exept Kobato Time and "stand-up-comedy" interludes by the band. It was a very familiar feeling there, because I love the land and the people and one of the highlights was, that we ( Vladimir Chupin and I ) suprisingly met a couple in Kobe, that we know since our last concert in Hamburg. I´m still thinking about a trip to Nagoya again, but on the other hand, I should save the money for some European tour dates hopefully in summer or fall.
The thing with BAND-MAID is they're able to cover all spectrums of rock. From pop rock, alternative rock, classic rock, metal etc. Whatever your flavor is they can do it. As a fan, I'm looking forward to seeing them get better and better. This song gives me the classic rock vibes imo. Great song!

I like that they gave Miku a little guitar riff there. Plus her half of 'The Phoenix Fliiieeees!' Agree about this having an old skool bluesy rock feel. I've been bugging buncha my friends & coworkers bout this band. Why aren't they the biggest rock band in the world? BTW - the album came out 12/4/19
Agree, it’s got the old classic vibe. The concept of maid gimmick may be new, but their music is very nostalgic in many ways. BTW, this song was produced by someone else, so their original spice is not prominent.
Maid image? Not entirely and not entirely new, either. What Kanami, Akane and Miku wore were Maid Cafés employees uniforms. The very same costume female employees of the low paying Maid Cafés restaurant job wear and which have recently been "updated". Arista Records signed the rock band The Busboys in LA in 1980. Five young black men who played (and are still playing) old school rock n roll and dressed as, you guessed it, restaurant emolyees. Nothing new under the sun.

