    Wish you covered lip formation too. 우 is not equivalent to the English u. In 우 the lips are much more puffed out.

    What about combination vowels like ㅑ, ㅕ, ㅠ, ㅘ, ㅝ, ㅢ, ㅟ, ㅚ, ㅙ, ㅞ, ㅖ, ㅒ? Why are these not in the video?

    • @FluentForeverApp

      Hi Dust!!! The video is only meant to explain the 7/8 basic Korean vowels, and we want to ensure it's not overwhelming for beginners who are not familiar with the Korean sound system. 😊

    Why do I typically hear ㅓ pronounced as [ɔ] instead of [ʌ]?

    • @frafraplanner9277
      @frafraplanner9277 9 месяцев назад +2

      Because [ɔ] is exactly the same as [ʌ] if it were rounded. I believe the Korean /ʌ/ can be rounded or half-rounded at times so that it sounds just like [ɔ]

    The two e sounds remind me of the French è and é. Are they the same? And can ㅓ be ə?

      Yes the ㅐwas originally the same sound as è in French andㅔwas the same as é.
      But now they're merging into one sound in between those sounds so that it's like the e in Spanish

      Hi Juan! The Pronunciation Trainer covers all the important issues a language has. If it is considered something that we should focus on, we're sure it will come up in the videos. Our social media team doesn't have the expertise to provide this info, our experts made sure that everything necessary is in our Pronunciation Trainer. 😊
