Such a comforting space. Often difficult to achieve with modern spaces. But the interior designer did a phenomenal job of softening the hard materials by repeating the theme of curve furnishings. I think i would replace the blue chair in the foyer with a piano or sculpture. Something that reflects the owner’s personality.
When money is no object. The lot alone, surrounded by apartment buildings, is probably zoned for multi units. It was used to build a single family home and must have cost millions.
Absolutely beautiful, the structure of the home is gorgeous, the furniture selection is perfect with beautiful textures and omg the garden....that garden is perfection.
What a great review of a very beautiful house. The atmosphere of the house and details are conveyed. It was as if I was present in this house myself. Thank you Local Project, I criticized you, but now I praise you. You heard us, your regular subscribers. Bravo!
It's clearly well put together and has a lot of bespoke elements but lacks an identity and comes across as more of a display home showcasing what (a lot) of money can buy - very much in contrast to the other more cohesive projects featured in the 10 book at the end of the video.
Bit boring. Seems like the emphasis was on materials and textures but I did not get a good sense of space or flow. Tessellated windows with randomly clear or opaque panes are a good example. An example of Texture with no clear purpose and no real focal point or emphasis. Busily boring.
Never thought a front gate in a blank wall would impress me but the sculptural quality of the wall and highly polished contrasting gate and posts is a stunning combination
They are two different words, and not interchangeable. Also, the word 'materiality' is not unique to architecture: in law and finance, for example, it means 'significance' (roughly).
Someone had a lot of money 💰💰💰💰 to spend 😂. I am impressed, but there are definitely things that are not my taste, the steps are the bathtub are very 80's and so is the black freestanding fireplace. The entrance is fabulous 🤩
Constantly shocked by humans. The greed and selfishness you'd need to have in your heart to want a house this big, and to extract the resources from the precious earth to make it.
Impressive, the exterior and interior feel like living in an art gallery. Complete with an elevator to boot. Still unsure what it means by having a “sexy” interior design 😅
Absolutely stunning, from the front gate to the interior. It's a work of art. A longer run showing other parts of the house would be ideal, especially this house. Thank you for your amazing work, designers, architects, builders and others. Thank again Local Project for providing amazing content.
Stunning .gorgeous and perfect. Both architect and interior designer did a perfect work . Also u guys the vodeo was one of the best videos in your channel. Thank you so much ❤
Stunning architecture. However, those visible finger and hand marks on the “steel” walls/door in the entry foyer and cupboards in the kitchen area would drive me crazy. Stunning on paper but impractical for daily living.
love the curvy foyer, skylights & layered landscape ...love darker shade & curves of the bar ...only kudos to sharp accordian at kitchen isalnd if all are grown ups ...hmm top floor external facade looks more industrial tho
Gorgeous house. I especially love the view of the outdoors from the kitchen. I would have loved to have seen the house at night, the lighting. I love the materials and the decor. I’m proud that such a talented team are here in Melbourne, and can assure you that I will be reaching out to this team to build my own house, after I win Powerball.
My only complaint, is with the monolithic exterior. We see this very often in an attempt to block out the street and maximize the building’s footprint. I just wish the architects would try to present a more interesting facade. So that the average person passing by can better appreciate and enjoy great design.
If you consider the wall near the street as part of the facade, it becomes more interesting, almost intriguing... Plus, there are a lot of trees in the street (avenue) which will block the view anyway...
I studied Construction Management at UTS … had a great life, started by own company and finally bought a 911 at the age of 28 …. THEN I had the “dream”…i was on a boat cruising towards a man made island of the coast of Mumbai “All the Indian billionaires were building luxury houses and my grand child was designing the Burj al Arab hotel in India. The next morning I sold my 911 for 200,000AUD told my wife if you want we can divorce today split our 16.5million realestate portfolio because like Jesus or Mohammad….I seen the future’ my grandchildren are NOT property developers they are AMAZING DESIGNERS like the “house of PRADA” I am going back to UTS to complete my Architectural Qualifications !!!!!!!!!

I love the "stained-glass entrance" of this home. Plus, the trees make it more natural! Really beautiful! Thanks Local Project
this home is incredible
Everything about this is absolutely stunning!

your point?

Simply stunning, what a team 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
The dream team!
Beautiful space. Love the textures and materials.
Isn't it just incredible! ❤
Wow I love everything about this, I would love a 40-minute tour by Enes 😅
finally a new video been waiting for so long
What an outstanding beauty!
It's a travesty that the beautiful old heritage home on that site was demolished. What a shame.
Superb and stunning!

Interesting design
I’m just speechless❤❤
We just can't get enough of this place!
Outstanding.
very good job
can we not just say materials instead of materiality? bloody architect words!
👍👍👍
If you don’t like it, don’t watch architecture videos.
They are two different words, and not interchangeable. Also, the word 'materiality' is not unique to architecture: in law and finance, for example, it means 'significance' (roughly).
I agree , the true meaning of the word is misused and it just sounds pompous.

I wonder, how much does it costs to maintain this house.

Yes, the fireplace does seem to be a bit of an afterthought. But it does, serve as sculptural form to separate the dining and living spaces.

🤩🤩🤩
Is he saying spinal staircase?
good
👍
Wait, when you don’t give a damn about the environment or zoning AT ALL, and you have unlimited money you can build this? No way!
Stuh-ning
This house is one orgasm after another
No matter how eloquently described, it’s a furnished PRISON 🥴
???
Stunning. Wish you showed more of the garden.
You can see from the aerial view it’s 95% house on this block :)
what material are the windows (mullions) in the foyer space?
that design is amazing!

Probably they have a cleaning team working on it 24/7 so no problem at all. 🤣
a rooftop terrace with that view would really add to the house imho

This home is something truly special. ✨
This property is very unique. I wonder how many sq meters is that?
what is that fireplace?
❤❤❤
Incredible
Love the house and the ethereal music in the background ❤
Could have been wonderful. For me personal there are way to many materials and textures.

見慣れ過ぎてる建物も街並みも、画像を通じて見ると別の街みたいに見える時がありますね😅
向かう方向が逆だからかな??
What is the song at 6:53? So beautiful 🙏🏻
This home is a work of art ❤
That’s very nice
This house ! 🫣

i think it’s tacky and done in poor taste.

Difficult to know what the client wanted though

already looks outdated
Really ?
Agree - just trying a little too hard !! … some good spaces but …
This project is trying too hard.
such an incredible mish mash of colors, themes and textures. horrible.