3 or 4 weeks ago, I finally decided to give them a proper listen... And since they had a new album, I begun with "Blooming" and it hit me so hard that I needed to listen more and kept "collecting" song after song and after listening some few songs from each album, I decided I had to have them all. I can't stop listening and when I'm not listening, I'm watching the two shows I could get my hands on (Zepp Tokio 2018 and Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017)... This is one of those bands that makes me think I'm happy that I don't have a "Reaction Channel" on RUclips - it would be too damn hard for me not to listen to everything else I could find... Anyway, it's been like a insane addiction, I love them. About this song, I can totally imagine Chris Cornell doing the vocals in this one (I love Saiki voice, though)... About cuts and pauses... it's a pitty, I understand why you have to do it, I just don't understand the labels or whoever claims those copyrights... it was after checking out one of these reactions to Band-Maid that I very shortly was spending a few hundreds of euros buying what I could afford from Band-Maid... so, it seems to me this is free advertisement for the bands, sounds to me like a good thing for both, bands and labels... but maybe there is more to it that I don't get, I dunno... Recommended Band-Maid reaction: "Real Existence" - it's from 2015's album "New Beginning" but it's like a signature song... at some point in a interview, one of them was saying "We are Band-Maid, the ones that play "Real Existence"...
Cool tune, not my favorite from the Conqueror CD (released December 2019) but with that said, the video is pretty “in your face” and I am glad to see them taking creative chances!
Russ Henry Yes the album doesn’t serve this song justice... the compression is bad. However when they play this live, it’s absolutely amazing and one of my favorites. It just grooves so well.
@@FateofEllusion the compression is bad on any album by any act in Japan. It is an industry wide cost saving measure. You should realize that maybe 95% of the worldwide audience listens to CD on low fidelity cheap CD players. When you pay $20 for a CD player you can not tell compressed from compressed less from a playback device of such low fidelity. In other words this is of no concern for 95 out of 100 worldwide and compression will continue to occur until the band starts to record at Abbey Road Studios in the UK.
@@Mrumff 95% of the world's population listens on crap CD players. And since Band-Maid's music is either downloaded or on CD (there are no masters or vinyl) poor people, which is most of the world's population then the answer to your question is that the vast majority do. Lol.
Maybe they started to listen to more Zepplin stuff after Jimmy Page commented after seeing the band play live in Tokyo in 2016. He complimented Akane and said she was the reincarnation of John Bonham. Akane was star struck. She later said Mr Jimmy Page-san offered her much encouragement and snapped a photo with her.
Classic rock + some 90s bands vibe also, like: Soundgarden or 98-2002 Pearl Jam's sound. Also Alice in Chains (not so dark, of course, but more like their last albums' sound into a japanese female hard-prog rock band!) Love it!
"It's all about the music. Nothing else matters."- Neil Young The song compares a personal tragedy with the global tragedy. The Dragon symbolizes mother earth and with every species that goes extinct the Dragon Cries just as Saiki cries over the sudden departure (death?) of her lover.
I believe Line Cube in Shibuya will be recorded for release and they are on the bill at Knotfest with Tool, Korn and Babymetal. Knotfest is going all around the globe. Last year l saw these musicians at Aftershock here in Sacramento and l had seen Band-Maid at the Echoplex two weeks earlier. They have also signed to play Budokan. A solo show in front of over 14,000 fans. Before that Inkcarceration will have them playing in front of at least 18,000. Band-Maid army is coming. Lastly, after Inkcarceration many current obligations wrap up and they just might rejoin Knotfest at that time. Possibly as early as Mexico City late this spring. Fingers crossed. Peace.
It’s Hendrix! Late 60’s to early 70’s. You keep skipping all of the time. Getting bored? Kanami is the genius shredder and composer.. Relationship and the the pics don’t match. Just impact to attract attention with the heavier style. Miku wrote the lyrics here but missed the Mark here. Saiki’s final vocal is so good. The Maids are still in that niche category. Singing Japanese will be a challenge for the mass market. The music won’t be. They get lost in a sea of bands and just need more publicity which they’re getting now with their new label Pony Canyon. This song was from 2019’s Conqueror album.
You say they sound like classic rock,is it the 60",70"s,80"s,90"s.Whole lot of different styles of classic rock.I don't care for them singing in English. The song looses the flow it has when they sing in Japanese.
That may be your preference but l sincerely hope it does not happen. Your preference will only severely limit them and potential future audiences. Quite the contrary l would love to see songs from them in at least three other languages where their popularity is currently the largest. Spanish, English, and German. They have never sung entirely in Japanese anyway with only a couple of minor exceptions like Band-Maiko. And Band-Maiko should satisfy your desire to limit them in very unwise ways. Your wishes would not be in line with World Domination. Now feel free to curse me out all you would like and have a nice night.
@@sacluvsBM There are plenty of bands the sing in Spanish and German.I prefer the German ones cause the other in Mexican music and I can't handle listing to a Spanish polka.Grumpy's favorite band is Babymetal and they sing most songs in Japanese.
@@COYO-T All true but for as many of you that say this there are as many who complain about not enough English. Your can't please everyone and trying to would be a mistake. @@COYO-T That would limit them. And Kobato Miku would not like that. I sincerely hope you do not get that wish. Miku will settle for nothing less than world domination. She won't get it following your advice.
Hi! I don’t know if you’ll see this but since you’ve uploaded recently I decided to comment this. I’ve been a huge fan of band-maid and bts for about two years now and I really enjoy your reaction videos. I have some good band-maid songs to recommend if you haven’t heard them yet and if you’re interested. (This’ll be a quite long comment so if you’re not interested you don’t have to read it) - Their entire discography is amazing in my opinion, band-maid just simply can’t produce a bad song. They’re the only band whose every single song I genuinely enjoy. - The first song I ever heard from band-maid was choose me, and I’ll forever be grateful to spotify for recommending it to me. It was followed by thrill (スリル), (which is a classic, if you will) and then it just went from there. - Love,Passion,Matador is one of their first songs and it’s a really fun and upbeat song. - Hide-and-seek, unfair game and matchless gum are really good, but underrated singles in my opinion. - Key and bye my tears are my favorite songs from their first album, Maid in japan. - New beginning is my favorite album of theirs and freezer is one of my favorite songs ever. I’d also recommend shake that and beauty and the beast. - Yuragu, non-fiction days, order and freedom are my favorites from the album brand new maid. - Some of my favorites from the album Just bring it are cross, ooparts, you. and so,what?. Time is also a great song and it has only Miku’s vocals - ハニー (Honey), fate and I can’t live without you. are great songs from their album world domination. - Flying high, dilemma, azure and reincarnation really caught my eye (or ears?) from their newest album conqueror. - Band-maid also has a subunit called Band-maiko, which was supposed to be an april fools joke, but since the fans liked it, they decided to continue it. They mainly cover their songs but they add in traditional japanese instruments. They also wear kimonos and their overall style/concept is Maikos/geishas and hard rock, which goes really well together. (Wagakki band is also an example of this style) - There are other bands I also really like and would recommend: Aldious, Mary’s Blood, Brats, Bish, doll$boxx, mutant monster and undead corporation. You probably already know babymetal. Dreamcatcher is kpop, but they make rock/kpop music (so they’re not your average kpop girl group) which is why I really like them. - If you read this far, thank you, and I hope it helped somehow! :)

Yeah, you picked the classic rock thing, producers credits include David Bowie and T-rex from the 70's era. Good spotting Grumpy -- cheers Wiz.
Good reaction
Jimmy page likes them.Nuff said.
Check out “Don’t Let Me Down” it is all in English.
The naughty song.
YES!! ruclips.net/video/0YGwUhg2XNk/видео.html
cygnetseven LOL !
Naw...not a Band Maid song.
And should definitely have the lyrics available when he does.
Feeling this review. Made me throw on my headphones and listen to Conqueror again. Hope I get to hear this song live one day.
@@sacluvsBM Who listens to CDs these day's lol.
@@Mrumff 95% of the world's population listens on crap CD players. And since Band-Maid's music is either downloaded or on CD (there are no masters or vinyl) poor people, which is most of the world's population then the answer to your question is that the vast majority do. Lol.
@@sacluvsBM Just wait, in a few more years, we'll be listening from crystals and piezoelctric technology.
Conqueror dropped in December. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conqueror_(Band-Maid_album)
I could feel some Rolling Stones vibes too, great song awesome musicianship, cheers for the reaction :D
Classic rock + some 90s bands vibe also, like:
Soundgarden or 98-2002 Pearl Jam's sound.
Also Alice in Chains (not so dark, of course, but more like their last albums' sound into a japanese female hard-prog rock band!)
Love it!
Cry of love vibe to it.Cool.
wonder how many will even get the reference?
Now we need a Mutt Lange colab.
@@DMiyash248 Followed up with a Butch Vig colab.
@@DMiyash248 Butch produced Nirvana's "Nevermind." A B-M interpretation of a Garbage song would be.....interesting.
@@DMiyash248 And why Butch produced a Foo Fighters album?
This is their anthem song, and their most political.
"It's all about the music. Nothing else matters."- Neil Young
The song compares a personal tragedy with the global tragedy. The Dragon symbolizes mother earth and with every species that goes extinct the Dragon Cries just as Saiki cries over the sudden departure (death?) of her lover.
Album long there, get it I'd say
Check out the song "Blooming"
Could you react to KARD - Red Moon 😮🥰
🤘🍻
The instrumental sounds a bit muffled in this studio version, I like the live version much much better.
Peace.
Second show at Line Cube Shibuya was filmed and DVD/Bluray will be released April 29th!
@@SLKRR Good to know. Many thanks.
It's a departure for you .....not them....only 115 songs to go.......
This song is weird for me, I love the instrumentals but the lyrics are strange to me.
IMO they should keep on just like they are with a few in English, more in a combination of English and Japanese and l think it will be alright.
@@sacluvsBM If people want English speaking bands then search them out.leave the Japanese bands alone who are into that style of music,
@@COYO-T That would limit them.
(This’ll be a quite long comment so if you’re not interested you don’t have to read it)

Their entire discography is amazing in my opinion, band-maid just simply can’t produce a bad song. They’re the only band whose every single song I genuinely enjoy.
-
The first song I ever heard from band-maid was choose me, and I’ll forever be grateful to spotify for recommending it to me. It was followed by thrill (スリル), (which is a classic, if you will) and then it just went from there.
-
Love,Passion,Matador is one of their first songs and it’s a really fun and upbeat song.
-
Hide-and-seek, unfair game and matchless gum are really good, but underrated singles in my opinion.
-
Key and bye my tears are my favorite songs from their first album, Maid in japan.
-
New beginning is my favorite album of theirs and freezer is one of my favorite songs ever. I’d also recommend shake that and beauty and the beast.
-
Yuragu, non-fiction days, order and freedom are my favorites from the album brand new maid.
-
Some of my favorites from the album Just bring it are cross, ooparts, you. and so,what?. Time is also a great song and it has only Miku’s vocals
-
ハニー (Honey), fate and I can’t live without you. are great songs from their album world domination.
-
Flying high, dilemma, azure and reincarnation really caught my eye (or ears?) from their newest album conqueror.
-
Band-maid also has a subunit called Band-maiko, which was supposed to be an april fools joke, but since the fans liked it, they decided to continue it. They mainly cover their songs but they add in traditional japanese instruments. They also wear kimonos and their overall style/concept is Maikos/geishas and hard rock, which goes really well together. (Wagakki band is also an example of this style)
-
There are other bands I also really like and would recommend: Aldious, Mary’s Blood, Brats, Bish, doll$boxx, mutant monster and undead corporation. You probably already know babymetal. Dreamcatcher is kpop, but they make rock/kpop music (so they’re not your average kpop girl group) which is why I really like them.

If you read this far, thank you, and I hope it helped somehow! :)
